I know that from learning to drive in very narrow streets of Manila and with pedestrians, jeepneys, tricycles, motorcycles and very aggressive taxis coming at you without any notice, you become very aware of the environment around you when you are driving, and it also helped me become really good at estimating distances because it was a matter of survival.
