2nd = something that Toney's corner obviously was missing, Toney was not leaning or rolling to the left enough to the outside of Peter's right hand, he was rolling to the right, right into target range for Peter's right hand.I mean look at Peter,he is using a lot of illegal actions for long periods of time,& he hits Toney in the back of the head many times, Toney doesn't complain.from 6:37 - 7:02 he holds Toney back illegally...this stuff goes on through the whole fight, u people that ignorant?

Toney beat Peter worse in the 1st fight than most of you blind haters say Peter beat Toney in this fight. Peter is really ignorant for thinking he won that fight, even after I'm sure watching it...wow. 1st = (Toney), Peter landed some good shots,that big shot from the top view, u can see not directly on the back, but is on the rear of the head(illegal) but Toney made him miss a bunch of tight hard shots and landed his own, hit at least 5 stiff counter right hands and LANDED more jabs 17 - 14.

Yes I'm watching this again,I have to watch over & over so I know what I'm talking about...Toney won the first fight, thats for sure. Peter wasn't schooled enough to fight the klitschos before and still is not twice after, He has been knocked down 6 times and knocked out 3 times since taking all these shots from Toney, Peter had to resort to slap punches in this fight jus to hit Toney, 90 % Toneys connected punches are very hard. Very close fight, ether a draw or Toney by 1 or 2 points

1st round = These announcers are talking some dumbness, those punches by Peters were hard tight shots, Toney just made him miss. wheres the credit? what a great opening round, Peters sends Toney back with a couple good punches and Toney recovers makes him miss a bunch of great tight hard punches by Peter and countered with a bunch of legit shots of his own.= even round. 2nd round = that knock down was a push jab, Toney fell over, Peter is illegally holding Toney out with jab hand, terrible...

@cangoods100 agreed, one thing I've said throughout blogs and youtube where people that don't know a damn thing or are jus that disrespectful to discredit Toney is that, Toney has come along way in weight, and it takes along time for a body to acclaimate to so much weight, especially training & fighting at that weight, Toney showed in his last fight jus how much his body has acclamated, he weighed in at 257 vs Reed and moved better than @ 237 vs Peters.

@cangoods100 that is simply his body acclamating, he has been heavy in the past, but took the weight off, vs Hassim Rahman & the 2 Peter fights were truly his first fights where he was truly training at heavier weights and staying heavy consistantly, you can even go too Ruiz and quinn from 2005 - 2007, He was a little top heavy and his body was in the process of acclamaiting, in recent years, he other than one occasion has been training and fighting heavier while looking mibile.

Peter was so sharp in this fight. I've never seen him throw such crisp punches, and seem to have such good reflexes The problem Peter had was that this style was totally ineffective against The Klitschko brothers. He couldn't land a jab against Vitali in 2008, and had to go back to all out attack against Wladimir in 2010. If Peter fought this way against the likes of Adamek/Chagaev/Povetkin he would make some great fights. He hurt Toney in this first round, and James was lucky the ref steppedin

James Toney should have expected nothing less. He NEVER should have boxed at heavyweight. He was inevitably going to lose to a much less skilled big man at some point. Toney really didn't do much of anything in this fight, and I think he was much more wary of Peter than he was the first time around.

@bpatrice49 I don't think he was rocked all that much if any, that one punch did hit him on the left side of the jaw. but he stayed in the pocket and missed stepped with his fott work but he stayed in the pocket untill the next punch where he got hit in the back of the head and all of the rest of the punches were illegal. and Toney came right back no worse for the wear. Toney sometimes did that as he wasn't acclaimated to fighting so heavy, becoming off balance.missing a step in his fottwork.

@bpatrice49 Toney made Peters Miss, hit him with solid counter punches and offensive shots for that matter and talked to the crowd. if Toney does those things, that's a Toney fight. That was Peters best moment of the fight, and Toney got a lil off balance and missed a step with his footwork in the first round when he barely warm.Jus warmin up really. it was a decent short right hand but it wasn't putting Toney down, no chance. he tripped a bit and got hit in the back of the head 4 times.

Fact: Sam Peter can beat anybody in the heavyweight division not named Klitschko. Adamek immediately took a fight with the Klitschkos when the IBF was gonna force him to fight Peter. Toney could never hurt Peter and Peter dominated him.

Povetkin/Adamek/Haye all wanted noting to do with him, So he ended up having to fight Robert Helenius on a lesser card and turn up so out of shape it was disgraceful. A motivated, welltraining Sam Peter is always a very very tough fight for anyone not named Klitschko.

1st Round,, I'd say was an even round 10/10 , I mean Peters hit maybe 5 decent shots and missed about a whole lot more, and Toney was very good defensively with a few sharp blows as well. 2nd roundThat knockdown was a push, more Peters pushing Toney and holding him with his left hand, clubbing him in the back of the head!, I see the 2nd round even, if that push was a knockdown then give it to Peters. 3rd, right hand finding a home for Toney, and yes Peter's did take a step back on that 1st rite
