@badtown88 They didn't have huge PA systems back then. You'll notice in all the old live Beatles footage they are doing everything with ZERO personal monitors, no huge speaker set ups. Playing in stadiums wasn't even done until The Beatles did it at Shea Stadium in '65. They pretty pioneered stadium rock. I can tell you, it's tough to play and sing live with no monitors with no ability to hear anything you're doing.
