my friend borrowed me his gameboy and the link cable and accidentaly the cable turned off from one of the gameboys in the middle of a trade... then.. ARTICUNO TRANSFORMED INTO A FREACKIN' MANKEY! because i wanted one so badly for my silver version

@Lash214115 actually knowing every Pokemon's final stats take away all the fun for me. I was always one of those people that catch a Pokemon and need inside wonder how powerful or defensive that Pokemon is when standing at level 100, that kinda boost up the fun when leveling up my guys and the pure enjoyment of learning new moves
I was playing Emerald for the first time, I was surfing around and I thought "Hey, Lets try and fish for some awesome water pokemon!" so im fishing and fishing... and I hook a wingull... I guess I got it in mid air or something :P My friends and I had a good laugh :)
In Emerald, I found a golden Mightyena. I was like WTF GOLD MIGHTYENA GOTTA CATCH! I throw an Ultra Ball, it shakes 3 times and Mightyena breaks free. Then he used Roar. I got mad.
i found a shiny krabby once in crystal, no poke balls though :/ i remember talking to someone before hand and then fishing, so i re did that so many times but no shiny :( and i didn't know what a shiny pokemon was

Accidentally doing the Missingno glitch with my bicycle (I forgot which slot it had to be at that time), so after doing it I was like "Wait... Did I just...". So I went to the PC I believe and stored my bicycle in there (How can a PC store a bicycle will remain a mystery). After doing that, the bicycle still appeared so I kept doing it until the 5th time then I just gave up. Yeap, good times, good times XD
In Diamond my friend had the Japanese version and instead of Cherrim in the Pokédex there was a Sawk from 5th gen, some mistake I guess and I was like WTF where do you get that Pokémon and my friend was like WTF I don't know.
@CosmicLunarEclipse there were no 5th gen designs back in 2006 Japanese Pokemon diamond days, so I have hard time believing your story. Maybe a hacked version of the game, now that can answer it.
I remember playing red with my cousin. We both battled with pokemon over level 100 using the missingno glitch and I won because I used rare candies to make my golduck level 250. That was truly the most powerful pokemon I have owned ever (without hacking of course).
I have a glitch that I came across fairly recently that I haven't seen written anywhere... Pokémon Blue version. Something in my save file is obviously not quite right, as once my save is loaded, the game's music transitions don't occur properly. For instance, the title screen music carries over to the overworld, and if I run from battle, I get wild music in the overworld. Changing maps on water after running from a battle makes the game load other music at the wrong tempo. It's very fun :P
in pokemon red, i did the missingno. glitch but instead of encountering a pokemon i battled the champion rival and he had a full party of lvl 214 glitch pokemon. unfortunately he used a move that crashed my game so i couldn't win and when i started the game up again the music was messed up like it would continue playing the pokemon center after i exited it.
I remember when my Blue version Hall of Fame record became glitched after I encountered Missingno. I actually called Nintendo to complain about it to one of their representatives, but they told me that my data was irretrievable. I was so angry, because I defeated the Elite Four and Champion at least 500 times to level up every single pokemon in the game to level 100, even maintaining their pre-evolved forms and using Pokemon Stadium boxes for extra storage capacity. It hurts me to this day. LOL
I love glitches, It just makes the game more vast and the first time I found out a glitch by myself I felt so accomplished. It was this marowak one in the pokemon tower in Lavender, You used a pokedoll and you beat the marowak and you don't need the silph scope or whatever it was called. :P. Lvl. 240 is epic
I met a dragonite in lv 78 in dragon's den behind the 8 th gym ;) it killed my team, and when i got back to try to catch it, i never found it again, only magikarps and dratini's........
@AsumDude94 Lugia was already revealed to us in the second movie (we know it can talk with help of her psychic capability's and she can Aeroblast like a boss! On the other hand Ho-oh is still mysterious to us, we only really see him once in the anime and that was that. Ho-oh is a god damn rainbow turkey, now that is what i call badassbeyondbelieve.

back in the day when everyone played red and blue and nobody had a action replay device, people had to clone mew through trading in order to get it. so everyone in this region had the exact same mew with the same stats and the same original trainer which was named philipp.
10 years later i already moved with my family and went to another school when i heard some friends talking about the old red and blue days. it turned out that everyone of them had the exact same mew
one day i was walking around in this dark cave where you have to use flash (gold version). suddenly a shiny machop appeared. however i did know that it had to be a shiny pokemon because a friend mine already caught a shiny pidgey. so i looked into my bag and was so happy that i had enough pokeballs left so i caught it.
Once i was playing on my freinds red. He was really proud with it and i thought Lets grief THE hell out of that game. I was doing al THE stupide stuff like screwing his tm's and stuff de wring his poke's and al. After i deleted like 20 Pokémon THE screen went black and i got into à battle with a shiny mew ofcourse i couldn't cath cause i couldn't get to my bag but it was really wierd
the most sad thing happend to me was when I lost my Crystal version with 249 catched and 250 seen pokes, 3 lvl 100 pokes (Meganium, Typhlosion and T-Tar). The pokemon I had seen but didn't catch was Mew, because a friend of mine used one, but none of knew how to copy pokemon...
another thing was when i met a shiny zubat, i wanted to catch it but my bayleef got a crit on the second razor leaf and killed it =(

A friend of mine once had a Golduck which he leveled up to about lv 250 by using the Rare Candy glitch in Pokemon Blue. But when he started a battle, Golduck was only on lv 99. Looks like a Pokemon could be over lv 100 in the menu, but not in battles.
My weirdest experience is when I was playing gold and I had my cyindaquil and it already learned ember by lv8 as usual so I went into the grass and battled a caterpie lv 4 it beat me and evolved into a metapod. To this day I've been trying to get that to happen again
I remember years ago when I started a new game on my Yellow Version and when I was supposed to get Pikachu I got a Lv100 Mew instead. I also remember playing on my brothers Red Version and the colors looked like Blue Version.

On my gold version, I took my team to go capture Ho-oh. My team was completely healed, and I went into the battle. I sent out my Ampharos so I could paralyze it, but it somehow OHKO me with Sacred Fire, but after it took out Ampharos, it said that I was out of pokemon, and I whited out. I was really confused. I went back, and battled it again, and nothing bad happened.

I was playing Silver with my friend and I ask him to trade me a Larvitar (my favorite Pokemon). As soon as the Larvitar got to my game, it froze and all my memory was reset.
i really wish i played when i was little. i got yellow and red for my birthday but i never got past mt moon. i just remember playing yellow walking around and doing nothing. my pikachu hated me and idk if i even i got past brock. I was probably spamming thundershock and tackle. I only started playing again with crystal on an emulator like 4 years ago and got into the games again.
I remember the first time I caught Mewtwo on blue... I didn't save beforehand, and for some reason didn't want to lose the master ball. I battled it for so long that it ran out of PP, and started struggling. One struggle before it would've died, all I had was a regular pokeball (I'd already thrown just short of 50 ultras). I threw it, did all the button combinations that I thought would work, and it caught.
I then dropped my gameboy, and it froze. I believe I cried.
I was playing crystal and the daycare people give u an egg. But mine was a shiny igglybuff. And also one time I was trading myself and the link was interrupted and I duplicated my articuno, but never found out what I lost. :( lol.
Also, another time, I was playing pokemon Ruby without any hacks or Action Replay or anything and I naturally got the PokeRus but I didn't know it. When I went to the pokemon center, I was just clicking the A button as fast as I could so I could skip the conversation and get my pokemon healed up. I barely saw the nurse's message about my pokemon having the virus so I didn't get to read the whole thing. I got super scared that something was wrong with my game so I turned it off without saving >.<
hahaha you're so right about that "not having any pokeballs" thing. In Crystal version, I was walking around that path right before Victory Road and I ran into a shiny Noctowl. I was super excited cuz it was just like Ash's Noctowl from the show but unfortunately, the only ball I had was a Master Ball and I was a noob back then so I wanted to save it. Instead, I just shut off my game becauase I thought if I came back to the same spot, I would run into the same shiny pokemon again hahaha

i was playing pokemon colosseum (around 6 years old) and i spent literally a good two years trying to be the in game, game im at the last trainer i have a zapdos (i think) and a hitmonlee left, my opponent has one pokemon. a tentacruel he used wrap like 50 times and i lost. i was so upset soo soo upset x)
thats some crazy stuff man, i remember the trainer with the 3 starters very clearly. I remember in emerald i would always hear rumors at school (4th/5th grade) about how to get deoxys and jirachi in game. i could never figure it out, to this day i still dont know its like a mystery of pokemon. like not meant to be solved.
I got a weird Pokemon Stadium 2 Box 13 in my Blue, and found a level 2 Kadabra with Bite and Hi Jump Kick. I traded her out, and used her for ages. Level 2 female Alakazam - it was so awesome. :3 Oh, and her nickname was . As in blank.
three of the 4 times ive beaten pokemon yellow, i encountered a shiny voltorb in the same room everytime. unfortunately, the first 2 times, i ran because i didn't know what it was and the third i got a crit and it died.
I remember my old Red version played host to a lot of in game glitches. Replaying it once, I went to go in the grass, which is where Prof. Oak is supposed to stop you. And when I touched the grass, for some reason the event where he comes to get you didn't trigger or something, and so I was just left in the grass, thinking "Well this is rather odd." So I wandered up the route, encountered a wild Rattata and sent out some glitchy Pokémon with a longer than normal health bar and no music.
@XENON3120 Yeah, it still worked, but it never did that particular glitch again. Like, I said, my Red version had a lot of weird bugs in it. Something similar happened another time where I encountered no wild Pokémon at all until I reset the game.
my first shiny was also a shiny geodude in my silver in dark cave it was gold and i was like OMG its sooo cooolllll and i caught it and used it through the rest of the game :D

The most crazy thing for me was probably that in I think my red version, I was in a patch of grass right before Mt. Moon where you normally find spearow and jigglypuff, and I ran into a wild eevee. Of course I freakin one shotted the thing with a crit., so I didn't get it :( The first shiny I ever saw was a shiny Wheezing, in my gold version, and I just thought the color on my gameboy was messed up, so I didn't catch that either.
i had my pokemon silver glitch like all the sprites were purple and the building were gold and when i walked in the the screen turned green but then it turned back to normal and all my pokemon were at level 1! it was weird
I had the same experience with my first and only shiny, I was on my way to the elite four in Silver and while in the cave before the elite four I ran into a pink donphan, I was like wtf is this thing? So I killed it thinking nothing of it, later on I found out it was a shiny and I hated myself. XD
Weirdest glitch I know that happened to me was one time I went to go fight Cal (The trainer in Veridian City that you can fight daily. He has a lv50 Meganium, Typhlosion, and Feraligator.) and when I got there and began the fight, he sent out a lv0 Primeape. Once I sent out my pokemon for the fight, the game would freeze. I have no idea how this happened or what I could have done to make this happen. This was on my Silver version btw.

I didn't wanted him so, I put it on my pokemon stadium and when I watched his informations. Instead of his normal color, it has purple body and green bulb o.O, still waiting to know if it's shiny or not (I still have this strange bulbasaur). I also catched prof oak when I was younger, forgot how. It was on red, bad idea cause it crashed and I needed to buy newone

That only happens if it gets experience from battle. If you level it up with rare candies it will keep going up to a certain extent then hit level 0.

I remember when my Blue version Hall of Fame record became glitched after I encountered Missingno. I actually called Nintendo to complain about it to one of their representatives, but they told me that my data was irretrievable. I was so angry, because I defeated the Elite Four and Champion at least 500 times to level up every single pokemon in the game to level 100, even maintaining their pre-evolved forms and using Pokemon Stadium boxes for extra storage capacity. It hurts me to this day. LOL

I remember about shiny pokemon I've encountered in Crystal.
The first time was a Weedle. I just killed it without realizing it was 'special'.
The second time I met a shiny Ryhorn, I always have pokeballs with me. BUT party and my box were full. So I was unable to catch it.
Third time a blue Yanma, I finally got a shiny. :x

I love glitches, It just makes the game more vast and the first time I found out a glitch by myself I felt so accomplished. It was this marowak one in the pokemon tower in Lavender, You used a pokedoll and you beat the marowak and you don't need the silph scope or whatever it was called. :P. Lvl. 240 is epic

@XENON3120 i remember like when gold/silver just came out and i was surfing randomly like a boss, and suddenly i found a cave and entered. at the heart of the cave i found lugia and caught it. i though to myself that i was the best pokemon trainer in the world and nowone else knew about it back in the days. i showed it to my friends and it was soo legend ;)

My brother got two shinies in third gen, a nidoran male and a shelder, so he was always bragging and I always said i'd catch a shiny Mewtwo someday ever since second gen. 2009, starting a new file on Diamond, fuck don't wanna walk through the grass. Mind you this is before I could get any pokeballs, before Rowan let's you name your starter. First and only shiny poke i've ever seen, Lvl. 4 Bidoof.

back in the day when everyone played red and blue and nobody had a action replay device, people had to clone mew through trading in order to get it. so everyone in this region had the exact same mew with the same stats and the same original trainer which was named philipp.
10 years later i already moved with my family and went to another school when i heard some friends talking about the old red and blue days. it turned out that everyone of them had the exact same mew

the most sad thing happend to me was when I lost my Crystal version with 249 catched and 250 seen pokes, 3 lvl 100 pokes (Meganium, Typhlosion and T-Tar). The pokemon I had seen but didn't catch was Mew, because a friend of mine used one, but none of knew how to copy pokemon...
another thing was when i met a shiny zubat, i wanted to catch it but my bayleef got a crit on the second razor leaf and killed it =(

A friend of mine once had a Golduck which he leveled up to about lv 250 by using the Rare Candy glitch in Pokemon Blue. But when he started a battle, Golduck was only on lv 99. Looks like a Pokemon could be over lv 100 in the menu, but not in battles.

i played through my gold game on my silver pikachu and pichu gameboy color at the start i got thegg, but when i looked at it it sayed it was a bad egg,so being the n00b i was i decided to clone it and at that point i had an entire team of bad eggs and then my cyndaquil. so that was great,as i went further throughout the game i was at the third gym and one of the bad eggs decides to hatch and it was a Jigglypuff at level 156with question marks on everything includin moves but spattck which was731

On my gold version, I took my team to go capture Ho-oh. My team was completely healed, and I went into the battle. I sent out my Ampharos so I could paralyze it, but it somehow OHKO me with Sacred Fire, but after it took out Ampharos, it said that I was out of pokemon, and I whited out. I was really confused. I went back, and battled it again, and nothing bad happened.

I remember the first time I caught Mewtwo on blue... I didn't save beforehand, and for some reason didn't want to lose the master ball. I battled it for so long that it ran out of PP, and started struggling. One struggle before it would've died, all I had was a regular pokeball (I'd already thrown just short of 50 ultras). I threw it, did all the button combinations that I thought would work, and it caught.
I then dropped my gameboy, and it froze. I believe I cried.

Also, another time, I was playing pokemon Ruby without any hacks or Action Replay or anything and I naturally got the PokeRus but I didn't know it. When I went to the pokemon center, I was just clicking the A button as fast as I could so I could skip the conversation and get my pokemon healed up. I barely saw the nurse's message about my pokemon having the virus so I didn't get to read the whole thing. I got super scared that something was wrong with my game so I turned it off without saving >.<

hahaha you're so right about that "not having any pokeballs" thing. In Crystal version, I was walking around that path right before Victory Road and I ran into a shiny Noctowl. I was super excited cuz it was just like Ash's Noctowl from the show but unfortunately, the only ball I had was a Master Ball and I was a noob back then so I wanted to save it. Instead, I just shut off my game becauase I thought if I came back to the same spot, I would run into the same shiny pokemon again hahaha

I remember in emerald i would always hear rumors at school (4th/5th grade) about how to get deoxys and jirachi in game. i could never figure it out, to this day i still dont know its like a mystery of pokemon. like not meant to be solved.

I remember my old Red version played host to a lot of in game glitches. Replaying it once, I went to go in the grass, which is where Prof. Oak is supposed to stop you. And when I touched the grass, for some reason the event where he comes to get you didn't trigger or something, and so I was just left in the grass, thinking "Well this is rather odd." So I wandered up the route, encountered a wild Rattata and sent out some glitchy Pokémon with a longer than normal health bar and no music.

@XENON3120 Yeah, it still worked, but it never did that particular glitch again. Like, I said, my Red version had a lot of weird bugs in it. Something similar happened another time where I encountered no wild Pokémon at all until I reset the game.

The most crazy thing for me was probably that in I think my red version, I was in a patch of grass right before Mt. Moon where you normally find spearow and jigglypuff, and I ran into a wild eevee. Of course I freakin one shotted the thing with a crit., so I didn't get it :( The first shiny I ever saw was a shiny Wheezing, in my gold version, and I just thought the color on my gameboy was messed up, so I didn't catch that either.

Weirdest glitch I know that happened to me was one time I went to go fight Cal (The trainer in Veridian City that you can fight daily. He has a lv50 Meganium, Typhlosion, and Feraligator.) and when I got there and began the fight, he sent out a lv0 Primeape. Once I sent out my pokemon for the fight, the game would freeze. I have no idea how this happened or what I could have done to make this happen. This was on my Silver version btw.

I remember when I was playing Red, I came across the missingno glitch for the first time. Immediately after the missingno, I encountered a lvl 402 golbat. I could not even scratch that thing, it just wing attacked through my entire team.
Then I went back, and I found a lvl 703 magmar. It was weird...

I didn't wanted him so, I put it on my pokemon stadium and when I watched his informations. Instead of his normal color, it has purple body and green bulb o.O, still waiting to know if it's shiny or not (I still have this strange bulbasaur). I also catched prof oak when I was younger, forgot how. It was on red, bad idea cause it crashed and I needed to buy newone
