  • hey @outlandishfilms, are there any pause button on that camera??? i also have the same and were having a project that were making a movie and we should pass it on tuesday next week....i want to have some pauses on the video but im still finding the pause button...even my dad dont know where...pls help....tnx ^^

by tha way, cool movie!! i wish that im as expert as you in filming like that! xD

  • pretty good overall, but I'd say avoid hand-to-hand combat, unless you have stunt guys, or martial arts ninjas.. just looked a bit staged. Wish i had that camera gear though, saving up for a 600d:)

  • i dont understand this, whats the point of the package?!?! i mean if ur just gonna keep handing it off to people!?

  • Great Story line. did you use a attached mic?

  • Lens used??

  • @cvgef Canon 18-135mm f/3.5-5.6

  • Pretty sweet! Was this filmed in Needham, MA? It looks like the train station there.

  • @Ukiandre19 Nope! Filmed in a train station in philadelphia.

  • Also, the guy below my first comment, that's is hilarious...outlandishfilms, don't take any criticism from him. No offense honocamptheater but that wasn't really a good way to go about it. I think you guys did a great job and I was impressed with how well you were able to pull off this short with this DSLR. Nice work on avoiding that none fixed aperture (if you're using a kit lens) and rolling shutter. Try not crushing your blacks so much and use a tripod more but other than that great job :)

  • did you use the kit lens that comes with the cam.?

  • fantastic effort, pretty decent product, but all-in-all I'm un-impressed.

If you want my full criticism, respond to this message asking for it, and I'll personal message it to you (because there aren't enough available characters in comments)

  • In the chase scene at the beginning. There are too many total compositions. it's like watching the same shot at diffrent places.

You should add some close-ups for more viarity and smoother transitions.

  • I like ur vids send me a friend invite and I will sub u thx...peace : )

  • great job, I'm really impressed

  • @ItsMattHoff Thanks :)

  • I love this video...Great job... what did you use as your editing software?

  • @Sendupprayer I used final cut pro for this

  • Not gonna lie, I squealed a bit when I saw the DFTBA records sign. Nerdfighters!

  • Also, the action scenes shots don't really match, I mean one second you are a meter away and then you are like 20? Also, the music was really cheesy, to be honest. At 3:33, I really like the lighting you have, it seems very professional. Don't feel offended by my comments, take them as constructive criticism.

  • @Marco007Marco007 on the bright side I like the music

  • As a fellow filmmaker, I can't say I really like this video. It doesn't feel cinematic, it's too blunt, it's too cheesy too. The actor did a horrible job at "acting surprised", and it's too quick. You don't take time for silence, it's like everything happened in six minutes. Also, the flashbacks are unnecessary. I did like the look of the film, however.

  • @Marco007Marco007 I agree with Marco. I feel the actors did a very bad job. your color grading might be a bit too blue. I like the story at first but the ending seems way too fast.

  • What kind of memory card do you use for videos??

  • Very well put together, fight choreography could have been better haha but I was really pulled in to this. Very well scripted, and camera work was spectacular. Kudos!

  • great video mate, i was just wondering what you use to edit it, i noticed a mac in the film but just asking ha :), awesome film, great look to it.

  • nice short film....next time make the fight scene more aggressive, you guys didnt great but it looked like you didnt want to hit each other

  • what lens did you use for this?

  • @willtyoob 18-135mm f/3.5-5.6

  • I liked how much you could fit in a sort film!

  • Im mind-fucked...what the hell just happened?

  • AMAZING! I wish it was a full movie!!

  • It kinda reminds e of "the box" but still cool movie : )

  • really good jake! see you soon!

  • awesome. simply that.

  • amazing!<3.

  • this is really good, the writting is awsome but the fight scene still looks a little to played out and fake, there are no sounds to make then seem like their hitting each other, but overall, i luvs it

  • You are amazing. Seriously, I am super jealous of your skills.

  • Nice .. Remember it's the talent behind the camera that counts.. D.W.Griffith made enduring classics with just a hand cranked film camera.. and poor quality film stock available at the time.. lol

i also like all of the youtube/vidcon posters in your room!

  • PLEASE WATCH IN HD! YouTube compression made this video look slightly pixelated when watched in 360p or 480p. Watching in 720p will fix this.
