I'm a Battlefield fan and have no problem with people playing CoD, I actually enjoy it at times and prefer some things about it over BF. Although I do hate the amount of noobs in CoD (not saying there aren't any in Battlefield) and death streaks... don't go there and I've seen so many people purposefully die so they can get dead mans hand. Oh and spawns. Lets be fair there are a lot of flaws but that's CoD for you.

People are burnt out on CoD and the devs don't really want to change that. They don't care about those of us who've been playing since CoD 4, because there's millions of 10 year olds who's parents will buy it for them.
I didn't get MW3 so I can't say if it's good or bad, but it looks just like any other CoD game. I'm glad I didn't buy it.
Some people have realised that cod in general is just bad, oh and no I don't currently play any call of duty games. Gave up on them a long time ago, if you want a good FPS try Tribes Ascend. It also happens to be free.
What I find funny is that a lot of the people hating on MW3 still play the game more than any other game they own. It's like they are forced to play it.
There are two things i hate, i hate being killed by lag and i hate being killed by a dude laying on the ground scratching his balls with his primary weapon or a C4 trigger. either get rid of host compensation or get dedicated servers, and get rid of the death streaks and the game will be practically perfect.
the problem is rober bowling and all of that lot couldnt giv a shit about all the problems, they have got heaps of money from the sale of the game and they know people will buy the overpriced map packs further increasing their profits. they do not care about the horrible spawns over powered weapons and perks, and i wont be surprised when they do nothing about the problems of their shtty game.
black ops was better i just play in express, mw3 blows dick, bullshit kills, lag, spawns, guns, perks, killstreaks, and i think ive died to panic knifing 4 out of 10 times i die fuck mw3
The lag is horrible on ps3, I have a solid connection, good upload and download speed but the lag is just too brutal to deal with anymore. I can deal with the occasional problem but not when every game is a lag fest. I want to like it, I really do, they need to send the patch from hell to straighten it out though.
I went 32-10 in a TDM game and we lost -_- I hate this game and hate that I lose games because the people are to much of a pussy to move out of their corners and play the fkn game -_-
Honestly I really like it too, Black Ops was the most annoying game I have ever played, the only 2 things I don't really like are the Type 95 and Dead Mans Hand but it's not like the game is unplayable, every COD game is frustrating, but that's just how it is, I like MW3 :)

As soon as commentators start complaining about things in game their subscribers all of a sudden complain as well. I used to care about KD, now I just have fun and do objectives and try to unlock all titles and emblems. It keeps it fresh, since I am constantly changing my weapon load outs. It's just a game. You can't put your KD or your sick No-Scope on a Job Application.

This game is great BECAUSE the most common thing people complain about are the striker, fmg9s, and type95. Mw2 Had AA-12, Akimbo G18ss, and the burst fire FAMAS, all better than the mw3 counterparts. Only reason people bitch about them is because the maps are so CQB. Duh.

To be honest I play Mw2 alot more because it's so much easier to have fun in. Especially in Search and destroy I can use stupid classes or mess up trickshotting lobbies.
Haven't enjoyed COD since v4. Why? Randomness and chaos never makes for an enjoyable game, at least not for me. COD is all about luck. Your reaction time doesn't matter. Being smart doesn't matter. No matter how good you are, no matter how hard you work, you WILL get owned by some n00b who's been given an unreasonable advantage. Game developers used to call those unreasonable advantages "griefing". Now they call them "perks" or "streaks".

@hokiesrock1 I think you missed the point. The point is that n00bs are given advantages that negate any skill that you might have. For instance, in MW3, a n00b that dies over and over gets rewarded with dead man's hand, and once he achieves that death streak, he will own you no matter how good you might be. In MW2, a n00b that sits on one end of the map can own you without you ever being able to see him by launching nades from the spawn, and he gets rewarded with kill streaks.

Zombies is the only thing that keeps this series worth buying and it's completly seperate from the whole multiplayer thing it's aiming for so I think Treyarc should just take zombies and go off or go and make a Zombie only COD game based on the story with a lot of dedication to different types of players, tight maps like Shangri-la, huge open ones like Call of the Dead, story based ones like Der Riese and maybe evn custom tools on both console and PC or the ability to download PC made ones.
The imbalance and the focus on kills over actual game types. When's the last time you played Domination where someone wants to take all the flags to get more points and win the game over captruing only 2 just to spawn kill. Everything is just cheap and imbalanced, every cod has been like this with Black Ops being the only one that was balanced by COD standards. People buy it now as a brand to be cool over liking the game, it's like people would make fun of you for not having Nike Trainers.
Watching your game play. You kill people almost instantly. My experience is nit the same. I feel like I put an entire clip in someone then I die instantly only to watch the kill cam to see I wasn't even shooting yet. Hate this game. Lag comp kills it for me.
The hate for the game mechanics is legitimate, as is the hate for Robert Bowling. They should have built this on top of the MW2 engine...smooth gameplay, good hit detection, beautiful mechanics. Instead, they fuck with the lag comp and hit detection to get rid of an almost non-existent "host advantage" and now every other player suffers. Robert Bowling can DIAF. As for the game contents, that's more hairy. Did you really expect anything revolutionary from a sequel? Hate here is subjective.
its fkin annoying when you play search... Portable Radar combined with Heartbeat Sensor forced you to use Assassin, which I hate that shit the most. They should do it like in COD4 where you have an attachment like NOOBTube then your 1st perk would not be available.
The maps are what kill this game for me. IW games don't come anywhere near Treyarch games in terms of maps. They're not as bad as MW2 maps, but they're no where near as good as Black Ops maps. And they would probably need ten years of work before they're half as good as a World at War map.
There's always gonna be hate towards something that is so popular, I personally used to play CoD and do have them all but as of late haven't even touched it to be honest. It's not that there's something wrong with it, it's just gotten VERY repetitive. But who can blame them when it sells more and more each time? The hate towards it also puts me off the game, as the CoD community doesn't exactly have a good reputation. Anyways that's all just MY opinion.
I dont like mw3 because its boring and this is coming from someone who has played every cod since cod 1 on the PC, i played it for like 2 weeks got to 80 and prestiged and havent touched it since than just because the maps are bad the spawns are worst and for a game that supposed to be THE best fps game its just not trying enough, this game is turning into wow, world of warcraft used to be soo much fun until they dumbed it down to get more casual players to buy it.

Lag compensation has been easily the worst part of the game. I remember playing yesterday and leaving games in the middle, realizing that I was actually the host of the game, yet was getting shot around corners and having bad lag spikes. The flinch of getting shot is also ridiculous, the amount of times I've gotten first shot on someone then got headshotted is huge, because someone gets lucky and their flinch makes their gun shoot me in the face.
I have the opposite problem. When I play wioth I team I do poorly, probably because I don't have good teammates to game with. The hate probably comes from gamers that want something "different". They don't know what they want different, some specifics that are just fixes to "problems" but they seem to want DIFFERENT.To this I say only one phrase... There are COD players and GAMERS. COD players usually don't play much else and like to bitch. GAMERS come across as stuck up for expecting too much.
3. It's back as a deathstreak, not quite the same thing
4. They've fixed lots of glitches, which is more important than weapon tweaking
5. Say what you want MW2 was an extremely fun and popular game

@ninjaheartt The only reason BO has more improvement than MW3 from day of release is because Black Ops was literally unplayable on day of release, and continued to be so for PS3 for a few days after.
MW3 has only been consistently patched and updated since release as well, it's definitely better support than it was for MW2. You keep talking about the "people" who agree with you. There are a couple million people who agree with me that MW3 is better than BO, as that's the game they're playing.

Activision has IGNORED what we asked for, in every part of the game. I have not seen the game change from their patches, the same issues are still around that were on release. Mw2 had the crappiest support of any game ever, so doing better than that is not hard.

You can hear how frustrated they are with this game. Of the people I watch, only Woody and EMR seem to still love this game and even they have rage issues.

However IW has been listening to us, they have consistently patched the game from the start (I've noticed the differences). They listened to the community from MW2 about changes for MW3, and are listening to them now for MW3.

Their patches have fixed lots of things, including tuning lag compensation, weapon balancing, glitches, exploits etc. Everything else you wrote is just opinion, so I can't really comment on it.
@Kjellarnek you dont know what your talking about. Bowling stated multiple times DS would not be returning, said ghost in no form would return, and said knives were becoming 2 hit kills. All of this was announced through his twitter and posted on YT by tmart. Their patches have fixed glitch spots that shouldnt have been in the game anyway, but nothing else. Every comment so far has said how much the maps suck.
The rediculous view kick seems to fly under the radar hate wise. One of the major complaints with MW2 was the "whoever sees the guy first wins the gun fight" technique. With view kick this problem is maximized. Bad connections suck too, that's why I play FFA mostly because I am guaranteed a good connection.
Watching cod videos since mw2 first came out, I've seen a trend. People say they don't like the newest game and go back to the old ones. Every cod game has problems, even the beloved cod 4.
I like black ops but if I really think about it, I only bought it because of friends really.. Cod is a great game but getting kinda stale. Well fps in general but that's just my opinion xD
For me it's that the game really doesn't require a lot of skill to be amazing at/get a lot of kills. Kill times should be a lil bit longer. There is also no innovation left in the COD franchise. Kill confirmed is nice and all but nothing to write home about. It's even got issues that Treyarch fixed in black ops but were ignored by IW in this reiteration....
i hate it because it's inconsistent for me.Mostly due to connections but other bullshit.In all other CODs you can play any playstyle and be decent. It all comes down to "did i earn that kill/death". This was mostly true in cod4 and blops.
The only reason why I really dislike it is the Lack of major change with no major step forwards in the series where as it feels like black ops did move forward. Owh and Lag compensation

The lag is horrible on ps3, I have a solid connection, good upload and download speed but the lag is just too brutal to deal with anymore. I can deal with the occasional problem but not when every game is a lag fest. I want to like it, I really do, they need to send the patch from hell to straighten it out though.

Honestly I really like it too, Black Ops was the most annoying game I have ever played, the only 2 things I don't really like are the Type 95 and Dead Mans Hand but it's not like the game is unplayable, every COD game is frustrating, but that's just how it is, I like MW3 :)

As soon as commentators start complaining about things in game their subscribers all of a sudden complain as well. I used to care about KD, now I just have fun and do objectives and try to unlock all titles and emblems. It keeps it fresh, since I am constantly changing my weapon load outs. It's just a game. You can't put your KD or your sick No-Scope on a Job Application.

Why do people hate MW3??? Because it deserves the fucking hate it gets. Robert Bowling hasnt done a single thing to nerf OP Assassin bullshit in the game. The lag is still fucked up, and spawns blow. Haven't enjoyed COD since v4. Why? Randomness and chaos never makes for an enjoyable game, at least not for me. COD is all about luck. Your reaction time doesn't matter. Being smart doesn't matter. @hokiesrock1 I think you missed the point. The point is that n00bs are given advantages that negate any skill that you might have. For instance, in MW3, a n00b that dies over and over gets rewarded with dead man's hand, and once he achieves that death streak, he will own you no matter how good you might be. In MW2, a n00b that sits on one end of the map can own you without you ever being able to see him by launching nades from the spawn, and he gets rewarded with kill streaks.

2. Weapons are over powered and snipers still aren't one hit kills

Zombies is the only thing that keeps this series worth buying and it's completly seperate from the whole multiplayer thing it's aiming for so I think Treyarc should just take zombies and go off or go and make a Zombie only COD game based on the story with a lot of dedication to different types of players, tight maps like Shangri-la, huge open ones like Call of the Dead, story based ones like Der Riese and maybe evn custom tools on both console and PC or the ability to download PC made ones.

The imbalance and the focus on kills over actual game types. When's the last time you played Domination where someone wants to take all the flags to get more points and win the game over captruing only 2 just to spawn kill. The hate for the game mechanics is legitimate, as is the hate for Robert Bowling. They should have built this on top of the MW2 engine...smooth gameplay, good hit detection, beautiful mechanics. Instead, they fuck with the lag comp and hit detection to get rid of an almost non-existent "host advantage" and now every other player suffers. Robert Bowling can DIAF. As for the game contents, that's more hairy. Did you really expect anything revolutionary from a sequel? Hate here is subjective.

The maps are what kill this game for me. IW games don't come anywhere near Treyarch games in terms of maps. They're not as bad as MW2 maps, but they're no where near as good as Black Ops maps. And they would probably need ten years of work before they're half as good as a World at War map.

Lag compensation has been easily the worst part of the game. I remember playing yesterday and leaving games in the middle, realizing that I was actually the host of the game, yet was getting shot around corners and having bad lag spikes. The flinch of getting shot is also ridiculous, the amount of times I've gotten first shot on someone then got headshotted is huge, because someone gets lucky and their flinch makes their gun shoot me in the face.

I have the opposite problem. When I play wioth I team I do poorly, probably because I don't have good teammates to game with. The hate probably comes from gamers that want something "different". 1. BO got the same hate, now its popular.
2. Any game is fun with friends, but Mw3 is frustrating alone.
3. Alot of promises were broken. Bowling promised no deathstreaks, no ghost return, and 2 hit kill knives for example.

5. The game isnt that different from Mw2, even has the same art style.
6. Do not like the maps at all.

You don't need to like MW3, whether it's from illogical hate based on other people's opinions, or just your personal opinion doesn't matter. Just don't back it up with bullshit "facts".

@weirdo666666 BO was full of crap, but treyarch actively patch and changed their game to make better. Go and compare BO on release day and then the game 3 months later. You will see that it got progressively better. Thats why I still dont hate on BO, treyarch actually cares about their game.

@ninjaheartt The only reason BO has more improvement than MW3 from day of release is because Black Ops was literally unplayable on day of release, and continued to be so for PS3 for a few days after.
MW3 has only been consistently patched and updated since release as well, it's definitely better support than it was for MW2. You keep talking about the "people" who agree with you. There are a couple million people who agree with me that MW3 is better than BO, as that's the game they're playing.

@weirdo666666 but it changed. Treyarch cares enough that they took input from the community and constantly made their game better. David Vanderhar is considering scraping CoD points for the next game based on whether we liked it.
Activision has IGNORED what we asked for, in every part of the game. I have not seen the game change from their patches, the same issues are still around that were on release. Mw2 had the crappiest support of any game ever, so doing better than that is not hard.

@weirdo666666 yes, there are millions of players. But people are steadily leaving the game and its only been 3 months. Look around, listen to the top commentators. You can hear how frustrated they are with this game. Of the people I watch, only Woody and EMR seem to still love this game and even they have rage issues.
This game makes people angry instead of letting them have fun and theres no zombie mode to fall back on. People are going to continue leaving.

@ninjaheartt Hell, remember BO? People were leaving in droves at this time too, people got bored within a couple months and left. Also, Treyarch (and COD) is owned by Activision. However IW has been listening to us, they have consistently patched the game from the start (I've noticed the differences). They listened to the community from MW2 about changes for MW3, and are listening to them now for MW3.
Also I don't let other "top commentators" tell me what to think. I form my own opinions.

@ninjaheartt Bowling never said anything about making knives 2 hit kills, nor did he say deathstreaks wouldn't return. Their patches have fixed lots of things, including tuning lag compensation, weapon balancing, glitches, exploits etc. Everything else you wrote is just opinion, so I can't really comment on it.

@Kjellarnek you dont know what your talking about. Bowling stated multiple times DS would not be returning, said ghost in no form would return, and said knives were becoming 2 hit kills. All of this was announced through his twitter and posted on YT by tmart. Their patches have fixed glitch spots that shouldnt have been in the game anyway, but nothing else. Every comment so far has said how much the maps suck.

The rediculous view kick seems to fly under the radar hate wise. One of the major complaints with MW2 was the "whoever sees the guy first wins the gun fight" technique. With view kick this problem is maximized. Bad connections suck too, that's why I play FFA mostly because I am guaranteed a good connection.

For me it's that the game really doesn't require a lot of skill to be amazing at/get a lot of kills. Kill times should be a lil bit longer. There is also no innovation left in the COD franchise. Kill confirmed is nice and all but nothing to write home about. It's even got issues that Treyarch fixed in black ops but were ignored by IW in this reiteration....

i hate it because it's inconsistent for me.Mostly due to connections but other bullshit.In all other CODs you can play any playstyle and be decent. It all comes down to "did i earn that kill/death". This was mostly true in cod4 and blops.
