i played this when i was in Taiwan but i lost at the hospital because the damn screen couldn't detect my gun at the top left and a nurse was at the top left killing me slowly as i tried to shoot it... money eating game

I get what you mean, and to some extent I can sympathize, but I personally own and have finished all Silent Hill games (some, multiple times), except for the Orphan games. That pretty much makes me a big, BIG fan. And I can vouch that, whereas some of the new games took from Silent Hill's "conserve and survive" basis, Shattered Memories came along to remind us that it is STILL there. This arcade game isn't canon, so it doesn't matter.

Maybe it was Homecoming's "melee combat" basis that threw you off, but that, again, is explained with the character's background story (or at least what he thinks is his story, not gonna spoil more).

And, bro, honestly, if you can't handle "evolution" of a series, I say Silent Hill is not the game for you. No offense.

SH4 featured a cameo of James father, he recounted that James went to silent hill for some reason (The letter From Mary) and went missing, he has been missing for so long he hired a detective to find him.

The Detective was also never heard from again.

Well to look at it this way I think James already left SH, but this is something which refuses to fade back into non-existance, even if it was created through his vision.

I'm also quite confident in thinking James isn't the one who brought him into reality considering he had to come across a picture before he had thoughts lingering over what would happen should it would ever be encountered. That really does throw out everyone's verdict PH was 'only' created to haunt James for his sins.

Yeah, Pyramid Head was representative of James' sexual frustration (as was nearly EVERY monster in SH2 xD). He wa sunique though because he was derived uniquely from James' will to be punished for his actions, hence why he kept butchering Maria.

I really like the way these look...I've never played it, but for an arcade game it looks pretty good. Then again, the arcade games I played as a kid were Street Fighter and Area 51. It gives you a good look at the monsters, too. Since you're in first person they seem...closer up.

I managed to play this at my local arcade in the UK Kent the graphics don't seem very impressive until everything changes in realtime then it becomes apparent graphically how good this game is.

I am annoyed the gun doesn't fire fast enough though so on some bosses its very hard not to get hit but that is my only gripe with the game its fairly long for an arcade shooter great stuff hope this comes out on a home console :-)
