  • Suzuki katanas are the best, especially the 90s ones, can u hold the wheelie in ur kat? The only bike i want is a katana

  • I did my first big clutch wheelie tonight on my 07 gsxr600...haha over last week and a bit I only tried a couple times and pretty much failed..the bike just kept speeding up/jolting forward..but tonight after riding with a mate whos ridden for ages and explained to me in person how to..I got a big wheelie out of it. I cant remember exactly which gear..think it was either 1st or 2nd..most likely 1st. I can now kinda get little wheelies out of 1st gear, but I find myself redlining :(..practice.

  • Where was the wheelie? I saw you hit a speed bump or something

  • so poor

  • @90chrisal yep, hence the "first wheelie" title :)

  • @Nygel36 I didnt know you could wheelie scooty puffs?

  • Great street to be practicing wheelies on ;) Not busy or anything!

  • Why are you doing this on the road? Find an effing parking lot bro.

  • Random wheelie video I click and its 2 blocks from my house. Oahu bruddah!

  • 0:42 <--- SKIP

  • great first pull jus work the throttle now and keep it up

  • my first wheelie was on a yz 125 (: haha, i did the compress the shocks lift and just gun it! hahaha

  • lmao you live by me man haha

  • im gonna say you bought those wing mirrors and tinted screen from ebay? because ive bought the same ones :P is there anything else youve replaced (engine, suspension, electrical or drive) that has improved the bike thoroughly and you would recommend i do?

  • good job on ur first one bro. i just got a 2000 katana as a project. corrently working on it so havent been able to drive it..but i am extremely excited..will post vids up soon

  • What kind of bike do u have?

  • i have a 92 GSX600F so thanks for the tutorial!

    check out my videos!

  • How long were you riding before you tried it? I've been riding for about 6 months... I think I'll hold off for a while before trying it though. Only recently am I //really// starting to feel confident in how the bike reacts to things. 89 GSX600

  • HELL YEAH!!!...LOL

  • Nice man, practice makes perfect I have been riding wheeles for 5 years now and can only ride one about 3 miles on my dirtbike

  • @Brandonsk33n Wow, the way i read that it sounded like the redneck ninja

  • hahahaha you remind me of myself "Im gonna end up killing myself one of these days.. probly pretty soon" xDD same thing I said first time I clutched a whopper like that. very violent. only difference was I nailed my balls on the way down >.<

  • I have a 92 katana just like this... and havnt got the balls or the technique since im 17 without experience or more than £10 due to being a student

So this is a perfect video for me :)

When people say slip the clutch... do i just accelerate at a pace which means i quickly let the clutch out then back in, the revs reach 10k and the front comes up?

  • @Olliedfox The part no one ever seems to explain is that you rev it with the clutch pulled, but once you pop the clutch you need to continue the rev after popping/slipping out the clutch.

The reason is, with the clutch pulled you can easily hit red-line, you're going for high rpm to get the jolt to compress the rear suspension and pop, but you need to continue to feed it motor power to actually pop it up well.

  • awesome vid. i've got a 2010 cbr 1000rr. i can power it up no problem, my first wheelie was actually on accident. came down and got a little head shake. scared the hell out of me. i've been doin it ever since! still a little afraid to grab the clutch. afraid my shit will backflip.

  • Nice, yeah, my first wheelie freaked me out as well. I am 14 and I ride a CR250 dirt bike, but same feeling, now I do them purposely :P

  • hell yea!!!! haha right on man! love the video. my first wheelie was like that too and it was a little hair raising at the speed it comes up. but as you get used to it, one day youll find the perfect throttle position for bringing it up and then keeping it up. sweet vid man i love it

  • Nice one ;)

  • cuts guy off at 0:28 lol

  • @McAnalLover09 dont have time to sit there and wait for that chick to turn right on her cell phone. got wheelies to do :P

  • suzuki gsxf .. 1993?

  • 0:16 A girl riding a scooter with no gear at all.. ugh

  • ....i just did my first wheelie its a 1990 600 katana. it my first bike it might be old but it will haul ass and ride wheelies. i made sure i had my foot on back break case went back. did wheelie about a 50ft in first gear. came down busted my balls on the tank

  • @mufflerbearin haven't busted em on a wheelie but on a bump in the road. my ass had to stop. lol felt sick.

  • that an early katana 600??? the controls look familiar to my 96 750, however the guages are dif

  • @festerfm yea, was a '95

  • i did my first weelie the other day without trying to... lol i got a cbr 1000 ...... it was awsome i cant wait to actualy try it out next time..

  • What kind of bike is that

  • @JEBRONJACOBS

    suzuki gsxf

  • i think this is VERY good 4 first try =D

  • try powerwheeling it up... ur gonna hurt urself if you try to pull up with ur arms.

  • Must be scary the first time :) Good luck Drive carfuly :)

  • I tried my first one yesterday and I almost shit my pants but I couldn't stop trying it.

Anyway, it was not better than yours and the haters should just fuck off.

  • my first wheelie on a CRF150 resulted in me having massive road rash on a gravel driveway. i did what you did, but i was on second gear, and there was more gear than i expected, and it flipped over, but not on me

  • HAHA :D

  • I still remember my first wheelie attempt... it felt pretty awesome :o now im much better, i can wheelie for over 2kms :p nice try :D

  • best video ever !! First that cool wheelie and second the first person view!! HAHA *up*

  • kudos!

  • that shit looks scary bro, i just got a katana fuck em if they called it weak it takes balls to do that shit

Practicing wheelies right now but I gotta rev it up a lil higher. Thanks for the tip=D

  • i had literally the same reaction with my first wheelie

    "ohhhh mannn....*chuckle to myself*.....more laughter"

  • dont say anymore that was a poor excuse for a wheelie bro sorry

  • lool your comments was really funny though. be careful

  • damn that was high

  • alright... so where is the wheelie?

  • hhaahhaha nice its scetchy ur first time

  • Yeah Buddy!!

  • haha thats funny man! i remember all that adrenaline goin through my body! still get when i get a good stunt! haha keep it up and ride safe brother!

  • thats the exact same thing i said when i did my first wheelie

  • that first one is so great so exciting i remember my first now its just second nature

  • Dudeeeeeee way too many rpms, try it in second gear bout 25mph, u wanna b bout 3k rpm just blip the gas n flick the clutch eassy

  • nice for the first one ever

i have to much fear to let the clutch slip at high rpm dont want to flip over

i can only do a power wheelie but its bad after a few seconds you run out of rpm

but i have a new bike and i am affraid to flip it of course i should start with 2nd gear

  • Good job man. I had a gixxer 600 that I had to redline to get it up and it had to be in first gear cause i didn't have it geared for wheelies (Stock sprockets). Now I just bought a 93 750F wonder if I can get it up?

  • @ispankmymonkey you aint nothing but a poser. POSER!

  • Dude! this is embarassing you should have kept this to yourself.

  • WE ALL HAVE TO START SOMEWHERE.

My first wheelie was a mistake. I was Crusing about 15mph and this superfine chick was walking doen the street. I REv the engine to get her attention. She turn over and Glanced Back I raised my left hand to waive. Not paying attention that my engine was still revving at 10k RPMS

I looked like a Bullrider with 1 hand on the bike. I hope she enjoyed it becasue It scared the shit out of me,

I NEVER MET THAT WOMAN!!!!! EVER!!!

  • @Nbx33 Lmfao nice that sounds cool and scary holy crap your just lucky u didn't crash or hit anything. u would probably be on America's funnest videos lol jk but at least u looked good in front of her

  • @ csankimonkey

    your a douche bag.

  • @csankimonkey thanks for you opinion man, as indicated by the video title... this was my first wheelie. Not sure what you are expecting from a video like this? 12'o clock for a quarter mile or something?

  • @Nygel36 - I thought it was cool. I have never done a wheelie. Not that I am scared of crashin. I am scared of crashing my bike... lol..

  • @csankimonkey i laughed out loud at your comment

  • @csankimonkey What do you ride man? A freaking cardboard box?

  • hi can u tell me the name off youre camera ? Thx

  • was that a katana 600

  • how high can you rev these things 2 thats alot more than my quad whats the max rpm?>

  • tried to wheelie my crosser with a powervalve on it the other day it tried to buck me off lol

  • i oulled a wheelie the other day and it sared the shit out of me

  • i love your videos man. i've been too chicken to pop it up but i think i'm gonna give it a shot. haha you seemed so excited, i want that too.

  • con eso y un poco de suerte si brincas una tortilla!!! dentro de 10 años espero mejores suerte!!!

  • sweet bike. i got one just like it. it wont wheelie with me on it though(im kind of a fat guy, 215lbs, lol.) its fun though. i liked the cbr929 better, but these are nice commuter bikes.

  • well that was just hilarious

  • OH MAN! Hilarious! i was excited for you. i didnt get a chance to learn before i was forced to sell my gixxer...too scared. : ( ah...regrets. great video!

  • damn ! i can tell ur adrenaline was pumping like crazy !!! i feel something like that everytime i get a nice slide ( dRiFt ) going !!! i wanna try a wheelie now !!!

  • LOL! Hellyeah! XD

  • i just did my first wheelie on an 07' ninja 250 and i'm 6"2" 200lbs. If I can do it, anyone can. lol.

  • man i love your excitement. makes me go back to my ridin dayz. Hell YEAH makes me laugh every time. HEhehe!

  • Tell you what...the next time you get a bike just be shore you get yourself a 400 pound fat girl on the back, you can be going about 2 mph and as soon as you hit the gas verroooosh yo azz gonna be hang timin in the air...super wheelie they call it her in Detroit.

  • but her fat ass will be scarping the ground and you will loose weight fast so remember to keep your speed up

  • @enshirasmama hahaha

  • hahaha

  • hows your wheelie now

  • I unfortunately dont ride anymore as I moved off the island and gave the bike away :( This video was my first last wheelie as of right now, too broke to get a new ride.

    take care

  • what kind of cam was it? i search for someone like this but i didnt found it!!! pls

  • ya dude first wheelie i've ever done was a power wheelie. I had the front tire all the way up I rode it for about 4 secs then put it back down it scared the shiit outta me.

  • HAHAHA Sweet i think im gonna go and try that!!! LOL

  • Good job man, dont let these peoples comments get you down. It always looks easy behind a computer screen

  • wow it felt like i waz there

  • lol your awesome **gets 2 inches off the ground** "HELL YA!"

    no sarcasm intended =D

  • this is in hawaii yah? seen da rainbow on licsense plate in front of you! keep tryin!

  • real men don't use the clutch

  • Nice goin' bud....I'm learning too on a gs500. Went to a 15T front sprocket to make it easier.

What kind of camera are you using and how is the audio that good.

  • nice job thats how i started out....

  • I remember the night my buddies and I were out learning to wheelie...up one side of the highway and down the other til 4am (no cars on the road save a few here and there). Finally started getting it down and decided to call it a night...headed back into town...6 cop cars waiting for us in case we ran. They gave us a break and issued 1 stunting ticket between the 3 of us.

  • oooooo...im sry dood, i know thats bad...but u gotta admit tats funny as hell...LOL

  • dogshit

  • Not Bad

  • I have no problem with doing wheelies but I wouldn't be messing around on a street like that! Find a nice quite parking lot or dead end street with no traffic.

  • My first wheelie was about a week after I bought my first motorcycle, about six months after I started riding my little 50cc Honda scooter around town. The trick to your first few wheelies is to do them small and short, just like the one in the vid here. Get that front end to lift just a little bit at first. Lol thinking back on some of the wheelies I used to pull, its a wonder I never crashed into anything or went over backward! I am so much more in control when I wheelie now haha!

  • By the way dude, you sound a hell of a lot like my brother, its a little wierd lol...

  • i have a derbi senda sm extreme, but i cant get the front wheel up more than 3 cm

How can i pull it up so high

  • if its a 50 you might have problems, my GPR only jults has it hasnt the power to lift up, so try and lift it if you get me

  • Well, while it is possible to wheelie a 50, it can be a little difficult, depending on the gearing. But the way to do it is, sit as far back on the seat as you can. Either from a stop or moving very slowly, with the clutch pulled in, give it a lot of throttle, then let the clutch out, as you increase the throttle even more, which will probably be up to wide open if you're talking about a 50. The distance that the front wheel comes off the ground in this situation will depend on how fast you let

  • out the clutch.

  • If its still really difficult to wheelie, and you really want to be able to, you can always put a bigger sprocket on the back of your bike. But that of course will give you a lower top speed and the RPM will be higher at any given speed...

  • nice, iv'e been giving it throttle then pulling and releasing the clutch, will try this today

  • u can get a bike at 16 but here in florida u have to take a 20 hour motorcycle course and u have to have ur regular license. and since we are sharing bike stories lol i got my 600rr right before i turned 16 and then had it for 5 months and now im on a k4 gsxr 1000

  • I know i can't wait im getting my first in a few months when i turn 16. Thinking of a CBR 600RR

  • when your 16, first bike? i wouldnt !

  • Why not im not gonna be a douche on it like most people here in miami hitting 140 in heavy traffic going in between cars lol. I see that happen All the time.

  • if you've riden bikes before it'll be alright but if you don't know the clutch you just gonna flip a 600

  • you say that now, but wait till you have one, when its so easy to

  • What do you mean

  • nice camera thing :D in the haed lol :

  • see if you get scared like he was thats when you screw up you need to be comforable on the bike before you do wheelies

  • i have been riding for 4 years before i tried my "first" wheelie.. hence the title of the video.... DUUURRRRRR

  • I am from Canada and the day after i turned 16 i went and got my g1 and m1 at the same time. I didn't need consent or anything. And there is no displacement limitation i am 17 now and have a 2009 gs 500F. If i wanted too i could ride a 1400 ninja or a ultra classic.

  • ah man can't wait till I'm 18 then I can get my license to ride a motorcycle

  • you can get one when your 15+ with parent consent i think. i got my permit at 16.

  • yeah in the us but unfortunately I live in holland in europe n here you have to be 18 and you can only ride a bike with 250 cc max.

  • Very true. Same in my home country: Portugal. But U.S is cool for that.

  • SAME HERE! only 5 months to go!

  • me too lol january 15th

  • Love your vids man

  • it was good for a first try! keep practicing!

  • idiot...ur not supposed to rev it when you clutch up in 1st gear..you just WOT to about 6 or 7 rpms and pop the clutch...pop rev release is 2nd gear clutch ups...squid.

  • whatsagixer - yea on a new cherry bike for sure, i dont disagree.. but i was on a 96 katana 600 that had no balls. 1st gear 12k rpm clutch was the only way to lift the front... and barely made it at that

  • be nice lol

  • GO TO A CAR PARK.

  • i do it from 2nd. i give it like 2 pumps and pop the clutch

  • not bad... but maybe not the best place to practice? so if you dump it u dont look like a douche lol but good job

  • Hey I used to live in McCully area right across from jack and the box area!

I miss that place so much!Cause I live in Mililani now:(

  • nice garage dude ;)

  • but u sound really exited tht u pulled it off lol good luck on the other tricks u try to learn

  • dude ur crazy ur beginner and ur doing it out in the open with lots a traffic

  • if you want to get longer wheelies, shift to second, put your left foot on the rear passenger peg, and keep your right on the rider peg, stand, ride till you hit 6500 rpms-7000, then preload and pull the bike up while you clutch the bike to about 10000-11000 rpms and you would have a good wheelie, if you get scared that your going to far back and the bike is going to fall back on you, the right foot is ready to push the back break, but for the katana it shouldnt go that high up

  • thats not bad at all for a first wheelie, keep practicing with the katana its hard to do them on those and trust me it is one of the hardest bikes to keep up into a wheelie because they are so heavy ha i love them though

  • what kind of camera did you use and where did you put it?

  • he has a vid called "helmet cam setup"

  • My dad took out my bike today and showed me who's boss lol. Fucking slipped the clutch and rattled through the gears right infront of me....guess I've still got a few things to learn lol. Nice one for the 1st time man, I'm still a little to nervous
