This is fantastic, definitely the cleanest i've seen it being played. I've been playing piano for 3 years...I'm going to try and attempt this now :/ It doesn't look extremely difficult, but i just don't think that my fingers are fast enough! :D

so Rimsky-Korsakov wrote this piece? so what does Horowitz have to do with it? is this a different arrangement that he did? also, where can i buy sheet music for this version?

@joemarmer5493 Rimsky-Korsakov wrote this piece for orchestra. This is a piano solo transcription made by Rachmaninov, and Horowitz plays the same. I think you can download the sheet music from internet (maybe from IMSLP). There is also another famous transcription made by Cziffra, that is most difficult but that i don't like so much.

@albicyro thank you very much! I actually meant Rachmaninov not Horowitz. I have tried to find it online, but the only ones I have found are the Rimsky-Korsakov version- does this mean that it is not this version?

Many people are very stupid by judging a pianists ability using this piece.. I know it's VERY hard but they shouldn't be using this piece as a basis for the skills in piano.. After all, interpretation stands out in the end..

i'm attempting to learn the korsakov arrangment, but rachmaninov's is way cooler. i could never do the corssing or large chords, my hands are too small.

I take the starting E with L.H. (2nd finger), and after all with R.H. until the successive E on lower octave (R.H. is over L.H.). After taking the starting E, L.H. goes away and takes position on the lower E starting measure 3 (always with 2nd finger). Fingering of R.H. is 4-3-2 and for three times 4-3-2-1. Than you repeat all of this in measure 3 and 4. Measure 5 is the same of 1 and 3. From measure 6 I take all with R.H. (also the E) with tis fingering: 4-3-1-2 4-3-2-1.

How I wish I can play like you. I played this piece before but kind of simplified version. I tried to find version like yours but couldn't find, and now, because of your video is very clear that i even can see every single note you play and use it as a study, ha! But sadly, I still not quite sure some of the chords especially somewhere at the last part.
