September 2007? I think I've seen this movie earlier. Anyways I think 'Flushed away' despite these plasticine looks is made in some kind of CAD or other 3D model/render software. These guys that make plasticine animations couldn't do so much characters and animations that way I think. I've noticed one repetetive thing - someone breaks something on a barrel. I liked the fight between Rita and Roddy, crayon arrow xD

And yeah, of course the Aardman studios use digital media and not only plasticine ^_^ As you said, it would be too difficult to do all the film only with traditional ways :D
