I remember when I first played this at age 8, I needed my dads help. It was Sly Cooper 3 and he beat the WHOLE game for me. It took him 50 time to beat the first bad guy. When I played, it took only 5 tries!

the story in sly 1 seems kinda basic, i think they improved all aspects in sly 2. I would give them this order: Sly 2>Sly 3>Sly 1

Sly 3: Honor Among Thieves- This is the game in the sly series that i dont know how to describe so i shall just say it. IT HAS WIDER areas than sly :) but that is again just one layer of wide land and no true depth. The combat sytem is still 90% the same as sly 2 with the player just being able to buy more upgrades and abilities. The missions in this one seemed the same with more mini games, characters, and new mechanics D:D overall all the sly games are the same thing.

Sly 2: Band of Thieves: (cont) I see what HappyLumberJack is saying about how all you did was collect keys to get yourself to the final boss (like sly 1) with a few mini games. Face it he is 75% right. the other 25% is destroying stuff/ stealing things besides keys. Basically this is an extended edition of sly 1 with a different story ps I do like the boss battles alot better than sly 1's

in my opinion each sly game revolutionized the series and when you think about it each game only gets better

Sly Cooper And The Thievious Racoonus: introduced the series, concepts, and type of platforming for the series (stealthy combat)

Sly 2: Band of Thieves: PROBABLY MY FAVORITE OF THE SLY GAMES since it introduces the open world stealthy combat system and thief net buying system.

In sly 4, basically sly and the gang return. But for one reason, to make sure the cooper clan itself doesnt get extinct. One day bentley notices that the Thievius Racoonus pages are disappearing in his hands and stuffs. Just go to IGN and look for it. TRUST ME, IT ISNT A WASTE OF TIME.

What would make Sly 4 the best sly to me? More straight platforming levels with just Sly and cut the mini games. Sly's platforming machanics are great and I think they can fill an entire game with them if they are creative enough. they have to keep the fantastic villains though. They were well thought out for the most part

Sly 4 might go for the story after part 3 as bently said "im building a time machine to find out" so maybe it will be a mixture of them having to go through different areas of time to find out how the klaww gang got the clock work partss or find out more about sly's family it's a mystery i cant wait to see
