No, I don't think we do need to buy oil from them at all. You don't feed an enemy that continues to attack you.
Yes, I have heard the "hold America hostage and extract MORE sales from them at knifepoint," argument and I am kinda leaning away from that, like, with every fiber of my being.
The idea they will pay what they owe on this is really filled with holes. You don't feed an enemy you starve him out.
great video.. but bp needs to SPEND MORE ON ADVERTISEMENTS SMOOTHING OVER THE SITUATION! we need to now more than ever buy fuel from bp gas stations so they have money coming in to continue operating. the cost of this spill is estimated arouind 300 million dollars a day!. BP files bankruptcy and then its american tax payers that pay for the clean up then all people displaced financially by the spill have no one to sue as they deserve reimbursement from bp only be bp will no longer exist
@usernametaken1932 No, I don't think we do need to buy oil from them at all. You don't feed an enemy that continues to attack you.

@usernametaken1932 wake up! They are not going to clean up the oil. They are going to get their well running again, stuff a cucumber up our ass, through some checklettes around then fade. Tell me one damned thing they have done or said in good faith. Listen to me like we're lovers, real close. Mash your face against the screen if that helps: you are deluding yourself. WAKE THE FUCK UP
@TripBoomLikeThat yeah, everything is pretty simple. Dragging me into a convo about NRA and smoking? Look. You can't flim flam me. The sign says BP on it. No amount of lawyering is going to make me believe, that if I stay away, and encourage others to stay away, I'm not hurting BP. With respect: sell that story walking;)
@Kearnspalmbay Isn't that something you should be thinking about? Boycott, urge people to dump stock, get BP to declare bankruptcy. Now who cleans up the oil? I can tell you the answer to that, a guy named John Q. Public. As much as we hate BP, we need them healthy enough to clean up their mess and compensate people for lost work. Spreading hate and revenge just leads to bad decisions.
@nascarbilly2424 This is a good point. NIMBY is our motto as a nation and it is wrong. However, BP is in charge of this rig. These companies have done nothing but buy off politicians and officials all the while assuring us this activity, even in the profound offshore, off the shelf and onto the abyssal was perfectly harmless. Paybacks are a b but they are a necc. part of biz. evolution
@nascarbilly2424 again, the human shield argument. Unfortunate part of life this. Unless we do something we have no balls, no right, no business ever protesting anything and I won't live part of a nation of gutless pussies, which is a natural extraction to your suggestion of non-involvement.
@nascarbilly2424 Calling people ass hats makes you sound just as intelligent.
Do you realize that BP is a multi billion dollar organization that won't go bankrupt even if they lose half of their customer base for a year (or until whenever oil leak is fixed). BP isn't even an American company. Now stop using your school's computers to fool around on youtube and get back to your 5th grade class.
So, I assume you're suggesting that since they're British, every employee is British?
Thank you for backing my statement. BP executives have a ton of money and boycotting them wont hurt a bit, it will only hurt the low level American employee's over here.
Why BP? It could have easily been anyone doing this offshore drilling crap. It just happened to be BP. The government allows offshore drilling which can be capable of doing massive damage while they outlaw drilling within the country because people have the "not in my backyard" mentality.
@ZarrV2 BP does seem to have a bit of history blowing stuff up and killing people though. This is there first time on the ocean, but on land they are somewhat well known as the guys that make stuff go boom.
@Kearnspalmbay Actually, Goldman Sachs shorted the stock in BP, which is basically in everyday language a bet that the stock will go down. They did not exit thier positions. They borrowed stocks at a high price, sold them at a low price, then returned the stock back to the original owner at the low price aka covering thier position. But thats isnt important, what is important is that we wage war on them, its our duty.
@WDTripps yes, well, I only had 470 some odd words and I didn't want to describe the options market, but you're right. They exercised calls on the stock? Although I have heard it the other way too. Somehow, once again, Sachs predicted the future!
You are a genius man.. Those sons of a **** will probably try to take it and re-sale it for a profit. I really enjoyed this video and will do my best to spread this idea.
@eengstrom85 Hey man, thanks for those kind words. It shore would be good to see corp offices sloshed with boxes. I mean, they need em back don't they? After all it's the oil we're working for! Thanks for putting the word on my little efforts here
I'm In San Diego CA.... What can I do to help? I don't buy BP/Arco products... I feel so infuriated and very, very frustrated... I had a science teacher in grade school in the 1960s that warned that something like this was going to happen... I'm sorry that you were right Miss Hunter... I'm so sorry our generation did this to the Earth....
wow... people with common sense do exist!! I agree we should all just snail mail it back to them and Email pictures to them as well probly waste there time sorting throu all thoes emails! :)
Stan you are my freakin HERO! WE NEED MORE PEOPLE LIKE THIS TO TELL THE TRUTH. People, turn OFF CNN, Fox sNews, ABC/CBS/NBC! They are owned by the same crooks who brought you this BP catastrophe. WAKE THE HELL UP AMERICANS.
Despite the death threats, BP Chief Executive Tony Hayward says he's sleeping well these days. He looks it: fresh, almost relaxed in his makeshift corner office at BP's emergency response center in Houston
He insists the company has been "extraordinarily successful"
Leaning back in his chair, Hayward compares the operation to D-day. He quotes Winston Churchill: "When in hell, keep going."
AL QUAEDA [ my friends please ... please do not boycott ] .... we are extremely impressed with BP and US politicians and have a job opening for u guys [ we are the same !! ] .... we offer you all fringe benefits like health care , housing loans , dining expense accounts , and of course free bombs and stuff ... we support BP and US politicians ... we love u guys

Kearnspalmbay, tell us about tobacco companies and the NRA. Of course that's not war, that's just "good old boys" providing us with a good time.
Now explain which "good" oil company we should patronize.
Everything is so simple isnt it.
