Hello, Thank you for providing such an opportunity with this contest. My contest idea is: An experimental mobile real estate websites/system that you can search real estates by a risk score which is calculated through a formula consisting of state security criminal records statistics, earthquake/hurricane statistics, traffic accidents statistics etc. You can access project details from its repo: github.com/mycloudy/FindASafeHome
Here is my submission for the contest: It's a platform to analyse call graphs extracted from large code-bases. Call graph analysis is very useful in analysing how modules in your code interact with each other and helps newbies quickly get the big picture. It can be used for simple reachability analysis, or a visual aid in debugging. I analysed the network subsystem of Linux Kernel and it has helped me understand networking internals. More details: igsubmission.heroku.com
From Bennett: "My idea is to build a tool to visualize and explore the information locked away in email archives. I plan to analyze ten years of email messages from multiple accounts I maintain an build a graph database of people, topics, attachments, etc."
From Jon: "I'm interested in leveraging social networks for real-world problem solving. The demo I'm hoping to complete will encourage people to commute in as green a way as possible through the use of social media and mapping."
From Vinodh: "I am planning to build a telecom network in the graph database and analyze their interactions for 3 full months. Prediction of graph structure is my wish."
Hi all - We've received a lot of entries for the contest, and are starting to post all the proposals and ideas below now. Stay tuned for more! The contest code/example submissions are due by next Friday. Hurry up! You still have a chance to win.
We look forward to seeing your video replies (preferred) or a written comments here, which provide a high-level, public description of your contest entry, tells us something about you, conveys the value and benefit of your application to the world and humanity, and includes any other details that might persuade the judges to choose your entry!
