I don't care if it is a kids show. The Red Lanterns kill a fuck ton of people in the DC comic universe and so do the Sinestro core. I do like the use of the blood power, but Red Lanterns are a hell of a lot more angry. They are doing a lot of things right though. I think this will get even better in time.

I saw the first episode a while back when CN had a preview and it was pretty good. The animation is going to take a bit getting used to but, for me, it was the same way with Batman the Animated series with the throwback animation rather being realistic. In a few seasons it won't look any diffrent. :)

I just started reading 4 of the New 52's. Green Lantern, Green Lantern Corps, New Guardians and Red Lanterns. I'm pretty hooked on the GL universe now. This... does not excite me. Red Lanterns speaking coherently and showing signs of reason? Blasphemy!! Also, the artwork is awful. Cartoon Network, please don't rape Green Lantern with "Clone Wars" art. @warlock666ish Yeah the Red Lanterns series in the new 52 is turning out very interesting, and I'm liking the direction of the Green Lantern series. This show is probably aimed towards a younger audience so I'm thinking the bad guys being coherent is more suitable then mindless rage consumed ones in the comic. I don't necessarily love the CG myself but I think that the show deserves to be given a shot. The premier is this Friday (Nov. 11th) so we'll see then how it plays out.

But the beauty of CG was obviously that you can get very dynamic lighting, and you can get very dynamic camera angles, and I think that lighting and camera angles can really make a sci-fi show soar." I'm just going to give it a fair chance when it comes out and try not to let the CG spoil it for me. The red lanterns thing was probably because the producers were asked to stay away from Sinestro for the time being because of his questionable status in the new 52 comics, and red lanterns were the next best thing for a long term enemy.
