The earth is not a cornucopia but a finite and fragile entity. To simply ignore the dangers of dramtically rising resource-demands of an exponentially growing economy is typical for many economists. The way we live today is not sustainable at all. We have to leave the growth economy sooner or later if we want to continue this project of civilization.
