@lonelykatana A Fireblade is a 900, but it is from the early 90s. 170mph on a 25 year old Blade is pretty good.
Hell the KZ1000 from the late seventies and early eighties would only pull about 145-150mph. My old CBX1000 6 cylinder would only do 155mph. modern 600cc bikes will wipe the floor with a 1000cc from just a few years ago. He hasn't got problems, it's just not the latest and greatest.
I love coming across cavs in their "suped" up 1000cc shitty front wheel drive hatch backs and there they are thinking they are god but when I pass them at mach3 I dont even have to leave 3rd gear and they are about a mile behind my ZX7R every time all the time. A 125cc sports bike will eat them!

i had this exact model and i can tell you with 16k on the clock, which is fairly low for a bike of that age, with fsh, it managed 152mph and it had the correct oil, right temps, carbs balanced, and it would not go another 1mph beyond that.
it was a great bike from 50 to 120 and handled really well, but it was lacking the 1000 characteristics

I got a old vfr 750cc bike and normal cars do not stand a chance. My bike made subura and evo's look like metro's. I beat a Aston martin DB9 V12 in acceleration so it would take a special car like a ferrari f40 or 911 GT2 to outrun most bikes.

it is a ninja, i have a 1992 kawasaki ninja zxr750....notice the bikes name...also you can clearly see the ninja zxr750 'trade mark' air intake values. and yea its toying with it lol the acceleration on the bike is very impressive

I've only got a zxr400 and it does 0-60 in 4.8 and top speed of 140, it will and does piss over nearly every road car out there, i think the zxr was playing a little.
Me and a mate took an m3 light to light, 2 up. A week later we took the tarmac at 150mph and spend 6 months in hospital, 35 opperations, and ten years on i;ll never walk the same again. The tarmac was a little scratched. I had no helmet though so lucky on that account
the ninja aint standard its a carbon fiber can and has S/S headers i had mine geared up and got it off the clock at 180! the speed has so many variables! some days it will ride better than others!
I think people take this too seriously, of coarse the saxo owner knows he's gonna get beat by a racing bike, no need to slag it off, most things will get beat by a bike
nah mate this is a wind up, ive got a vts and ive also got a kawasaki zx6r, the zxr 750would piss all over the saxo.The vts is 0-60 in 7.5 seconds with a top speed of 135mph, the zxr is 0-60 mph 3.4 seconds with a top speed of 143.5 mph, gave me a good laff tho :)

The ZXR 750 does 155 mph, and the newer ZX 7R does 160 mph. Just thought id let you know. Still quicker than a saxo! even a 400 cc is quicker than a Saxo.
i got an 88 ninja zx750r which is pretty much the same motor on a diff frame and i can only get 155 ish top end, idk about a fuel injected 750 but that bike there will top end at 155 unless he changed sprockets
