Do you reallt believe that this Hippo prefers to be in the wild? Do you really think a hippo has the abiluty to think? Let me tell you this. Hippos are not like humans. They don't have fun and socialize and go to parties. They are wild animals. This hippo has a much easier and better time in the zoo. He is fed everyday, and does not need to search for food. He has his own shelter, which is cleaned out. His life expectancy also goes up by alot.
Also, It doesn't matter how wrong or inhumane it is (although I'd assume it's more humane than poachers murdering it for it's teeth.. the newest way of getting ivory) nothing you can say will change the facts of this animal's life. So don't bitch at me because I love every hippo in creation.
They're all adorable and I won't kowtow to your guilt-complex and say this one isn't just because he's caged.
Imagen being locked in your bedroom for your intire life, the most exiting part of your day being fed, you just sit there, your health being ruined, all your most private moments being watched by thousands of people you've never met, watching your entire life go by wasted, you have never spoken to anyone in your life, you just wait for it to end. That's what his life is. Is that so cute?

Yeah, it sucks for the hippo and all but at least he's not being hunted by ancient egyptians... least he's being fed and cared for. Least he's being taken to a freaking vet when he's sick.
