funny when germans win battles they rarely mention the other troops involved(Italians, Romanians, Huns, etc) Bottom line, they were largely commanded by Germans, and strategy by germans, and most , were germans. probably far more simiply ran away , because they were scared little shits

It's weird how the number of "zee Germans" captured in Stalingrad grows 30% every decade since 1980s. First off, not all of them were Germans. There were Romanians, Hungarians, Italians, particulary all of the modern time EU chaps. Where did 5K-6K POW returned home came from?

My great uncle was somewhere in that queue of 91,000 men walking into captivity. He was one of the only 6000 or so who survived to return to Germany over a decade later.
