  • The drummer is Aaron Stern of Matchbox Romance. This was when Mark hurt a disc in his back.

  • Weak crowd...

  • It looks like fazzi playing the drums

  • this may sound dumb, but is matt fazzi playing drums?

  • anyone hear the guitar mistake @ 2:32?

  • is that a macbeth shirt i see? on matt

  • Crowd sucks so much dick.

  • @2:40 thats soo sweet

  • song in the beginning? btw awesome song :D

  • Love the music without words in the beginning. Sounds so good, would def listen to that all day on loop as the soundtrack of my life if I could!

  • matt is my favorite bassist :)

  • @zmoney682 Ditto. :3

  • mics are turned down far too low.

  • what a bad crowd lol they didnt even look excited..

  • Nice intro:)

  • SHITY AUDIENCE DX

i would've been slaming aroud if i were in the fkn front row DX

  • im glad matt rubano left, suriously i could play better bass then him. i liked there old stuff better, hopefully with the ''tell all your friends'' line up there next album will kick ass! nolan you better scream! much love to TBS though!!! XD

  • @lickmysalad808 are you fucking serious or are you just being a dumbass

  • @SomeWeirdUsername182 is there a problem with my opionion? matt rubano isnt that good dude, thats a fact.

  • i think adam is trying to sound like a classic rocker. just the way he pronounces some words and talks and stuff. examples "take it away boooyzzzzz" and "calm dooowuuun" and "where have you beaan" u can chek urself, thats just wut i think

  • where is mark? thats what i was thinkin also haha

  • @enjoiemerica02

i'm pretty sure Mark was sick during this. I think he had back problems or something :S.

  • this band is very black and white with their live shows, sometimes they're amazing and other times the jump soo far from the mark.

  • @fightingforlacy I completely agree. Live shows are really hit-or-miss. I watched the "Live in Chicago" version after this video.

It was like coming up for air after being underwater, lol

  • that ladies on extasy lol

  • erm shit crowd?

  • uhm wheres mark!?

  • matt's a much better bassist than shaun. feel bad for him.

  • Can u sound worse live? Lol

  • who is that drumming?

  • At least the crowds pumping.

  • I missed them when they came to Phoenix this summer, but they came back and played a free show for Arizona State University students! Cant beat that!

  • I was at both shows...they were amazing...just pure amazing. I believe I got an eargasm at the ASU one. lol

  • Can we just talk about Matt Rubano's hair for a second?

  • Crowd is buzzin...? :\

  • I've seen TBS four times in the past year, and each time they have been amazing! I agree with the comment about if the crowd isn't into it, Adam isn't either.

Either way, they're amazing to see in concert and awesome to party with!

  • adam's performance depends a lot on the crowd too, if they're not into it at all then he doesn't put his best out there. i went to a concert a few weeks ago and the crowd was dead so adam wasn't really into it... then they played a song the whole crowd knew (cute without the e) and the whole place erupted and adam was amazing from that point on.

  • That is not Mark on the drums! D:

I did hear about some back condition, but I have no idea if that was during this time.

  • u kinda also have to considered that its the 3rd or 4th week of tour when that show happened so it can take a toll on his voice.. and it was miserably hot and plus all that jumping and mic swinging gets tiring.. i mean even someone who can naturally sing great live would sound bad after the 3rd or 4th week of tour.. ive seen adam sing great and badly live.. and the fact that adam smokes and drink affects his performance too

  • from like 2:05 to 2:25 is that lady like having sex to adams voice?!

    completely understandable... ;)

  • shes an absolute nutter

  • Does anyone know why Mark isn't drumming???

  • he hurt his back so he took a break form the tour, i believe thats Mathbook Romances drummer, but i think i mixed up the band

  • haha i agree with Kandilikes that the Crowd is Shit but then again in this video (excuse my newness to TBS but) the lead vocalist is Really doing a bad job in this video. i saw another comment by a vocalist saying how in a few years he would have like totally rung out his vocal cords (the video was from their Louder Now tour) so i think his voice has just been REALLY worn down

  • Awesome bass line!!!!!

  • i think project revolution should be sold on a dvd

  • can anybody tell me what vocal effector adam was using?

    thanks!

  • The pedal that is hooked to the mic is giving him that effect. It's a line 6 pedal. Idk the exact effect but sounds like a phaser with a lot of low pass filter.

  • is that effect made adam sounds something like "Radio" ?

  • Huh? The effect is from the pedal. The mic is hooked up to the pedal and you can see him push the buttons on the pedal. Im really not sure of the effect I dont use effects like that in my music. But I do use a phaser which sounds like what he is using. And there is a lot of Low pass which makes his voice sound like plain.

  • It's an Autotune mic.

  • No offense but there's no such thing as an "autotune mic" autotune can be used as a 9" rackmount or as a VST plugin... besides that, you can clearly hear that there's no autotune used in this performance, there are so many wrong notes. However, on the live album; Taking Back Sunday - Live From Bamboozle 09' they used autotune. ^^

  • This crowd is shit

  • this sounds better than another live vid of this song that i just watched :)

  • FAT FAT FAT FAT

  • the chick in the front row at 2:17 looks like shes gonna ride adam!

  • i probly would have

  • @hairynip92 this chick definitly blew the entire band...lol

  • What the fuck is wrong with that crowd?!?!

  • SHITTY CROWD

  • fred is so badass

  • fred was awesome here!

  • different key or something he's so off.

  • Adam? I've seen much, much worse; just from him too. This is actually pretty solid for a rock band that doesn't have members over the age of 40.

  • i always wish i had the tabs for that little solo he always plays before they play this song live ):

  • yeah the crowd fucking suck, cant stand people that stand at concerts for fuck all reason.

  • Some people like to actualy watch concerts instead of mosh stupid -_-

  • i was at this show..every band was awesome but the crowd was lame....why would you go to a show just to stand around...

  • maybe to listen to the music? but what do I know, since some come just to fight anyway?

  • whos drumming for them here?

  • matchbox 20's drummer

  • you mean matchbook romance.

  • yea lol sorry

  • adam hocks a loogie at 2:21 lmao

  • I hate the crowd ¬___¬

Taking Back Sunday are so awesome

    Love New Again =D

  • you should have seen them at bamboozle... fucking incredibleeee omggg...

  • they were amazing

  • they are actually really good live... I don't know about this one:P

  • @tangja The band is amazing live, Adam, not so much... but he makes up for his vocals with his stage presence and just pure entertainment with the mic swinging.

  • You may not notice it, but Adam sings notes that are very high and difficult for a lot of male vocalists to sing. It's not surprising that he has trouble doing it live. A lot of bands are the same, but they still put on a great show which is what matters, right?

  • I could barely hear him at boulder theater.. which makes me feel they're completely studio made. Even I commented on anberlin's performance and they were BETTER then taking back.. which is terrible to say considering anberlin was pretty bad.. I real singer is one that can outperform whats on their cds.. take for example rise against.. holy shit are they good live.

  • Seriously? Rise Against?

His voice is pretty awful live, at least 60% of the time.

  • will someone plz send me the tabs for the intro for both bass and guitar?!?

  • ultimate guitar

  • that intro sounded pretty cool, and as always, fred was amazing

  • damn the crowd is dead :^/ if your not going to root for your band why bother going to there concert?

  • Whys this crowd so shit??

    omg..

  • it sounded fine to me.

  • 2:44 - 2:45 he throws a little hick accent in there xDDDD

  • Hahah! didn't notice that before.

  • aaron stern destroys!!!

  • is that the drummer from new found glory?

  • nope that's Aaron Stern from Matchbook Romance, Mark was suffering from a herniated disc in his back and couldn't play.

  • Oh Where is the old drummer of them.

    Or he Diet.

  • 2:07 is that lady having sex

  • i think ur rite... OR.... she's having an orgasm just from listening to adam's voice.. @_@

  • T_T

    Fred...

  • Fred's vocals sound better than Adam's cause Fred's voice is stronger plus Adam's not good with live performances.

  • No, adam can give a great live performance....when he's not hopped up on....well, idk what his preferences on illegal substances are, but if he would get clean, it would do wonders for his live performances.

  • i dunno about that, but talking from personal experience, Adam has a larger and harder vocal range to hit than Fred, plus he's got to move around and entertain the crowd, combine that with not enough rest between songs and it can get pretty hard to hold your own on stage.

  • yea and fred doesn't sing a whole song, just parts

  • lol that was the WORST crowd i have every seen

can you imagine a circle pit down hill in that crowd lol it would be deadly =]

  • I've watched multiple videos of taking back sunday live and the back up singer outshines the lead every single time. The lead vocalist is seriously lacking, all he has to do is sing (of which he only does half) and he cant even come close to the notes...tsk tsk. This is a sad day for taking back sunday

  • You could at least say Fred and Adam's names... But yeah I can't agree with you any more. I love the way Adam works the crowd though, the mic swings and all that are siiiick. Sadly the crowd for that show was laaaame. No energy from them at all -_-

  • theyll never do better than louder now best album ever!

  • +1 to that.

I mean, I love Tell All Your Friends and Where You Want To Be as much as anyone, but Louder Now is one of my favourite albums ever.

  • i dont mean to be an ass, but louder now wasnt their best album, it was alright, but the past 2 had lyrics that mean something, and dont repeat the chorus 5 times, idk i love TBS more than anyone, im just disagreeing that louder now was the best

  • louder now put them to the top of the charts but i agree it was very overratted... i love where you want to be and think its better

  • yeah they got caught up in becoming popular so they went pretty main stream, idk from New Again the only song that seems to not be the usuall mainstream stuff is Everything Must Go, it sounds pretty epic

  • Really?

Personally I found the lyrics on Louder Now to be more inspirational and beautiful than anything they've done before.

I mean, I can't find anything as twisted as MakeDamnSure, Liar or Spin on the other two albums, although I must admit some do come close.

Maybe its just that I heard Louder Now first, and got their earlier stuff later.

Still, they're one of the few bands who I have the entire discography of, and can listen to it from start to finish.

  • ehh, the lyrics were deeper on the other albums, like Ballad of Sal Villnueva, Great Romances of the 20th Century, Ghost Man On Third, There's No I In Team, Timberwolves at New Jersey... those are some good lyrics

  • just got tickets for june 20th electric factory, im so stoked=D

  • This was in Detroit...The entire PR performance was recorded (MCR, LP and others).

  • Im like 98% sure this was at the tweeter center in Mansfield, MA

    I was there :-)

  • The intro to this is just phenomenal.

  • is this the show in 07 down at the ford amphitheatre in tampa florida?

    it seems like it

  • why does this look like the lamest fucking crowd ever

  • warner bros is the worst thing that ever happened to TBS

  • what the fuck is up with that woman right before adam spits at 2:20

    lol shes stoned or summat

  • hahahaha. i saw that and i scrolled down to see if anyone posted about her and i found this.

  • wow matts bass sounds great.

  • was this at the tweeter center in massachusetts by any chance?

  • shit fred and matt are bomb.

  • Who's on the drums?

  • its the drummer of some band that theyre friends with. Mark hurt something in his back on that tour and had to go home.

  • The drummer from Matchbook Romance

  • The sound just wasn't mixed well for this video.

  • mattt rubano[:

hes sooo good at the bass=]

    i love him(:

  • damn fred was such a good guitarist. if only his style fit tbs.

  • ah...

    im xori!!!!

is he the person in youre so last summer??

just want too know things about them!!!!!!!

  • they have good stage presence but they cant sing outside of a recording studio

  • Search up MakeDamnSure. LIVE on DVD. After little tweaking from the sound engineers to get the EQ right to fit the audio, you'll see their actual singing.

  • yeah or even watch the error operator live in chicago in the related videos on the side. They are pretty good in that.

  • check my channel's favourites and look for the make damn sure live vid and it will change your mind

  • yeah the crowd isnt into it lol tbs isnt good live anyway

  • I beg to differ.

  • WTF THE CROWD SUCKED.

  • is he new vocalist?

  • ... what?

    Are you being serious?

    He's Adam Lazzara.

  • rofl at 2:17

  • i was at this show... was a great show...

  • haha i love how he just lets out lugis when hes performing, he did it at virgin mobile festival and he goes "Im sorry that was actually really gross" haha but he does it here at 2:20

  • lugis??

  • yeah as in snot and spit

  • so not a tbs crowd..

  • Oh man oh man oh man, they were having an off night. =[

  • i no!!!!

  • this does suck. i saw them live three days ago and they were amazing. must be the venue or something

  • tbs seems to vary. like alot of their performances are flawless and them some are terrible. whatever though they are great.

  • 2:07

that hot brunette looks like she's riding a dick underneath

    LOLsssssssss

  • oath that!!

  • ha ha ha ha ha that made me laugh so hard lol

  • from 40 seconds to 43 seconds adam sounds like a preacher hahahah

  • adam sounds shitty lol

  • Wow the crowd is lame.

  • where was that at???

  • i prefer TBS in arenas or indoor concerts seem them twice indoors and they were fucking tight and amazing...i dunno?? lol

  • they kinda suck live, or at least the lead singer does...the guitar solo was awsome..

  • WTF IS WRONG WITH THOSE PEOPLE

they have musical gods playing infront of them and only about 5 people are head banging id kill to see them live.

  • lame crowd

  • what is the footswitch adams playin with at 2:57 ? does anyone know what madel it is? xx

  • adam looks thick

  • u gotta give him some credit, he can sing. but that day was like 100 degrees and it was one of the last songs they did, id be pretty fucking tired.

  • this show was fucking awesome

  • what the hell was that girl doing grinding the bars? xD lmao

anyways, love taking back sunday! <3

  • el publico es demasiado aburrido

  • haha that chick 2:15- 2:20 is hilarious

  • so how about Matt's solo/bass intro in the very beginning? just trying to change the subject haha...here and there in this the vocals are off a bit but overall this is pretty tight...especially for playing w/ a different drummer and btw it was like 95 degrees out and it was really humid...which isn't good for the vocal chords

  • thank you! i think its so cool, that whole jam out is freakin awesome, they should put out a whole song like that...thats just me.

  • yes it's true adam isnt great at singing in THIS ONE song, but he's been great in other songs. anyone critisizing his should try singing those high notes and stretch

  • that little jam out session in the beggining is soooo cool! god i love it, its so hard to break down, i love that bass line. that whole thing is sick though, they really should put out a whole song like that. thats just my 2 cents.
