  • wow this must have taken you a long time to make dude good work

  • isn't this the final boss theme?

  • At first, I was like, "WHICH boss theme? There were... 4 I think. And then I heard this. Not perfect, but it's still quite nice. A little rushed at parts.

  • Final boss theme

  • very nice man

  • This is epic...

  • the best

  • Bit faster next time...!!

  • it's on it max speed

  • I meant if you were doing the GBA/PSP version

  • you can up the speed beyond that.

  • I thought FF2 NES didn't have boss themes. I know this one is the music for the Emporer in other versions.

  • The latter statement is correct. In the NES version, it was used as the boss theme starting with the Behemoth at the Arena. There was no separate final boss theme in the NES version.

  • @ff2paladin Extreeeemly late reply, but there is actually an unused Final Boss Battle Theme for that game: watch?v=-7Vd6DFLgLs

  • hey question: How did u get that and where?

  • You can find it on google. See my Mario Paint Composer Tutorial videos for more details.

  • oh... yeah hey thanx ^_^

  • i prefer the GBA version. NES version sounds empty. by the way have you heard the homer simpson version of this song? if you haven't, and you want to know what it sounds like, i'll tell you the link.

  • this is actually more like the final boss theme.

  • nes boss music=remake final boss music

  • oh. ok. i kinda figured that out eventually

  • I finally heard this one as well today - what a wonderful composition! It makes sense to have the GBA relegate it to the Final Boss only, and use passages from this one ("Battle 2") to create the two new Boss Battle themes. The cars and Gameboys are very well-chosen, and even match the version I'm now familiar with. FFII's music is very well-done overall, beginning the trend of mood-matching music with a great start. Excellent job once again!

  • That bit with the gameboys was very satisfying to hear. Also, just a little note: This actually only plays for the final boss. The actual common boss theme wasn't used in the NES versions for reasons unknown, but appeared in a very sexy updated form in Origins and Dawn Of Souls.

  • Actually, it does, but late in the game. The first time you hear it is when you fight the Behemoth with Gordon in your team. It also plays for a few other fights, as well as the final battle.

  • Ah, I see. I've been playing through the NES version lately and admittedly hadn't reached that point. *stands up and enters a state of correctedness*

  • yeah it was the boss music for "The emperor".

  • I know where you can find an OST for Final Fantasy II, and I mean the original FF2. Go to the site, Forever Fantasy. They have OSTs for FF1 and FF2, and many of the non-PS2 FFs.

  • Hey i've seen some of your works, is this really on the NES? cause i've never heard of it plus it kind of looks like a wii game xP, and since it's on the NES would it be on Ebay cause these seems kind of fun xD

  • Is what on the NES?

If you mean Final Fantasy 2, then no. It was only made for the Famicom. However, there is a fan translation ROM available, as well as numerous remakes.

If you mean Mario Paint, then it was originally released on the SNES. The program I am using is called Mario Paint Composer, which allows the use of accidentals and many other features not included in the SNES version.

  • I've utilized the volume function on a few other songs too. Battle with Gilgamesh and Zeromus come to mind. I just wish I could use it on individual instruments being played at the same time.

  • Finally! I've been waiting for someone to utilize the individual note volume function!

Oh yeah. The song doesn't sound too bad either. :P

  • Emperor of Pandamonium!

  • Final Boss theme :O

  • Actually, I think this is the BIG boss music from FFII. The regular boss music is...different, as I've heard from Dawn of Souls.

  • That's correct for the Origins and Dawn of Souls versions of the game. In the NES version, the mini-bosses (ie: Sergeant, Borgan) used the normal battle music. This was the only boss music in that version of the game.

  • Ah, I see. Thanks for clarifying that.
