big twins are for runnin generators. as for previous comments about triple handling, remember about 35 yrs of tech into frames. put an H2 engine in a busa frame and look out
I road raced one in the late 70s and it was radar gunned at Portland International Raceway at 146 on the front straight before they installed that stupid chicane. It did an 11.89, 120 mph quarter at Fremont drag strip in California in 1980. The engine was fairly stock. It had a set of 34 Mikunis and pipes from a place in San Jose, Ca that I can't remember the name. Redline was 9300 rpm, stock was 7500. On the street, the Harley guys had to run big engines to out run it.
Busas is no big problem, until over 170-180 km/h, then the bigger diplacement will do the job.. And the H2 is infamous for it's bad handling at high speed, so...
And the best thing: the noise from the H2, scares the competitors... LoL
The H2 handled okay. You just had to let it do its thing and not fight it. It was cursed by a "wobble demon" that could be taken care of by boxing in the steering head and installing tapered bearings on the triple clamp. Replace the the swingarm pivot and bushings with a bigger diameter ones and box the swingarm.
never to forget after driving it !

The big twins makes powerful, grunty noise, like a grizzly, but an H2 with chambers sounds hilarious... hehe
I think this two types of bikes are totally opposite, the first is the "strongest man", the H2 is the sprinter, on LSD...
