@freakstyle2030, if i twists up to much it will break a u-joint...im going to build some traction bars for my 78 f250, it probably has about this much axle wrap.
@MrZach53 See how the pinion twisted when he gave it gas? also known as axle wrap. I'm sure he has invested in ladder bars to correct and eliminate it.
My uncle had a built 460 in a Ford Bronco. He was putting it in reverse, then in some forwards gear and popping the clutch and making it bounce a little. After he did it a few times when he popped the clutch he broke the back axle going to the tire. A 1 ton axle.
i had the same thing....bad axle rap. one day at a green light i decided to hit it and the yoke from the diff snaped and the drive shaft took out my entire exhaust system. had to hammer the rest of the shaft off and drive home with the front tires engaged
i snapped my yolk on my suburban from puting it in reverse and then in drive i ended up having it towed to donnells auto body and they charge me 300 to fix it 500 for 5 months of storage and on top of it they stole my $300 amplifier and my $200 Capacitor i didn't notice it was stolen till i got home the cops cant do anything about it no proof but i will get that shop back

truck has 4 link with cage and full hydro steering now, coilovers in rear on propane with aluminum heads and 12.2:1 compression

I took the ladder bars off and had someone video tape it so i could see the axle wrap for myself.
This was years ago...the truck is now a truggy with a ladder bar shackle setup with a flatbed racing seats running on propane etc...
