Fact is, Atreyu is never coming back, and with what they've been putting out for the last few albums, thats a good thing. Now we get to enjoy the old Atreyu. Maybe not as good, but its better than nothing.
@Bludhoundz8 Unfortunately, I don't really like Hell or Highwater, or this that much. They're okay, but nothing special to me, personally. I like the unique blend that Atreyu gave. It was heavy, but at the same time... not heavy. Lead Sails and Paper Anchors is one of my favorite albums of all time.

And the fact is, they didn't even need 2 singers. Brandon ended up singing more than half the time as time went on. Instrumentally they did get better, but the vocals haven't, and thats ultimately what ruined them.
Brandon's singing/Alex's screaming was what made atreyu good.
Lip gloss and black would not be good if brandon didn't sing that emotional chorus that makes you want to tear up, and most people wouldn't remember it if alex didn't scream Live, love burn die. Hell or High water and I am war are just stripped versions of what atreyu used to be..I was even more excited about Lead sails paper anchor and congregation of the damned more than this album. Change is imminent but its just too much..
It shows how Alex was restricted with Brandon doing all that gay Hell or Highwater shit. This is the crazy shit I've been waiting for since The Curse.

it's like being 15 again lol! music is mediocre, and the breakdowns kill the fast paced vibe of the song, but its nice to hear alex again. He was a big influence for my generation (i'm 19), and helped bring me into metal.

It's like I'm 14 years old all over again! This was a nice listen, the music is simple as crayon drawing but it serves it's purpose for being short, fast, and heavy.
and HOLY SHIT i didnt know brandan from bleeding through was on guitar .. pretty sick takes me back to those 18 visions days where he was on guitar shredding but damn i like this sound they have something pretty fucking cool here i must say i dig it and i want the cd now !!!!
So Brandon took the Hard/Alternative Rock elements to Hell or Highwater and Alex too the Hardcore elements....now we know how that music was figured out lol
@Keeperofthefree What a fuckin' whore. Alex actually takes steroids ? Two well-known singers from 2 differents bands don't make a song better. The harmony of Alex & Brandon voices was better, Their voice was a perfect contrast to push the intensity to a higher point. If Brandon wasn't interesting in Atreyu it's quite normal that Alex can't or won't force him.
@TheKrytopsy . I wouldn't be surprised if Brandon wanted to make more money with his solo project than share the money with the most talented band IMO as Atreyu. Bleeding Throught... I really liked you but you really had bad times the last few years but don't overtake the Alex project. Don't feel offended, don't be too emotionnal, keep this interesting project go on and I have hope that could be a good project like the other high rated comment say.
