First off, about eight years ago while scanning radio stations I came upon Focus On The Family where the host was noting that divorce was higher amongst Christians than non-Christians. I honestly took the time to research the issues and I believe Obama and pretty much any Republican besides Michelle Bachmann or probably Rick Perry(close enough Rick Perry might actually be better than Santorum) and possibly Jon Huntsman(I really know nothing about that one) would be a better candidate compared to Rick Santorum.

I'm open-minded. I could change my mind. But you've done NOTHING to persuade me.

He said that Israel 'must vanish from the pages of time' not that it should be 'wiped off the map'. Within the broader speech he also mentions how the Soviet Union in his words 'vanished from the pages of time'. He was voicing his personal desire to see the Israeli regime collapse in much the same manner as the USSR. That isn't nice, but it doesn't express any threat.

Translators make errors all the time. I'm not saying this particular video you ran into was an error, but I was referring to a specific instance in the media, the whole "wiped off the map" incident where he was really saying "vanish from the pages of time".

Type ahmadinejad mistranslation into google, the second page should be the website information clearinghouse. There they describe what he "said" in the context of the entire speech.

Another thing is that he can't use nukes even if they do have them, because it is the Ayatollah, under the Iranian Constitution who has military authority NOT Ahmadinejad.
