I comprehend your attitude towards Aristide, but I think you either are unaware or overlooked important factors in the history of Aristide’s presidency. I think you need to pay more attention into the propagated campaign against Aristide, his administration and supporters to fully understand. I know my proposal might seem a bit general and too broad, but I want you to become conscious of the FACT, and the REASONS that the events that transpired are much more than what meets the eye.
I think you also misunderstood the role and the purpose of Guy Philippe. Not that I feel sorry for him at all, however, he was USED by third party interest groups in Haiti(the elites) in order to carry out some of the murders/ assaults of Aristide supporters(for various reasons). In many cases, it was mass murder of innocent people. In the end, many of the promises that initially given to Guy Philippe to NEVER happened, he was basically used to do the dirty work.

I hear you!!! Your reasons for opposing Aristide are applicable; however I still think you’re missing a BIG piece of the puzzle (as complicated as it is). I assure that many of the key figures you mentioned, such as Philippe, including various organizations campaigning against Aristide was NOT in the BEST interest of the POPULACE but of their own interest. That includes social and private sectors as well. Guy was no hero; he was used to do the dirty work by 3rd party interest groups (Elites).
when aristide came back for the second time. he instated a bloody policy. he created gangs of thousands of my young brothers in every Haitian state.for the first time Haiti had gangs in its existence.aristide gave guns to kids as young as 8 years old to carry out his killings.these kids could not even write there names, they had bodies on there head.he had thousands of kids,women,men,students jounalist killed.the gangs were driving government issued vehicles. issued by aristide.

and when he didnt get what U.S promised he went on a radio admit that he was paid to do the job, U.S. promised him to be a candidate in the election, when they saw his act was too durty which was killing people U.S. turned him down he rat on the U.S. thats why he is hiding in the woods now, he was part of the killings in 1991, if thats what you call a hero you are just plain ignorant
