  • american fans are so shit i have said this on so many videos but its true

  • Totally agree :)

  • who cares. we're having a great time.

  • 3-2! hahahaha!

  • Fuck you man, Beckham has been 1 on the worlds best players 4 england

  • I care.

  • krudmonk=scum

  • nutmeggggg

  • Shame that Landon Donovan isnt English, he partners well with David. Imagine if David was American...lol

  • Why do Americans refuse to play defense in MLS???? They seem like a decent NBA

  • these 2 have become like Steven Gerarrd and Fernando Torres when it comes to collaboration. They compliment each other so well. They know each others thoughts.

  • Two great goals from two great international soccer players. Props to Donovan and Beckham.

  • the most overrated player in the history of the beautiful game.....

still, he will be heads and shoulders above the majority given the standard...

    youtube huckerby...

  • beckham should of come to chicago L.A suck cock

  • Galaxy played well this game. Their team has a serious lack of depth though. Think Beckham would be better playing on the wing like he used to.

  • sweden did just have players from the swedish 1st division and the danish league against

    usa

  • why you guys keep call it soccer.

Stop being SUCKERS and call it FOOTBALL.

    Stupid asses

  • Just to piss off people like you who actually care about the name.

  • Ì'm pissed off ...it destroys Football Image wich is religion for bilions.

just respect the history of football thats all Im asking.

  • no wonder you have a gay name

gldmj55 gay lick dick micahel jackson and im 55

  • fuck off!! We call it what we want

  • Why is American football called "football" when majority of the time the sport does not involve the foot? Otherwise soccer could've been called football, and American football for..American rugby ;)

  • thats why people make fun of you SUCKER

  • WHy does people keep saying it's his first mls goal, guys you wrong, he have scored the last season

  • The goal he scored last year was in Superliga competition, it wasn't an actual MLS game. So Beckham's goal against San Jose was his first in a regular season MLS match.

  • Beckham scored last year on a free kick so this wasnt his first MLS goal lol.

  • well, that was actually in the superliga, that wasn't an actual mls game

  • THAT's what I'm talking about!!

  • nice luv soccer

  • the msl is bad league lol

  • good job

it's always fun to skin a keeper :)

  • very low level of football compared to european leagues

  • Well US already beat Sweden and Poland. I think the US has a lot going on for them now than before. The US only needs 2 good midfield players and that's it. Defense is all right and the offense is fine. But when they play teams who will always control the midfield, that's when trouble arrives.

  • atcually or midfielders are cool we need a striker. We lack people up front who have that natural killer instinct.

  • hey i am from england and there is one thing i don't understand about mls... you have a salary cap of 20 000 dollars a week or something yet you can manage to make beckham play? how does that work?

is there an exception because it is beckham and he is here to promote football in usa or is there a rule which says 1-2 players with highest wages aren't included in salary cap???

    thanks if anyone can answer

  • MLS salary cap is like 2 million a year per team I think. They made a "designated player" rule for Beckham...every team gets one. Its basically a way for a team to get a expensive player and have it fit the cap.

  • yeah each team has what's called a "designated player" who only counts for $400,000 per year against the salary cap (which is somewhere around $2.4 million). that is how beckham, juan pablo angel, cuauhtemoc blanco, marcelo gallardo, claudio lopez, claudio reyna and denilson were signed. other existing mls players like landon donovan, carlos ruiz and eddie johnson had their salaries "grandfathered in" and so they also only counted as $400k towards the cap. i hope this explains a bit.

  • skedaddle beat me to it by about 30 seconds :)

one more thing, teams can actually trade their designated player slot to another team but a team can only have a max of 2 DP's per team. new york and dc united are the only two clubs with more than one DP slot avaiable (although both only have 1 DP signed as of now).

if seattle's team is able to sign thierry henry (as the rumors suggest), he will be that teams designated player.

  • thanks guys...

and do you think they will get rid of the salary cap any time soon??

Oh and while we are at it... the rooster superdraft thingy? what is it... i am playing this football manager game and i am chicago (random i have no preferences) anyway you get to buy players by drafting them!? but i dont get it how does it work...

thanks a lot guys! any questions about anything in europe ... go for it :)

  • superdraft is an american sports thing...it's done in basketball, baseball, american football, etc. basically, in america there is no youth system for clubs. instead, clubs sign talent from collegiate teams. in order to qualify to play in college players must be amateurs so pro teams cannot sign players until they graduate (or leave early to go pro). drafts are used to give all league teams an equal opportunity to sign players. the worst teams get first pick and teams can trade their picks, etc.

  • The clubs have all started youth academies in the last year or so which should start producing talent in a few years. It will be interesting what role the draft will play when that happens.

MLB still has a draft, but it clearly rides back burner to thier farm systems.

  • In MLB, the draft actually goes hand in hand with their farm teams. Most (if not all) college players drafted by major league teams are then allocated to their minor league affiliates to get experience. You don't see kids signing with major league clubs at 13,14,15 years old like European soccer clubs. That is the major difference in the youth systems in the states and elsewhere. There really is no club youth system in the US - in any sport. Like you said, that is starting to change with soccer.

  • ok then how is it that Freddy Adu was playing for DC United at such a young age and i'm pretty sure he hasn't finished college either

  • yes, adu was playing with dc united early but that does not discount my point because adu never went to college. he made his pro debut at 14 and thus lost any college eligibility. in fact, he was a member of project-40 / generation adidas. it's a program mls developed for the most elite young stateside soccer players. basically, they join the program (thus turning pro and losing college eligibility) but if their career doesnt pan out then mls will pay for their college tuition.

  • btw, you replied to my post concerning major league BASEBALL and not major league soccer. but again, for the most part, no clubs in any american sports sign players prior to college (basketball and american football actually instituted rules to disallow young players from being drafted straight from high school thus forcing them to attend college at least temporarily). baseball has no such rule but young players almost universally are sent to the minor leagues in lieu of straight to the majors.

  • good info mate, Adu is one of my favorite USA based players next to Donovan, but good to know. He has a great future ahead of him

  • btw i am a fulham fan... they are going down but i am born and bred there and they will come straight back up next year... thing is johnson, dempsey are sure to leave cos they are good players...

great club to support although they don't win much...

  • i am a fulham fan as well. of course, mostly because of all the americans (we call it fulhamerica where i'm from). unfortunately, i think you're right that we are relegation bound.

  • lol you wait long long

  • Backham is great!

But fcuk all American they hate WORLDS GREATESTS PLAYER!

    They don`t like him there!

    Fcuk off Americans!

  • It's more like Beckham doesn't like to play in America. It's obvious he's not enjoying himself here and he definately doesn't fit here. Tbh the only team he fit in was Man U and he was a legend there but no where else

  • if landon can score like that . What happened at the World Cup 2006?

  • he turned into an american again.

  • woah beckham was so the goal provider. if u realize it most of the time he will kick the ball form his wing position to another player in the middle then GOAL!!

  • beckam scoort a good goal

  • bbbbbbbbbbbbbbbbbbbbbbbkkkkkkkkkkkkkkkkcccccccccccccccccccclllllllllllllllllllllllllllllllllllllllllllllllllllllllllllllllllllllllllllllllllcccccccccccccccccccccccccccccccccccccccccccccccccccccccccccccccccccccccccccccccccccccccccccccccccccccccccccccccccccccccccccccccccccccccccccccccccccccccccccccccccccccccccccccccccccccccccccccccccccccccccccccccccccccccccccccccccccccccccccccccccccccccccccccccccccccccccccccccccccccccccccccccccccccccccccccccccccccccccccccccccccccccccccccccccccccccccccccccccccccccc

  • donovan hizo el gol casi momo el gol ke hizo Ismael Iñiguez contra jaguares ke asi fue en un contragolpe

  • My european friends Please don't discuss with americans about football. They haven't idea of it, they think that football is a sport played with the hands...

  • Your mom plays my sport with her hands sometimes.

  • ...

  • Saying that is like saying all Brits have bad teeth or all Italians fall down and break a leg whenever someone taps them on the shoulder.

Just because a lot of Americans don't like football doesn't mean ALL of us don't have a clue about it. Some of us love it.

  • ok...i generalized it..

and off course i know many americans and they fall in love football(original one)...

  • the defender for san jose idk what his name is but hes #5 made two big mistakes...and they both led to the goals

  • Finally!

  • beckam nr 1 pleyers beckam ilov you are the best pleyer

  • beckam nr 1 pleyers beckam ilov you are the best pleyer

  • espn guys are talkin so much shit on becks...fuck espn.. i enjoyed watchin him score

  • nice goals, but alan gordon blew like 3 or 4 wide open chances. they need ruiz back

  • Thank you for posting

  • Nice one becks, no more goals against DC United though, plz.

  • Klein played a great game. Gordon is another story.

  • he is a true player...he went to the U.S to expande their football and make it the biggest sport there too...experienced players like him should do the same! FOOTBALL FOR LIFE

  • stop hating haters.

  • Alot of the English Premiere teams are just as shitty. Also Landon Donovan is nasty

  • landon might be "slightly" over-rated in the US, because he was all we had for a while (i admit he is not the second coming of pele), but he is grossly UNDER_RATED by the rest of the world. he's fun to hate, but he has good touch, accuracy, passing skill, and ridiculous pace!!! he's only 28 btw...

  • Wrong he's 31

  • NO ... actually we are BOTH wrong. i just verified it.

Landon Timothy Donovan (born March 4, 1982 in Ontario, California)

He is actually only 26!!!! and he's not lying about his age either... for everyone who loves those ridiculous arguments

  • LOL without Becks this team would Suck so much!! but I guess it was a good game for them!! GO RED BULLS!!!

  • Oh David you should be playing real footabll in Europe now, what a WASTE of talent.

    But glad they won.

  • shut up you moron.

  • good first half...Klien fucked it up for everyone in the second half...

  • Klein?? I think you mean Gordon. Klein played a good game from my seats. Gordon was high...

  • great match dvid beckham... ur too gd for MLS !!!

  • I guess that is why his team got hammered 4-0 the week before by Colorado, huh ya knob? As if your being a Liverpool fan wasn't a sign of your stupidity in and of itself.

  • like pickin' cherries
