The nearest I ever got, was a communtity radio show I wrote back in 2002, aptly entited "Rabbi Mickey Prozac's Rant Hour"!!;o) I must try and upload a clip of that legendary show to Sound Lantern wotsit at some point...
Ok, your fack... sound is incomparble... ok.. but, u make great sounds... i would make some music whit a some beats and your fack... noiseeeeeeeeeeee!!!!!!
I use "Ahava Raba" tuning to play Shalom Aleichem:CD(tonic)EbF#GABbCD(tonic)Eb. In my next lesson, I'm going to dictate the actual notes to this melody, and also to "Hatikvah"...WATCH THIS SPACE!
Wonderfully funky video. That said, technology changes, human nature doesn't, and David would recognize virtuosity and sensuality for their own sake today as yesterday (that's why he favored the kinnor: to avoid all that). On the other hand, the worshippers of Bacchus would ask you, "Show us how to make that equipment!" (that's why they favored the reed pipe and drums: the sexual instruments of antiquity). Throw in a sax and they'd make you their pagan high priest. :)
Well, the acoustic version of the lyre playing is so "dry and boring" because the lyre is so POORLY MADE. :P I used to have one ... it's wonderful when "miked" (as on SAVAE's recording), lousy otherwise. I once made a lyre out of pine plywood and 2-by-4's, oak crossbar and guitar strings, bridge and machine heads that sounded much better.
you're fucking creepy man.
but you sure play the hell outta your lyre

You should have your own TV show. You are so perfectly eccentric.
