@dustrock0725 .177 pellets can be used in this gun by either loading them and firing them one at a time by loading a pellet directly into the breach or by opening up the dummy cartradges slightly with a drill bit so pellets can be inserted into the cartradges .
I'm sorry for being so brutally honest about this gun but for such a cool looking, realistic, sensational revolver to be so under powered is a crime. The look, the feel, the realism of this gun is awesome but then is fires BBs at a slow rate. Such a shame as I love the look of this gun but wont invest in one because its under powered and only fires BBs.
@mintwithahole im sorry mate i dont understand why you think this is under powerd , its just a bb gun and as bb guns go it is more powerful than most other co2 bb guns on the market ( none of the umarex range of pellet firing co2 pistols can break bottles ect ) for what this gun is desighend for wich is plinking fun shooting cans bottles ect it has plenty power if you need a gun for hunting then yeah this is not the gun to buy.
@drgoodman8 th cylinder is stainless steel but the rest of the pistol is plated with something that looks like chrome , i dont think it is chrome ut it sure looks like it and its a very durable and decent finish .
@Jankock767 i wouldent recomend it as you could end up with all kind of jamming problems , id say best stick with standard bbs , there cheap and accurate enough for this pistol but having said that you can safely fire lead .177 pellets in this pistol but you have to load them one at a time directly into the breach end of the barrel.
@tbonesnake2008 I just purchased a blackened 8" version, and it says, " 6mm recommended ", could I still put .177 caliber metal BBs into it? Or would it just screw it up?
@MrTrainfanatic yup it would just screw up , .177 is just way too small they would just roll out of the barrel , you can get steel bbs in 6mm though if thats what you want to use instead of plastic bbs .
Great review, really helped me decide what to buy, and because of this vid, i'm going to buy this, no other review showed shooting and reloading, the thing i want to see, so keep up the good work :)
@crfstunter the 6mm shells will fit in the cylinder but the barrel is a 4.5mm barrel so you would have to change out the barrel to if you wanted to use 6mm bbs.
I want to buy a Revolver, but i dont know which 4inch or 6inch. The 4inch is smaller and i like that..but the 6inch is more powerful. What do you think? Which is better?
@MrCretzu94 i thought the 4inch only came in 6mm airsoft caliber ? but i could be wrong , if you can get a 4 inch version in 4.5mm steel bb caliber i would say go for it as its a great looking revolver with the 4 inch barrel and honestly the extra 2 inch barrel length only gives a slight more power that you just wouldent notice unless you chronographed it , if you prefer the look of the 4inch get that one mate theres really hardly any power difference .
Hey, can you tell me the weight of the bbs you use? I want to be able to break glass with mine when the gun gets here :) And if 4.5mm is't too good for breaking glass, what else works? :) Any answers would be much appreaciated
@ZenxHD i have no idea of the weight of 4.5mm steel bbs but as you can see in the vid it had no problem smashing a thick glass wine bottle using steel 4.5mm bbs . infact if breaking bottles is ya thing then 4.5mm bbs are way better than 4.5mm lead pellets ( in an air pistol at least ).
@tbonesnake2008 Bro, help me out here :L I just looked at 4.5mm bbs (to buy, because apparently the 4.5mm steel bbs I have are really 4.4mm) And I'd love to know if this gun is safe to fire steel, lead, etc. Or does it not make a difference what type of metel they are.. GOD, advertisment can annoy me, anyway, basically, is there a difference between, "metel bbs", "steel bbs" and "lead bbs"? And if so, what one(s) are meant for this gun? (And what bbs do you use and where do you buy them?) Thanks
@tbonesnake2008 I just got my gun today, (exact same on as in the video btw) And I was fukly aware that my "4.5mm" bb's were really 4.4mm. The bullets are flying everywhere cause they aren't fitting too well with the barrel, and since the size on that was falsly advertised, I kinda don't trust anything now :S lol. Can you tell me the make of the bbs you use PLEASE? I don't want to go wasting more money on false products :( HELP PLEASE :)
this revolver is classed as an air pistol , its muzzel energy exceeds 2 joules , any pistol thats over 1.5 joules is classed as an air pistol and not air soft , also this pistol uses .177/ 4.5mm steel bbs and not 6mm airsoft plastic bbs , i might be wong but i dont think its possible to have .177 / 4.5mm plastic bbs at least ive never came across any and if there are plastic bbs in this caliber they would be to light and cause bad accuracy.
to be honest i dont think there is any benefit to having the 8inch barel version other than looks , like personal preferance , if ya like the look of the 8inch version then go with that , as the barrels are smooth bore with no rifeling there will be no power gains to speak of with the longer barrel and i doubt any gains in accuracy , possibly the one benefit with the 8inch version would be a slight increase in weight wich would help a bit to steady the gun when shooting.
@tbonesnake2008 actually according to their website the 4" has about 420fps, the 6" bout 450fps and the 8" bout 495-500fps....accuracy would be only slightly better in the 8" (here in New Zealand the 8" is cheaper cos it's black not chrome)
@tbonesnake2008 The 8 inch does give a good amount of extra FPS vs the 6". the reason I've bought the 6" was because I love the silver finish too much, if they did the 8" in silver, I would've bought that, hands down. BUT bare in mind; there isn't TOO much of an FPS increase, so, if you want an air pistol for plinking (which is what this gun is meant for) then both the 6" and 8" barrel will take out most glass bottles, and have basically thr same effect on tin cans and plastic etc.
If you want to hunt squizzers then yep a handgun will work just as well XD for some of us that don't live in the US we have to make do with air rifles to hunt. Which can suck at times. But its a good learning curve, Only reason I bought this cannon today is because I just love revolvers. haha
Why is it so hard to find on here videos of CO2 powered revolvers that are strictly pellet guns with a realistic working cylinder. I keep finding nothing but these over priced "toy" airsoft guns which is not what I am wanting. I doubt a airsoft gun could shoot a plastic bb and take down a squirrel or other rodents.
@Milner62 good luck with your search your never going to find one good enough to take squizzers with, only ones for that would be the HW45 spring powered, or the webley alecto, You would also be looking into ratcatchers.
Sorry to dissapoint. This is still a fantastic gun though. Picked one up today. DIrty harry!!
@herpo14292, It is a great looking gun.I would consider something like this but price is also a concern for me.I could see up to $60 for a bb/pellet gun but once you start getting around $100 or more I have to say screw it ill buy a real hand gun instead.Be cheaper in the long run too since you dont have to buy bb/pellets and co2 cartridges with the air gun compared to a regular firearm. But if I could find a airsoft one I might consider that, would just prefer bb/pellet over airsoft if possible
@Milner62 well where-ever you are you're lucky....our handguns are up round $1000+ and the dearest handgun i've seen was the umarex beretta 92fs for just over $500
@SWATforce1, there are some handguns I would love to get up around $1000+ but those are named brand guns that have a long history. For instance I would love to get the Smith and Wesson classic series Model 29 nickel plated revolver in .44 magnum caliber. Brand new they are $1,220.00. I just cant justify spending that much for a hand gun. If they cant sell it for under $1,000 I will go somewheres else.
@Milner62 well here it's bout $1000 for your typical Glock 17 or Beretta 92F. Desert Eagles (.50AE illegal here i think, maximum .44Mag) are bout $3000. Fully automatic weapons are illegal here too (airsoft included)
@SWATforce1, ouch that sucks, full auto guns are legal here but not many people can afford to buy them and even if someone could the government would break your bank on the excessive monthly/yearly class III license you have to pay just to own the gun. If you miss a payment for your license you cant own the gun and then they take and will get you for illegally owning a class III firearm. I think its sad to be honest.
@Milner62 here in NZ anything with more than 5 (or 8) rounds in a magazine is considered a military grade weapon and needs a military endorsement. Any weapon over a certain age needs an antique endorsement. and handguns need a handgun endorsement. Airsoft and CO2 are legal without license for over 18 but due to an incident a few years ago where a police officer was injured or killed (can't remember which) they are making it you need a firearms license to get the more powerful ones...
@SWATforce1 (i think it just applies to the compressed air ones)....i'd love to have, not quite the same laws as america, but possibly easier laws and cheaper licenses.
no, the bbs have to be loaded in the rubber front section of the cartridges so they are gripped tightly to create correct compresion resistance with the co2 gas , also the hole at the back of the cartridge is too small for the bb to fit through.
where did u get the 6 inch in chrome cuz that is what ive been looking for
