  • Wonderful! Thanks so much for posting!

  • I am Mark Steed, Guitarist with Folkal Point all those years ago. Thanks for your continued support. Just to let you know that we are releasing a second album. More information soon at our website folkalpointmusic.co.uk

  • @banjodag many thanks .

  • Isn't lovely to hear an English folk sung in a proper English accent, rather than that bizarre part West Country, part Lancashire, part God-knows-what accent that modern folkies use?

  • very nice song thanks for putting it on

  • @MorrisManDanceMan There's been no copyright hassle on this track (yet). How we missed a fine group like this first time round is an example of what other great music is yet to be discovered. This genre goes for big bucks these days.

  • @minutegongcoughs that is so true folk songs like this are so good and again thank you for putting this on

  • hello minutegongcoughs

this is an amazing band, thanks for the song

do you know if thisis reissued on cd?

  • @Friskus22 As legit goes I'm not so sure.

  • This track by Folkal point is amazing. The wind that shakes the barley by Gallery is also a wonderful album on Midas.

  • "Touch and Go" by ELPowell utilises the same melody.

  • bit too straight. typical for folk after 71

  • Wow, it sends shivers down the back of my neck! No wonder each original LP is selling for thousands.

  • Great song! And the Deirdre (Dutch folk rock 1978) version is also awesome.

  • What a fantastic version of one of my favourite English songs. I have a particular soft spot for Lovely Joan as Vaughan Williams collected it from a singer in my native county of Norfolk. Listening to it always cheers me up when I get a bit nostalgic or homesick now that I live in big ol' Texas !

  • thank you for this, such great storytelling..

    one of my favorites is

    Victoria dines alone

  • loved the 'clifton bridge' cover

  • Bristol is a cool place, my mother lives there...as I'm moving to Scotland,I'' see less of hear....life is a bitch, when you have a scottish girl-friend,lol

I'm not sure what 'folk' means...but this has a nice medievil theme about it.

  • I only have it on CDR & Flash. The LP on Midas is so rare and worth, so I'm informed over £1000. It is a terrific piece of music.

  • This is just amazing. I absolutely love it! can't wait to hear more of your fine offerings. I wonder what became of this amazing folk band.

  • Cherie Musialik was still performing in Bristol a few years ago. As a duo I was told for limited gigs. I was passed that info from a source on the internet.

  • @darthmagnum Thanks for the comment, new album soon. folkalpointmusic.co.uk
