  • A STOCK TRANS AM 400CI 6.6 LITRE HAD ONLY 180 HP. HAHAHA! (:>)

  • thats a pontiac trans am not an oldsmobile.

  • Olds is the only way to go...wanna talk specifics? bring it! Poncho's used both Olds and Pont. plants of several different sizes ansd model years...for example, the 403 from 77-79 is Olds sb, all have windowed mains and none had m/t mated. The poncho 400 had m/t though.....

    Nice car BTW

  • thats sweet as shit! I have a 79. It looks real sweet lowered and with the blower and the wheels. what did u use to drop the car??

  • I don't even think it has a blower, I think it just has the scoop, cause It should be higher up if so and I don't even hear a whine. I could be wrong though.

  • will this outrun a police interceptor?

  • hey man nice car, I got a 73 455 olds I have done up for my 79 TA, its goin in, in a few weeks now, I was wonderin, what headers you used, do the 403 headers work for this particular application? and what about clearance issues if any? I am worried out of my mind about that shit.

  • I put a olds 455 with the edelbrock intake on my 79 Trans Am. I had to go with the hood scoop as well. You cant shut the hood with a stock air cleaner. You cant use the shaker either. I used 403 headers and I ended up having to put some dents in the floorboards for them to clear. It was my first car so I made a lot of mistakes. Im sure now there are more options to get them to fit in a trans am.

  • well my motor is in now, and the 403 headers worked out, and surprisingly the shaker still just barely fits, but it could be cause I ain't using the torker 2 manifold. Thanks for the info though.

  • may I say...olds 455s were made from 69-76, 71-2 is where the detuning began. Obviousley a build up motor in the bird, too bad it's not in an Olds.

Search 442 burnout (oldsguy1 is the poster) and look for the orange 442 video.

  • umm does anybody but me on here have enough sense to know that the car used was a pontiac 455 trans am, not an oldsmobile?

  • nice ! I have a 72 455 olds I am building for my 79 TA, mated to a T5 5 speed out of an 85 TA

  • Thats wassup

  • thats the machine!

  • the 455 4 barrel in like a 1976 thru 1980 makes about 300 horsepower less then the 1969 thru 1973 trans am

  • this 455 oldsmobile engine is a everyday driver and makes 480 - 500 hp

  • Hey, I just got a '75 Trans Am 455 HO Performance package 4 Speed. Its bone stock and runs well. I read somewhere its only 200hp, Is this true? If so do u guys know of some cheap mods to boost up hp while looking stock. Thanks

  • 455 four Barrel?

  • yes of course 455 4 barrel! its a BG silver claw!

  • That's wild! We had a Delta 88 (1969) with the 455 Four Barrel and I'd give anything to have that car back and redo it. I'm looking around for one right now actually. Anyways - cool cars!

  • ooooo

  • its not a oldsmobile its a pontiac.

  • ITS AN OLDSMOBILE 455 ENGINE!!

  • WHAT A MACHINE!
