The tour guides can only give the information that they are told. You may be the son of one of the owners.... but if each tour guide is not told the same details it is not their fault for any information that may be wrong. Over all it was a good tour and good job with the camera.
4:30-5:00 minute mark, Arizona was NOT the copper capital of the world, Butte Montana was.
At the turn of the 20th century, the Diesel engine hadn't been invented.
"In 1894, he filed for a patent for his new invention, dubbed the diesel engine. His engine was the first to prove that fuel could be ignited without a spark. He operated his first successful engine in 1897. In 1898, Diesel was granted U.S. Patent 608,845 for an "internal combustion engine".
I am from Europe and I visited Golfield in December 2007. It is a genuine town that was destroyed by a fire and it was rebuild in the exact same way. Goldfield is a great place located in a beautiful landscape... the mine is also worth visiting (the whistle that you hear before the train starts off is triggered by he mine guide and signals that the mine tour is about to start)
I really don't know. The tour guides showed old newspaper articles and photos from the town, but those could always be plagerised. But if its a set up, its entertaining.

That's 20 seconds of research
anonymoususerindenve 2 years ago
Neither Arizona nor Montana were the copper capitol of the world. The Upper Peninsula of Michigan is the copper capital.
That caught my attention while we were on the tour.

And according to your research, at the turn of the 20th century, the diesel engine was invented, seeing as 1898 was still in the 19th century.

The original town was mostly a large tent camp. Nothing of its structures are there today.
