How To Record Games On A PC

I been using FRAPS for the past week, I'm recording my F1 2011 race games. I found that it's taking up most of my hard drive space, I'm also experiencing major lag issues when I speak in the game. I've had to delete most, if not all but a couple of video files, plus defrag C drive so pc runs better.

Do you experience such issues with this wegame program as I do using FRAPS?

Also it's not in the description as you mentioned :-(

@MetlHead37 I don't experience it because I have a high end computer, however you will experience lag if you have 1 hard drive + <4gb ram

@AppleAssassin I have an Acer Aspire ax3900, CPU 650 intel Core i5 processor, 4GB DDR3, 1TB HDD, and VGA GT320 1024MB NVIDIA .. it shouldn't lag.

Although I had over 80+ video files from using FRAPS, my hard drive was nearly full, so i deleted nearly all of them then done a defrag, now its down to just under half capacity, with no lag issues.

@MetlHead37 Nah the hard drive is fine but if you want to make recording with as little lag as possible, maybe buy a smaller hard drive and use that primarily for Fraps recordings, I won't go into details about it but if you're recording onto a separate hard drive from what your OS and games are running on it will reduce lag by a significant amount

On a serious note, I did try this program and GOOD LORD was it dead on arrival. I open up my game and suddenly the keyboard doesn't work /at all/. It winds up crashing. All that for the registration requirement in order to use it? Not worth the time if it doesn't work guaranteed like CRAPS video recorder does. They need to work on their product a bit more.

@AXLEGREASEframeset Of course, that's not to say that I assume a program will work 100% of the time. Nothing is perfect. But the effort involved to record (registering and signing up your e-mail for their solicitations), a whole system streamlined for their own WeGame system instead of personal use... it's an odd solution to the goal of recording games, but not /exactly/ what I was looking for.

On the plus side, it's free.
