  • Dave "IDK how to say this, but I felt this was the only way I could come about it. I have stage 2 prostate cancer."

    Audience "hahahahaha"

  • Dave: "I've had sex with co workers." Audience: HAHAHAHAHA Dave: Hey I'm serious Audience: HAHAHAHAHA Me: What the f.. why are you laughing you idiots. Audience: HAHAHAHAHA Me and Dave: Shut Up! Audience: HAHAHAHAHA Me and Dave: OK we're leaving now Audience: HAHAHAHAHA (Lights shut off, crew leaves too) Audience: HAHAHAHAHA (Dave comes into studio next morning) Audience: HAHAHAHAHA
  • why are the audience laughing at the end when its obvious hes being serious! okay at the begining you might take it as a bit of a joke but at the end hes not even laughing or making a joke out of it anymore!

  • The audience is horrible. but i really respect him for admitting this in public.

  • I think at 0:59, it was clear that he wasn't joking. Everyone with at least some social intelligence should've been able to recognize that.

  • stupid ass audience

  • disgusting audience.

  • LOL i love how the audience is like "HHAHAHAHAHHA YEAH HE HAVE HAD SEX WITH OTHER WOMEN THAn HIS WIFE HAHAHAHAH SOOO FUNNY!!! :D" Omg -.-

  • why the fuck did they clap after he admitted that...that was when they should have realised that he wasnt being funny

  • I can't help thinking that things would have gone more smoothly if Letterman had begun by saying something like, "You know, ladies and gentlemen, night after night I sit up here, trying to make you laugh, and sometimes I actually succeed, but right now I have something totally serious that I think you need to know about..."

  • What is just me or did anyone else hear the man speaking somewhere in the first 2 minutes?

  • I don't give a shit if he screwed some women..

    A man got to live.

  • Why does this stupid audience keep laughing after every 5 words...bunch of idiots.

  • hahahahaha so david tried to buy himself out of this. what a pussy. fucking moron. good try though. fucking bitch. just because he is rich he fucks them.

  • @padla4 what in the fuck are you talking about? he went to special investigations and they issued a fake cheque for 2million, because until he takes and tries to cash the cheque, the crime is a misdemeanor. As soon as he takes the money, it's a felony. This is standard stuff .

  • @Dannomack if you listen to his story its not exactly what he tells. but ok.

  • I know he's a "cheater" and all that, but there was something in this that made me think he was a real man about it.

  • Comment removed

  • I don't think that this is something you make fun of.

  • wow he handled that realy well

  • People let us keep in mind he said a GUY was trying to backmail him. Not the females he was screwing. OMG these were grown ass women who decided they were gonna fuck David Letterman who gives a shit? Noone but people with no lives. and for you judgemental pricks.... Like my daddy used to say dont watch the neighbors yard focus on your own. And to you bible thumpers shut your pieholes... you waste your time thumping the jesus book in my face I'm an athiest. :)

  • That's the way to do it, come clean before they can drag you threw the mud. Not surprising that he had affairs with staff, big deal, who cares. As long as he wasn't coercing them into the situations, that they were mutually consented to, it's now one's business but theirs.

  • I enjoy watching Dave's show, but the audience is just insufferably stupid in the way they applaud everything for an unnecessarily long period of time - including this instance where he's trying to explain a rather serious manner. Granted, he attempted to tone it down a little with some humour but the audience just didn't seem to understand the gravity of it.

If they edited out all the damn applause you'd end up with a show of half the length.

  • What shocks me is that people still gasp at grown ass adults having sex why is it there has to always be a victim? Guess what we all do it. Where is the loss of morality Dave didnt get married till 2009 sooo we can assume he was just a typical guy with no strings attached and could a did what he wanted to do. and jjean dont piss on my leg and tell me its raining with the whole lack of morality crap if you opened your mouth I'll bet you have a couple of bones pop out your piehole.

  • Innocent stuff.

  • C'mon, you know Dave's got a big enough fan base to have hotties, milf's, and sugerbabies after him. Old man or not, he's got a tv show, charisma, and money. All us dudes should be so lucky!

  • awesome .. he banged some hot chicks...

  • It's not about the sex... it's about whether the women felt like they had to have sex with him in order to keep and/or advance in their jobs. That's sexual harassment.

  • it absolutely boggles my mind at how humanity can find someway to completely ignore our absolute lack of morality or righteousness. I understand that he's honest about the situation but can he be honest and can all of humanity be honest about our SIN NATURE and the NEED 4 A SAVIOR. This happens time n time again where a wife n kids seem just not to be enought of a reason to cure our selfish desires but hey i guess we're all humans rite(sarcasism), I'm so sick of that. PLS EXPLAIN THIS 2 ME

  • Can you explain to me your need to look to a God that doesn't exist for your life to be meaningful?

Humanity needs no God or gods. Humanity needs humanity to continue on and prosper. Looking toward ancient ways of explaining that which we do not understand will never help us move forward.

The most religious people on this Earth are also the ones who are the most weak, do not reward themselves for their own successes, and blame their failures on a non-existant evil.

  • That's not to say that religion is evil by any stretch. I just believe that the religious need to stop preaching to those of us who are not, and they should also look inside themselves for the reason they are successful rather than giving glory to a fictional character.

  • you know they were hot

  • Very well done. I must also admit that his handling of this shows great character and I'm happy he was able to interject some humor as this certainly was a difficult topic to broadcast nationally. 1st class and thanks for such honesty! Now if only all members of congress could act like this!

  • Poor Dave!..lol but its hilarious how the people dont take him serious and clap and laugh when he admitted to havin sex with co-workers!

  • audiences are primed to see a comedy show.

in this day and age, it is just a trivial matter. everyone knows that sexual relations happen between co-workers. everyone also knows that it takes two to tango. if a male boss asks a female to blow him in exchange for a promotion, a woman is free to walk out of the office and report him to the authorities.

the bottom line is, until all the details are out, you cannot assume the sex was about career advancement.

  • I hope Regina Lasko is as sympathetic as many of these posters blithely seem to be.

  • We all do things wrong. I would probably make the same mistake if some hot chicks wanted to have sex with me. Oh well sh*t happens. It's so hard to resist sometimes!

  • Interesting.

  • David Letterman is King!

  • Thanks Dave. for your honesty!

  • This was a brilliant speech .Every word so carefully said .Mixing humor with the realism of the subject .Wow David Letterman is a class act .P.S. Hey will still got the kaz bass??

  • It's a mistake he had made, yes, but at least he's honest and tell the story in a very professional way.

  • That's incredible. I just gained a huge amount of respect for David. It takes a REAL man to come out and say that. And it's truly astonishing that he turned it into both a serious and funny story while keeping the seriousness of it fully real.

Just wow. I hope this thing doesn't hurt him too much, because that was just the perfect way to handle the situation in his position.

  • A perfect example of how pathetic Dave's show is these days. His audience blindly follows him with everything that he says thinking that no matter what comes out of his mouth, it's funny and deserves applause. You can just see Dave thinking the same thought too. Laughing and applause is not the normal reaction to a unfunny speech about peoples lives being altered for the worse.

  • I was wondering if I was the only person who caught that. Dave looked a little shocked that people where laughing

  • i still love you dave.you did the right thing

  • Very class act, Dave! None of that Clintonesque bullshit about not having sex. He handled an uncomfortable situation with class & I'm glad they busted the would be extortionist. To modify the words of Jim Croce, "You don't mess around with Dave!"

  • I respect him for coming clean with this whole thing, and it sucks he got blackmailed.

I can't believe the audience wouldn't stop laughing.

  • A true Comedic legend.. He can make light out of anything and he really turned the guilt around on the losers who need to get a fucking life and quit looking for dirt on people that are above themselves. Somehow they think it justifies their own flaws. Dave is the a living legend

  • wow that was brave! kudos to him!

  • i love how so many people here and prolly in the audience are like "that was the right thing to do, classy, blah blah you've prolly done some bad things in your life too" buddy the guy prolly offered them raises in exchange cause seriously who wants to bang david letterman lol, guy is a greasy old man and people are cheering

  • 1) Why are the people laughing?

    2) He has defined it as "creepy"

    3) Letterman has bagged on every moral person he can now we know why, guilt.

  • The crowd was making me angry how they laughed and cheered, I could tell Letterman was agitated by it.

  • GREAT GUY! LOVE HIM.

So what if he had sex with some of the staff? They're not complaining.

He s a great guy for protecting all those nice sexy women.

    Good job Dave.

  • What a class act. For everyone who posts judgmental comments about him I say take a long hard look at your own life. Everyone has done things that they aren't too proud of doing. Just because you're a celebrity you have the additional burden of millions of people knowing about it.

Thank you Dave for having the courage to prosecute.

  • well i'll be darned dave had sex lmao

  • Most guys cheat, he just got caught. I still love ya Dave

  • Freakin' idiots won't stop laughing.

  • Dave is THE MAN.

That bum is a loser and doesn't know who he's messing with.

  • well i don't agree with getting blackmailed but just because you decide to be upfront about your extramarital affair doesn't make it right. he also didn't bother apologizing to his family who is the one who should be embarrassed in this whole situation. what a disgusting man and yes how embarrassing for the women that slept with him.

  • He was married only a few months. His sexual relationships were all done before he married. Sure, it was cheating on his long-time girlfriend all this time, and that is indeed wrong, but he wasn't officially married.

I'm not a Letterman fan, but he handled this with class, dignity, and respect for everyone involved. If anything, this "scandel" will only boost his popularity and ratings, especially because of how he handled it.

  • I give him alot of respect for saying this publicly because it takes alot of guts.. and its better for it to be like this than on TMZ.

But, there is no way he should be the victim in this situation.

  • I have never been a huge fan but I think that what he did by coming clean over this shows a great amount of integrity. I don't condone his actions but I do think that people make mistakes, we're only human, some of us hide them and some, like Mr. Letterman, have the guts to do the right thing.

  • Well, he's got my respect for publicly announcing it and owning up to his mistakes. I think he handled the entire situation very well.

  • Handled well...

    Brilliantly in fact.

    He'll survive.

  • Another extramarital affair. I have to admit I have lost count.

PS: He handled it smoothly, even the audience did not take it seriously. Well, he is a comedian.

  • He made great efforts to thank people and protect the women, but what about his wife and kid? At the very least apologize to them. No class.

  • I don't like David Letterman. But- he handled this very well. No one should get blackmailed like that.

  • Liberal on Liberal crime....Part 2: Liberals And Their Values

  • I've been a big fan of Dave's for the last 20 years, and I feel kind of ambivalent about this. It looks like Dave made some mistakes, and I feel a little disappointed that he did that. But I think he did the right thing by coming forward and trying to defend himself. However, I fear the right wing backlash he will most certainly encounter. I had a personal friend who cheated on his wife and it caused a huge scandal in our circle of friends, and unfortunately people cheat and it just sucks.

  • this proves that people don't actually think what most comedians say are funny. They just laugh cause they feel they should.

  • Agree

  • never heard a time line....so stuff could have happened well before his marriage and really, who's business is it anyways?

  • He apologized to the women and his friends. What about your wife, Dave? What about your wife???!!! She doesn't get an apology?

Self serving, Dave. And no class!!!

  • Letterman has balls; a defacto Ph.D. in broadcast.

I am behind him and still watch the show.

  • Who cares? Not me and i can prove it.

  • The story was about Dave being extorted for $2 million. I don't think he REALLY slept with anyone (I sensed sarcasm) ... his story wasn't about him being adulterous- it was about how he was being blackmailed... how someone invaded his space, entered his car and could have been lurking anywhere. If the allegations were true, do you really think he would have gone to the police and gone so far as to have a false check printed and go on national TV to tell his naughty deeds? I would have laughed.

  • Okay, David had sex. OMG! Imagine that. He had sex.

    Really, what's the big deal?

  • Peole are stupid. We all have to learn.

  • He is married.

But of course that issue is between him and his wife and children. It is not a legal issue. Extortion on th eother hand is.

  • Extortion is the only issue. But, sex between adults isn't.

And, quite possibly, he had the affair/affairs when him and his girlfriend were on the outs.

I still like Lettermen, and he DID handle this very well.

  • He's married, idiot. I'm sure his wife isn't happy.

So yes, it kind of is a big deal for him and his family, like his wife and children.

  • I think Dave handled this situation masterfully, he used humor to frame his experience in a way people could identify and easily sympathize with.

My sources say the blackmailer was Robert Halderman, a director on "48 hours".

He probably used his investigative journalism skills and inside position at CBS to accumulate tons of moderately scandalous material. Dave's been dating that Lasko lady on and off forever. Any sexual details with staffers are bound to be slightly embarassing.

  • Liberal on Liberal crime.....gotta love it

  • Of course the religious sheep come out to feed.

  • This is why I like Conan better. No buzzkills on his show.. Cept Andy Richter.

  • NO ONE would thin they could blackmail Letterman with a consensual relationship with one of his staffers that happened years ago. Everyone already knew this happened.

The blackmail tidbits MUST be something really gross for someone at CBS to think they could actually pull it off.

group bi-sex? does Dave have a huge collection of dildos? does he cross dress? like 'em a bit young? pays for prostitutes?

LOL it's something nasty or crooked to be sure

  • Has the identity of the dude who was blackmailing him made public?

  • Found it on TMZ.

  • isnt he married? cause hes not wearing a ring...

  • Letterman handled this all VERY well. Keep us laughing, Dave! Sure, it was a very serious matter, but he dealt with it swiftly and legally. I bet his wife was helpful and supportive, too. Afterall, it's between the two of them. Who knows what kind of agreements or understanding they have? That guy who tried to blackmail him thought he knew and he deserves EVERYTHING he gets. F'er!! YOU ARE AWESOME DAVE!!! Class A entertainer. Thank you!!!!

  • Dave is occasionally humorous in this clip AND the audience's laughter is occasionally completely off the mark.

But people, more importantly - if these affairs took place while he was in a relationship with his current wife, that should be included in the admission. In fact, it's THE essential part of the admission.

If these affairs did NOT take place while he was in a relationship with his current wife, there is no story! And it couldn't be a subject for extortion.

  • well it's not clear if this happened after he was married or not. cheating is definitely wrong but kudos to him for standing up, admitting guilt and putting the sleazy blackmailer out there.

  • the only reason he announced it on TV was because the Manhattan D.A. arrested the blackmailer in a setup sting, and it was going to be made public. This was simply damage control to avoid a fecal storm from the media. Not saying I wouldn't have done the same thing.Actually I would have never had an affair with a Co-worker(s) in the first place. We have all been put in that position at least once. The hard thing is to make the right choice.

  • the audience sound stupid...i mean c'mon? they didnt get it after how many minutes of him talking bout it? its like they werent even listening, they were just waiting for a silence to clap or laugh to....o_0

  • Letterman's audience has a knack for never knowing when to shut the fuck up.

  • @badtown88 I know what you mean, haha. I think everyone was just laughing at things because they didn't know he was being serious because he never really is.

  • religious people, keep your own judgmental comments to yourselves. You wouldnt do it, and thats fine. Enjoy your lives! Religion and comedy simply dont mix. You most likely dont get the show anyway. Just one crime committed - blackmail. I'm glad Dave nailed the criminal scum in such a creative way. People laugh, because 1 its a comedy show, 2 it was told with lots of humour, and 3 cos the whole thing is funny. A big up to Dave!

  • Remember that David and his apologists judged and condemned Bristol Palin for being a unwed teenage mother.

Now they are telling us to not be judgmental.

  • No they didn't. He brought up a point that a conservative politician who promotes abstinence only education, legislation that would affect all of our children, has a pregnant unwed teenage daughter.

He is a comedian, that is what he does. Palin is held to a higher standard as someone running for one of the highest offices in the country and in public service.

Palin paraded her kids in the public eye, Letterman has no choice in the matter as a celebrity, this info would come out eventually

  • No one judged or condemned Bristol Palin, they judged her mother!

  • we all still love you dave!!! no worries

  • Comment removed

  • hmmm I dont understand why u are so mad at ppl commenting all we are saying is that it was wrong, he got caught n now has no choice but to tell everyone...

  • Ya i agree with Vertigo.

  • It's funny how everyone in the audience is laughing for such serious stuff

  • stop jumping to conclusions people!

  • He doesn't reveal when the affairs took place, Dave recently married his long time g/f and they have a child several years back. So perhaps he had these affairs 10-20 years ago. I love how the religious nuts on here get all "holier-than-thou" and judgmental but they're the first ones to preach forgiveness when they're at fault. Such hypocrites.

  • why do they laugh at every word he says? he's admitting to being blackmailed and havign sexual relations with staff members. it's serious to him. it isn't even funny. and they're laughing

  • He did make several remarks to make the audience laugh. I think it's the spoon full of sugar to help the medicine go down. Imagine being in the audience and not having a clue that this is a skit or very real. You're there to see a comedy show after all, so I wouldn't be so judgmental of the crowd laughing.

  • Its basically impossible to have a serious moment on these shows without any laughing or clapping. Great example is when Jerry Seinfeld was a guest and Michael Richards gave a public apology for what happened years ago.

  • Good point. We all came to this site knowing what to expect and the severity of the matter. The audience had no idea that this was something serious.

  • No the audiance didnt know if it was real or not but now after he admits it they continue to laugh n clap..c'mon now

  • All im saying is this...if they are laughing at this I wonder what Jesus is thinking about...cuz cheating is something serious exp. when u have wife & kids but no one knew about until the guy put him on blast so wat do that tell the viewers..its okay to do it as long as u dont get caught....also I dont agree wit how he keep tryna make it a joke cuz he clearly didnt want to get caught..

  • Seems like you don't understand the power and genius that is Letterman.

Sure, the setting changes the mood, but this man can play to the screen like no other.

  • Couldn't have happened to a better guy!!!!

  • " hey honey the recording is going just taking so long Im gonna be home late again dont wait for dinner" *clunk"

"alright girls now I want you to lie down on each other and hold this banana, and scream cowboy Dave"

  • Comment removed

  • Wait...women don't mind sleeping with an old rich man? *SHOCKING*

  • Nobody said it was RECENT. In fact one can assume that these events took place a LONG time ago.

  • The very question is, what's wrong with it? I mean, Dave is a showman, he hasn't been elected by millions of americans, and if there is a person whom he has been unfathful to, well this is his wife, but anyway, these are his own business, who cares? If we are still trying to give a moral judgment to Dave's behaviour it means that we have forgotten the real crime in the whole story, the blackmail. GO ON DAVE!

  • I know ppl say that its not a race but clearly if this was a blk show then he wuda been canceled...

  • If it was a BLACK show? What does that mean?

  • what? why would he have been cancelled for having an affair if he was black? the only persons who's business this is is his and his wifes. white or black, it's nothing to do with you.

  • yes Dave!! YES!!

  • The creepy part of this is why the audience is laughing about his affairs. Lettermen is obviously NOT laughing.

  • They obviously didnt know it was serious...especially the way he told the whole insidious deal!

  • Having sex with a subordinate is only a sleezebag move if its done out of coercion and the threat of job action is used. In the case of famous actors its very difficult and usually unnecessary to prove this since 99.99% of subordinates are willing to sleep with the famous actor/anchor/talkshow host. Keep your prude/warped/bigfat nose out of Dave's personal business.

  • AMEN. Well said.

  • we love you dave!

  • yee we love adulterers and sexual deviants ?

  • I come to think of if, perhaps he isn't obliged to specify it in time because it wasn't our business in the first place. So perhaps he was justified in not really giving a worthy admission.

  • he and michelle were together for 23 years before they got married 7 months ago. plus he is the boss and apparently had sex with several of the young cbs workers. any way you look at it the man is a douchebag and this is coming from a (now former) letterman fan. this is very disappointing.

  • its just hilarious how he creates some comic value out of this!!

  • among other things, it's a testament to Dave's ability as a public speaker, his sense of timing, vocal inflection and comedic personality. He's not a well loved guy for nothing. Dave did nothing wrong. But the waste of DNA that perpetrated the crime won't be able to hold his head up in a society he betrayed with dishonorable criminal behavior. In a civilized society, people enjoy sex. But not even among barbarians does a blackmailer's behavior, mean-spiritedness and intent have honor. Hrilu.

  • An "Affair"? He wasn't married until recently. If he was single when this went on, who cares! I know that Regina Laskow has been his longtime girlfriend, so the timeline is fuzzy. I'll bet he wasn't boinking these women recently. And if he was, I hope he has a good pre-nup, because $2 mill is a drop in the bucket for him.

  • when did adultery become so hilarious? the audience members are morons. the morals in this country have gone to shit

  • yo, just to be clear - this happened after he got married, right? I mean, he never says so explicitly

  • Just to be clear -this happened after he had been born. No need to tell it excplicitly

  • what I meant by "this" was not the extortion thing - but having had sex with women from the staff.

  • That's what I was wondering. He never said it was while he was married.

  • Exactly! But surely, that's the only thing that could make it an extortion issue, right? So he's being a bit evasive by only saying "I've had sex with women who work for me on the show" and not specifying it in time.

  • whenever you are in a position of power over someone and have sex with them, it's a sleezebag move. and he did it several times with different women, once is a mistake, but several times is being a sleezeball.

  • THERE U GO

  • If David Letterman was a politician I'd just think he was another shmuck that belongs in hell. However, David Letterman has kept his name and family out of the tabloids and has come forward with it BEFORE it hit the tabloids AND is just all around a funny man. If the audience was silent this would have been a completely different spin on the situation.

  • You prove my point.

He has a wife who he has been unfaithful to. Now that he is honest and tell people in a "fun way", he is forgiven? Then do you mean that he has kept his family out of it? He tells it this way to avoid complications when it comes out another way ...

  • AGREE WIT U!!

  • He is not the first one and he won't be the last one... just go on with your lives...

  • finally a decent version.

  • that is so sad......old whorebag

  • lololol

  • This is USA in a nutshell. Double standards at a high level. Why is the crowd applauding? Next time its someone else who admit an affair and then the crowd will scream "Buuuuu!"... Start thinking as an individual....

Guess this post will be removed pretty soon....

  • THe way Dave is approaching this issue is to make you laugh about it but people like you dont get that. He did a very great job with this issue, but then again who cares abotu his sexlife, I know! People who dont have one themselfs.

  • So you mean if Obama had an affair and layed it out the way David did, people would give him applauds? Nahh, did'nt think so...

Btw, free helth care is working pretty good in Sweden, try it America...

  • Are you stupid? Since when was Obama a Comedian? And since when were Letterman a President? And since when can you connect those two at all? And cant you tell that Letterman is trying to use humor in this? Some people are amazing. Letterman even smiles to make people understand.

  • Im sorry if my english is bad but my point is that why does it matther what you do for a living when it comes to cheating? Bill Clinton was unfaithfull and everyone hated him? David is unfaithfull and he get applauds?

  • Right I dont understand how the ppl can clap to this...see if u noticed the ppl who have committed Adultery-Steve Mcnair, n so on have ended up dead..Clinton life was messed up..how can they clap this is a MESS..but yet ppl hate n wana kill Chris Brown cuz wat he did..man this is still a sin in the eye of Jesus...THIS IS SAD..I still wana know how does these lame ppl stay on Tv for YRS...

  • adultry and intimate partner violence should not be treated in the same light. intimate partner violence is abuse; adultry is hurtful, yes, but completely different. Chris Brown hasn't seen nearly enough backlash for what he did.

america has always been overly concerned with the sex lives of our leaders & famous figures. staying faithful to your spouse is personal, and none of our business; Clinton's adultry issues were tangled into our country's religious background.

  • lol you said the same thing I said lol I agree wit u..ppl just fans of david instead of seeing it being flat out wrong..cuz either way its fornication..

  • Well, you have to think for a moment, Bill Clinton was the president. A person thats representing a whole country. Dave represents nothing else then himself. But then again we dont know exactly what he did with those women Dave, he could of have been very mean but hes not dumn enough to say that.

  • Clinton full out lied about it and Dave was honest and humorous while admitting a wrongdoing

  • so what? He's a famous guy who probably has a bunch of hot women working with him

I think he was saddened by the fact the audience thought it was all a joke, dumbasses kept clapping and laughing like it was part of a comedy routine. You can tell he was VERY uncomfortable about telling the story. I could tell right in the beginning when he kept saying 'um um um' over and over, that he was getting nervous

If he was a woman, they'd label him a whore or slut. And he'd probably lose his job over it

  • well - audience is just stupid...

  • hahaha, Letterman fucked Howard Stern's wife.

  • Comment removed

  • 'the creepy things i have done' he keeps referring it as he tells his story, complete with a laugh track at the funny parts.

he's no different than bill clinton or john edwards etc who were mocked and laughed at by him for the longest time.

    pretty sick, really.

  • Why is it sick that the audience would laugh? What are they supposed to do, sit there in hushed silence because he fucked staff members? I mean it's a pretty hilarious situation even if just for how uncomfortable it is. He chose to announce it to America on his comedy TV show, they laughed, tough shit.

  • a pretty pathetic place to be for a long standing tv funny guy in his 60's.

    it was disappointing.

  • The audience has no idea where he's going with it, plus he's interjecting humor into the whole thing, so it's not really a surprise.

  • Poor man. He has been caught "with his pants down" and admits to the whole world what he has done - and the f**king audience is just clapping and laughing! It made me sick. What Dave did was bad enough, but he didn´t deserve all those morons treating it simply as entertainment.

  • Ehm what. You dont get it do you? Daves approach to the whole thing is to make you laugh about it.

  • Im completely aware of his funny approach to the situation, but it seems clear to me that Letterman felt uncomfortable telling the story. And that the audience didn´t see it and had a total lack of understanding of the situation..It really amazes me. This is almost a pure study in the mechanism of social-psychology. Can you see my point or have I got the whole thing wrong?:)

  • I KNEW Letterman was a democrat. Consentual, heterosexual sex among adults.....
