  • Freakin verizon you guys are rip-offs sometimes. i thought it was just customers you guys swindle didnt know it was your workers too. Giant shame i'm switching as soon as i get the chance but i support your workers who deserve better. its the execs that seem to have the problem.

  • well when health care reform goes completely in effect, verizon won't be allowed to deny their employees, union or otherwise, medical benefits. the moment they do, they will have to answer to the government. They will get what's comming to them and the mentality that CEOs and people at the top can just take anything they want will stop

  • Just saw this as an ad on a different video. Sending it to everyone i know. Love and Solidarity! The American people stand with you!

  • omg corporate greed im just now learning about such a thing did anyone else notice theres only hicks in this commercial?

  • @Ryanpbny They're union,aren't they?What the hell is wrong with you.

  • crazy........

  • Is there anything dumber than employees who want their employer to pay more taxes. Yes, it's people who will help the union increase costs for Verizon thereby putting upward pressure on pries for Verizon services. If these union members think they can do better elsewhere they should go get another job. And open up a job for somebody who would appreciate it. What a bunch of ingrates. And babies who expect others to fight their battles.

  • @carcabe your missing the point, did you not listen to anything they said??? they want to take thier jobs away altogether, so there wont be a "next man". and they should stand up and get rid of this non sense for the sake of future emplyees as well as themselves

  • @carcabe The working man & woman are entitled to a living wage & benefits.CWA has bargained in good faith with Verizon.I,and members like me,are entitled to fair play from the company in return for an honest day's work. The company gets that. What have they done in return?Outsourced jobs, pressure members to accept less & no insurances of a job in the future.Ingrates?I worked my butt off for this company.I want to be fairly treated. The company has made a pile.No one gets rich as a tech for Verizon.

  • @carcabe Babies?Expect other's to fight our battles?I've been on plenty picket lines, paticipated in many rallies called by the union.Did mobile picketing when out of town scabs(the ones you support who take food off worker's tables)attempted to break our strike.Spent 4 months on strike in '89 and worked with many members who were out for 7 months in '71.Don't tell me someone else fights my battles, you jerk.

  • Unions rock

  • the only reason i'm here is cuz of the begining song lol

  • Unions suck

  • @NYCubeMan management lackey

  • @NYCubeMan management lackey

  • @NYCubeMan Fuck you tool

  • How is NOT taking money from someone or somewhere or something, something the government can do?

"How can the government give Verizon a tax break..."

is like saying, "How can they not steal money from this company?, they steal from most others! They should steal from this one too"

  • You ask for to much & they say no so they can keep making profits.

  • This video show how little taxes VZ, a large Co. pays & how they cry poor mouth to their workers. VZ shouldn't be asking for give backs when they have a thriving business which pays little taxes. Are the people complaining about the workers having good benefit just jealous? Isn't this what the GOPs are accusing the democrats of doing. Please noteI worked 30+ years, took less pay over the years to keep my good benefits. I do not intend sit by while a viable VZ tries take them away.

  • @novakopach5I did the same.It pisses me off when non-union people say it's unreasonable to think Verizon should pay for employee medical benefits. As an employee of Verizon,Bell Atlantic,NYNEX,New York Telephone,I & my fellow union members took less in wage increases in return for benefits. We are supposed to hand those benefits back?Calculate those wage increases & give them to the members,if you want employees to pay a portion of their benefits. You'll never see that.Solidarity forever,CWA!

  • @Marydawgs Good to see as Union members we are in lockstep on this issue. Maybe some of those that who understand will see the light if they hear it from us individually as well as collectively.

  • Yeah, pay more taxes so you have less to pay your employees. Pay more taxes so you have to raise your rates that your customers pay. What lunacy. What small-minded bitterness.

  • @carcabe These people are all striking at the branches. The root of the problem is the tax itself!

  • @carcabe How about pay your fair share of taxes and pay CEO's a little less. In 2010, Ivan G. Seidenberg received $18,166,006 in total compensation. By comparison, the median worker made $33,840 in 2010. Ivan G. Seidenberg made 536 times the median worker's pay. I am not bitter.

  • Our national motto needs to be:

“If you don’t make it here, you don’t sell it here”

When you hear politicians tell you that “protectionism doesn’t work” they’re absolutely right. It doesn’t work for the corporations that make their fortune depriving your children of a future.

This is the #1 market in the world. We, the American People, can have it anyway we want. We just need to stop voting for scumbags like Obama, Bush, Clinton.

    Ron Paul 2012

  • People need to stop voting for establishment candidates like Obama, Bush, Clinton, if they want to stop this race to the bottom. Obama is a Wall Streeter not a Main Streeter.

The economy will make a comeback when we bring the jobs home which were lost over the implementation of NAFTA and GATT.

We can’t organize workers to fight for higher wages and benefits if there are no jobs to fight for.

Ron Paul will cancel NAFTA and GATT bringing home millions of jobs.

  • More power to you people! Will participate!!

  • Look at the right-wingers defending corporations over people. I always wonder why any working person would support their politics, they're obviously pro-management and anti-worker.

  • Good for Verizon! I may switch over from Sprint to support them.

  • @blackberrybilly umm yeah thats taking money out of verizon and therefore these actual people.... probably not a good idea to boycott a company when its employees say please dont fire us seeing as then they have no actual money to pay the employees..

  • yea - we all know that the entire purpose of Verizon is to provide you jobs and benefits.

  • Bravo Verizon workers for standing up to corporate greed! The first step on the road back to rebuilding the middle class!

Verizon do the right thing, step up and take back your standing as a good corporate citizen. Give your workers a fair contract, return work you shipped overseas to the US and pay your fair share of taxes.

  • Unions want us to have to pay more money for service.

  • If you think you can do better, go find a job somewhere else. I will not participate in an effort to increase Verizon's cost of doing business. Only a sadist or a fool would get behind you folks. I want the lowest possible cell phone costs.

  • how can someone dislike this video?

  • @roseycheeks28 because they are deuches and troll around disliking everything..

  • The bottom line is that these corporations were given HUGE tax breaks to create jobs but FAIL to do so! Verizon keeps outsourcing work to other countries meanwhile it keeps getting their HUGE tax breaks! So, if they aren't creating GOOD jobs here in the USA, then why should they continue to keep getting tax breaks??? It's just plain old CORPORATE GREED! If they want to keep their tax breaks, then start creating FULLTIME jobs with benefits!

  • @face1reality “The bottom line is that these corporations were given HUGE tax breaks to create jobs but FAIL to do so!”

    Face reality.

Major corporations enjoy huge tax breaks because they own the criminals you vote for. Obama gets his money from Wall Street. He’s pimping organized labor, selling them out to corporate interests.

The definition of insanity is repeating the same behavior expecting a different result

Those who vote for establishment candidates are insane

    Ron Paul 2012

  • But @petesikoracwa, we don't want to hurt the costumers! Where would @lonewolf031 get his or her wolf in sheep's clothing costume?

  • Comment removed

  • Hey right wing trolls - You are morons. How about you just open up your wallet, find a corporate executive or a banker and hand some money to them?

  • @petesikoracwa I open my wallet & give them money all the time, then they open their magic sack of goodies & give me stuff I want, like phones.

  • This is more class warfare, and liberal bull crap abut fair share boloney.. Sure they have to take care of their employees but taxing more? its moronic and destroys job creation. This makes me want to buy a new Verizon phone, I think I will go soon and get a new phone with as many over the top features like the I-phone or the Droid Razor.

  • @lonewolf031 I agree. They pay a ton in taxes. More than any loser lib does in a lifetime. They've paid their share for the next thousand years.

  • @Joe12304 Libs have it all figured out they think that by taxing the companies they will hurt them.. But in reality all it does is hurt the costumers, and the employees because there won't be as much work to go around.

  • you idiots talk about corporate taxes as if taxing them will automatically equate to a better standard of living. you monkeys have no say as to where the taxes are to go. As far as rising costs of living, go blame your greedy politician and corrupt public institutions for inefficiently driving prices of what would be cheap services in a private market

  • It seems there are two separate issues here. One is Verizon following the tax code, and the other is a contract dispute. If the union has a problem with the contract talks then address that, but don't blame Verizon for following the tax code! Do you willingly pay more in income tax than what your 1040 says you owe? If not then you are a hypocrite for demanding Verizon do the same.

  • FUCK VERIZON. Corrupt bastards. Thumbs up for these fuckers!!!

  • @WorldMusicads Who is more corrupt, the thief or the victim defending against theft?

  • Why are you yelling at Verizon? It's the government's fault for letting them out of paying taxes.

  • @TheStig000 because they are exploiting the crap out of it to the point its hurting others.

  • @Indigjudgement Wait, what's hurting others? Them not forking over money to the government hurts others? Where do you think the government spends all of the tax money?

  • @TheStig000 oh this oughta be good. Idk, please do tell me?

  • @Indigjudgement I guess it can't hurt to do a google search for you. From wikipedia: 20% Social Security, 20% Defense, 23% Medicare, 19% "Discretionary", 12% Other, 6% Interest. Now, name one of those things that isn't a complete and utter failure and you win the argument. Medicare doesn't work. Defense doesn't defend, it offends. Social Security has made us completely insecure in our old age. The rest are special interests and operating costs. Even if taxes were spent wisely, it's still theft.

  • @TheStig000 Oh really? just one? Okay, Medicare, it does work. The reason why you say it doesn't work is 1 or 2 reason. Either its because you hear it from others complaining its no good and you just jump on the bandwagon, or two you've never actually been in a situation where you had nothing to turn too but the medicare plan to help you; I've been there, & it was there to help me out. You can find others like me. Yes, its not perfect but its something to be worked on & it does help.

  • @Indigjudgement I disagree, but let's assume that Medicare is great. It's efficient and effective. It's still funded by tax dollars. Tax is still theft. If Medicare was funded legitimately I'd have no problem with it, but when you rely on stolen money it will eventually become corrupt as all hell. (It already is, btw.)

  • @TheStig000 I disagree. I actually think the concept of Tax is great, but is not being used properly. This is how the idea of Tax I think was meant to work:

I get my pay check of $100. The government gets 30% (so I have $70 to do w/e w/ it) to fix the road so i can drive on, build schools, hospitals etc. the following year, they send a %age back to me cause they didn't use it...etc. (hence tax return).

As I said before, people tend to exploit everything in the wrong way. sadly.

  • @Indigjudgement Well I have nothing against you wanting to pay taxes, but I shouldn't have to if I don't want to. I wish it worked the way you said it does but it NEVER has worked that way. Not in the history of man kind has it worked that way. Do you really think that will change anytime soon or can we finally conclude that it's a bad way of doing things?

  • @TheStig000 My honest response, I have no idea. It's worth hoping for though.

  • @Indigjudgement Utopia is always worth hoping for. But let's be honest and realistic and brave and admit when we fail. Time to try something new, this idea is over 2000 years old. We've tested it literally to death countless times. Thanks for your time.

  • @TheStig000 apparently you dont use the roads? never went to school? dont need any form or police or fire protection? Have your own army? Generate your own electricity? Completely self sufficient? If you use any of these, and you arent paying taxes, you have commited theft

  • @benny5789 Nope, because tax is theft. Say I stole $100 from you but I told you that I spent it on charity. Would you be happy? And more precisely, imagine that I also told you that I kept about 80% of it for "operational costs." Stealing from the government is hardly an injustice.

  • @TheStig000 there complaining about how varizon is not paying taxes and still verizon wants to take there jobs away and not treat them fairly

  • @TheStig000 It's called "lobbying." Work it out.

  • Corporate taxation is stupid, since it taxes money that is most likely to be reinvested in more capital, which creates jobs. No other country taxes corporate income at near the rate the US does because that is where jobs come from. They tax money that individuals take OUT of the company.

Also, "destroy the jobs" is disingenuous. If you stop hiring a plumber, are you "destroying his job"? A "job" is just an exchange. Verizon wants to stop dealing with you. Go fuck yourselves.

  • Instead of paying dues you guys should by stock.

  • Verizon go to hell

  • @BadKid95US Ok, so they go to hell and all these hard working people lose their jobs!! You idiot...

  • @never96 Not literally u idiot i said that to show my anger use your brain i don

t even believe in hell or heaven so shut up and smd

  • I been a teamster for 15 yrs. and this is why we organize!! For a fair wage and living, but I sure as hell don't want the company I work for to pay more taxes. What the fuck is wrong with you people? How does Verizon paying more taxes make your life better? So you want more money, the feds want more money, and you guys wonder why they are outsourcing your jobs!!

  • Campanies should pay their share of taxes and no we don't need unions anymore. Both sides are greedy.

  • This kind of Ad is worth not only clicking, but watching and learning about whats being said. Well Done! I came here just to say this!
