  • Rediculousley funky and freaky!

  • i just like little feats version

  • Wow. A great live performance of this high-energy bit I love on the album (into Texas Rose Cafe?) Great capture of a great band of legendary musicians' musicians. Wow again... Thanks for posting.

  • Amazing stuff! Had never heard this one before. I think Billie Payne may be the most brilliant keyboard player I've ever heard!

  • Would have been my musical dream to have heard frankie miller on vocals with this band would have been awsum

  • This is almost unbelievable - a band in TOP form! This whole Netherlands concert, the more warmed up they get, the more ferocious and relaxed and sublime they get.

  • Bill Payne and Bob Weir are two of the best dress hippies to ever dawn the stage...

  • Damn I miss Lowell and Richie.

  • I saw Little Feat with Bonnie Raitt in 1976.She opened for them. For an encore,Little feat came out and jammed with her band. One of the best (if not the best)concerts I ever saw.It was an outdoor concert at Met park in Norfolk,Va.

  • hey..i'm all for page, lennon, george, feat..but i also grew up with hearing the Outlaws here in the states..all great memories of good times..the middle to end of the 70's..cant find much talent nowadays out there that can match any of them

  • why is there not a dvd of this performance??!! Obviously 'official' cameras where there , as we can have seen by the great footage - this was the Feat in their prime, I think and i saw them at Manchester Apollo 1976 - drove with several mates from Leeds Uni to see them - they blew The OutLaws off the f...ing stage - who were Warners Bros next best thing to the Eagles , at the time - Outlaws- who? I have 3 heroes - Jimmy Page,John Lennon and Lowell George

  • Richie!!!

  • Lowell hated this song cause it was just impossible to sing. . . high in his range and you have to sing all those words so fast. . . . this version is pretty good but there are some live versions on YouTube where you can tell he just gave up . . . the pitch is awful and the words are just blathered out. . . . But God it is a classic. . . "Some people say rock and roll is bad for the body and bad for the soul . . . "

  • this song remember me jhon fogerty style and I love the beautiful raw Nazareth version...

  • Actually it cropped up in nearly every set list even Nazareth came it out with their version. See the many, many live recordings (including the Orpheum '75 show, my personal favourite) available with the band's consent at the Live Music Archive. My guess is Lowell just thought it was a bit pedestrian compared to most of his other, more sophisticated songs.

  • If I remember correctly, Lowell hated this song, but felt obligated to play it after Nazereth had a hit with his song. Saw Feat in 1977? at Franklin College in Indiana. 2 shows same night, paid for the first & snuck in for the second. Also saw them in Baltimore in 74 or 75.

  • Red hot and ya can't sit down listenin' to this one!

Love this tune on the "Sailin' Shoes" album, ca. 1972

  • Yeah

    awesome

  • love this song. RIP LG.

  • Thank you!

  • Love it !!!!

  • Thanks for posting this. Wow. The Feat at their best...and live to boot.

  • Now this is the real deal.

Use to have a version from the Orpheum in Boston in 1975.

This is Little Feat at the Top.

    Tremendous post.

  • What a great concert

  • So Good! Thanks
