I really want to get an iPod classic after watching some of your videos and going to the Apple website.
Since I have never owned an iPod before, I just wanted to know if the iPod battery not being removable would be an issue and I would have to send it to Apple for replacement in a couple years. (?)
na not really an issue cause it will still work after 5 yrs and so on i mean yea the lifetime will lower but it will work to a point it fries your battery
My iPod has not had any problems with freezing or crashing. I only have to deal with it not playing videos taken with my Nokia mobile phones. Navigation used to be a little slow but has improved since the last software update. I don't know much about the compatibility with different video formats or whether it can work with an A/V cable. The silver is better if you want to avoid easily visible finger smudges and blemishes.

Hey Trent ive got a few questions about the iPod classic..
1. can you hear the HD spinning and feel it jiggle and such like the 5th gen?
2. Does the screen scratch as easy?
3. Is the screen brighter and higher resolution then the 5th gen?
Thanks :)

hey Trent, I asked a friend of mine to send me the 80gb but I have 3 questions before I go for it.
Does your 80gb crash or freeze as I hear in many forums including the apple forum.
Can I convert and put Divx & Xvid movies in this thing and can I connect it like the 30gb with a camcorder AV cable?
Which is better looking, the black or the silver?

Have you updated the firmware?
If so, what changes have you noticed?

I have updated the firmware and have noticed that the slow response of the click wheel and sluggish navigation of the menus is not as bad as before.
