my goodness, this is fantastic! definetely the best Disneyland on YouTube
where did you get the sheet music? did you get it from the score? my version is from Musical Theatre Anthology for Teens and the accompaniment in your video is much better than mine. if you could let me know, that'd be amazing. thank you!
@SFVGAchoi I'm glad you enjoyed it so much, but the sheet music the accompanist had was the same version as the Hal Leonard book. :-) I don't know if he riffed/improvised on it, but you and I have the same version.

there was a girl, she was about eleven and went to the same arts camp as me. and this wasn't bad, but when this little girl sang it, it was THIRTY times better!
where on earth did you get the sheet music for this song. i did the west coast premier of the show in 1988 and have looked high and low for the music. any thoughts? thanks.
Thanks! Yeah. I keep saying this, but it's true: The weekend they filmed the show (it was a five week run) I couldn't even SPEAK when offstage. That's the shape my voice was in. It was horrendous, so while I don't love the quality of my singing in those videos, I'm proud and surprised I sounded as good as it did. lol
I love this song! You have done an absolutely amazing job with it! I used to work in WDW in Florida, and this totally somes up my Disney obsession! Thanks for posting it!
I WAS IN SMILE A FEW YEARS AGO PLAYING Little Bob Freelander's best friend [Can't even remember my own character's name] But I LOVE this song! Thanks so much for bringing back those memories, makes me wanna cry lol.
Hello... thank you for posting your audition, I hope you got the part! At least I thought you performed exceptionally well. I had seen the musical (Smile!) in Indianapolis at Theatre on the Square... sometime in the early 90's when they were still at Fountain Square... and absolutely loved it. Howard Ashman was such a huge contributor to the "rebirth" period of Disney's animation studio... to me, it's ironic that not long after he wrote this song he was working for them.
:-) This wasn't an audition; it was just for class. I would be dressed much better for an audition. I've never seen anything in Theatre on the Square, but was just in a show at Indianapolis Civic before I moved out to New York. Howard Ashman's music is some of my favorite.
I like Howard Ashman, too. Including the non-Disney Little Shop of Horrors. And I see in the related videos that you were Belle (Beauty+Beast) at Civic. Sorry I missed that... who knows, maybe someday you'll perform in Indianapolis again. :)
Howard didn't write music; he wrote lyrics (as I'm sure you know, if you're singing one of his songs). For everyone else: Marvin Hamlisch wrote the music for "Disneyland"; most of Howard's lyrics were set to music by Alan Menken. "Disneyland" is not one of his best, in my opinion, but you sing it really wonderfully.
OMG!!!! thank you soooooo much for the cast demo link!!! yea im in this theater camp right now, well they want us to call it "workshop" btu anyway i need to sing this song for music class and all she gave us was backround music and i had no idea when to start! thanx a bunch! and u were really good too!
I have to learn this song! Ahh it sums up all my feelings about Disney (except that I like Disney World better than Disneyland :) There's no point when there's no EPCOT.)

Thanks. Yeah. By "music" meant, the generic song.... not necissarily the actual MUSIC to the song. I know he's a lyricist.
