So sad that this movie will be overlooked at by the Academy of Motion Picture Arts because this was one of the best movies i've seen this year. Maybe if they would have casted George Clooney or Brad Pitt to play Petey Greene then it would have gotten all the Oscar buzz.

I agree with you Don Cheadle did an amazing job in Talk To Me but I think becuase this role was VERY VERY different than most roles he had taken on before, maybe they thought his performance was too cocky. I want to see this film and I'm gonna rent the film. It looks better than Hotel Rwanda anyway. Don will win an Oscar one day.

p.s. Hotel Rwanda was a spectacular film that was extremely daring and soul-shaking. if you weren't extremely moved by that film, that should tell you something.

Don Cheadle is an extremely well respected actor in the business and he did a great job in the film, but because the story isn't well known, the movie will suffer. it's hard to do a biographical piece if people don't know who the movie is about. i honestly think that people just don't know petey greene's story.  there was nothing "wrong" with Cheadle's performance, it was just different.

TO CHRISIANGUYMWC1. If Hotel Rwanda was eye opening to you, then definately watch this movie, and study what was done in the 60's and 70's to make the USA what we are enjoying TODAY. They laid the road, man! They laid the road!

This isn't a movie I'd usually watch, but since Don Cheadle is in it, I'd definitely give it a look. He's one of the best actors out there, though he doesn't get the credit a lot of the time. Hotel Rwanda was one of the most eye-opening movies to me.

I went to see the premiere of the film it is awesome. Taraji P. Henson character Vernell had me crackin up. Don Cheadle delivered another knock out performance and the break out actor Chiwetel Ejiofor that played the character Dewey Hughes was da bomb. Y'all gotta go see dis movie. (Translation "You all must see this film" lol)

Everyone has GOT to see this movie!!! This is an amazing true story and everyone should know the history of Petey Greene's part in contributing to the needed change in America during the 1960's. Thank You Petey. And Thank You Don Cheadle for playing him. I can't wait to see this movie!
