kingwood didnt go to NAMMB or AREA this year because we missed so many marching rehearsals due to ike. we were definitly bummed we couldnt go. but we didnt want to show up without our absolute best.

i would have loved to do a show with ahs this past year, but hopefully this next year we'll be able to. i was a fish this year and was at the K9/Kpark.

Thanks to Hurricane Ike, we did not have UIL until Nov. 8th. They could not take rehearsal time away from UIL to practice.

Well Atascocita wanted to, but Kingwood had other plans...Kingwood didn't even go to NAMMB this year because they had a game the same night. How alme of an excuse is that? Contest or football game? Hmmmm...I wonder...I think they were just scared that we were Varsity this year :)

Subshady, KPHS is military, and I believe Humble is still military. Also, numbers do not make a band great, the quality and attitude of participants do. When you consider how "low" the interest is in bands now, KHS is still a big band. Don't they have about 260 or so? Go watch some marching shows in Louisiana and you will appreciate the numbers of KM4B. Average band size in south Louisiana is 40, even in the 5A schools.

I was in the 1998 state marching competition. I was a Senior then. Someone fill me in on the state of the band. Is is doing okay? I know the numbers aren't near what they were when I was in it. We didn't have a freshman band either. Just an awesome and huge band with a lot of pissed off alternates. Out of all the videos of KM4B I've seen since 2004 or so, this is the best. It actually worked. So is Humble still military? What about KPHS?
