  • A nice masterpiece! By the way, the quiet part at 16:30 sounds like a folk-ish version of Maggot Brain, at least to me.

  • A piece of art, audio (visual)....(...)

  • 11:54 Klingonese

  • A FOCKIN1 yes

  • Its so easy for some people to "rudely" criticize this music. For those of you that do find the need to do so, I have to ask, what have you composed lately? You can offer criticism without being rude about it.

  • @Msdistarr Lesser mind feel empowered by rude criticism, not something that could bother intelligence!

  • @FastEddieNelsonThanks for your reply. I'm glad to see that I'm not the only person that is bothered by this. I feel the need to say something because if we don't, then the behavior becomes the "norm" and totally accepted. I for one, don't want to accept it. What ever happened to showing others respect? I'm one very small voice, but a persistent one.

  • trop canon comme son !!

  • I wonder what it would sound like if Mike Oldfield,Robin Trower and Jethro Tull Played together.

  • @drichmond60 King Crimson

  • Is it possible to enjoy this exquisite piece of creativity ? or not. If you don't like it piss off, so tired cowardly wakos hiding behind words.

  • Why does One must feel the need for possession.

  • this is Mike Oldfield.

If you don't understand it you gotta listen to mooooooooreeeee music, then come back knowing all kinds of music and you ll float into this amazing world where music is like a book to read and it captures every brain cell, your soul, and your ears.

Some people just want to hear a reggea song and relaxe..

this is more like art. creating emotions, featured by demanding guitar riffs.

  • 21.45: WTF

  • Mike should have ended this side at 21:44

  • Does anyone know the story behind that small peice of this album ending up in the exorcist?, why would Mike Oldfield let that be included in the movie?

  • The first ten minutes is boring. Then the rest is divine!

  • sounds like my balls being sliced with razors

  • I think someone should give the angry Swedish man some Haribo or something, he sounds quite upset...

  • So why does part 2 have over 3 times more views than part 1?

  • These days the word "epic" is overused but starting at 8:48 you get to hear what epic really means. I love that buildup into the "caveman" section of the song.

  • Feels like a brave young knight is wandering into the forest and is confronted by a savage beast!

  • I think this is not part 2, this is Harmonic & peace

  • When I owned the cassette tape of this album I liked side one, but I don;t think I ever sat through side two more than because IT SUCKS. It seems like bits are haphazardly stitched togehter---side one had the feel as well, but it flowed a little more smoothly. Just dull.

  • beautiful, but I nearly shat myself when oldfield started grunting and growling at 11:55!

  • @Frobe1357 Music to sooth the savage beast!!!

  • @Frobe1357 that part you mention is meant to be Piltdown Man talking & some people say it's the Devil talking. I first heard this album as a child many many years ago it's one album I'll never forget & I'm a long haired tattooed heavy metal fan from way back but I love this album.

  • @anzacproud actually I found out that his producer wanted him to release a single with lyrics and he argued with him and then he got drunk, shouted "lyrics I'll give you lyrics!!!) and whent into the studio and just made caveman like grunts. and yeah I'm a bit of a metal fan myself, metalheads tend to have quite a versatile taste in music

  • @Frobe1357 I THOUGHT THE SAME THING TOO Those grunts reminded me of Death Metal growls but I was like no way this is way before that time haha

  • a truly wonderful piece of music, stumbled onto by complete accident!

  • Top stuff. Masterpiece. Memories from the 70's. Thanks for posting mate. From the old Aussie.

  • BR00T4L \M/ jk wtf is this shit?

  • Thankyou for posting this piece - we grew up hearing this, werent we lucky !

    Very dear to our Hearts.

  • @Aqene1000 Well if memory serves me well then I think I must of first got into it around '94-'95. By then it was a classic to those who knew it, & for me soon after ^_^
