There are a lot of varieties of Tunas their real name in spanish, each diferent comes from diferent nopal plants. there are red,white,purple,lila,orange,p­ink, yellow etc. and each color has their own flavor very similar, but diferent.

those doen't need a lot of water actually none, they grow up on the desert places and it's always fresh and juicy.

botanically speaking... a fruit is the 'developed ovaries' of a plant (from the flower) and the meat around them... the cactus pear is a fruit....

The leaves when eaten are a vegetable.

This plant (actually a vegetable) is very dear to my heart. I was born and raised in south Texas, so to this brings back memories, but please put some music or narration into this great vid!
