one last comment... about HALO/HAHO, you don't have to be an elite jumper, you just have to have a few jumps in. One of our jumpmasters is a 26 year old dude who's been in the army for about 4-5 years now... he has I think around 30 jumps under his belt,
i know for a while they were talking about getting rid of the jump role because in a combat role it's not something we use alot of anymore. I'm currently serving with 3PPCLI (Para Coy) in the Canadian Army and the jump role is still a big part of what we do. This video is great!
This will be my Present to me after I grad from college. with afew months before I go to the Air force....I want to earn my ww2 jump wings...and do it the way they did it. Hooah!
Well I believe the Airborne will go far into the warfare tech. Now we got different kinds of Airborne such as rapelling from helicopters. It wouldn't suprise me if eventually they get in the future drop pods like in Halo. Lol, but still it could happen.
Its to help avoid hitting the plane and stuff like that. the best possible way to exit. I personally find it cool how they check over each other before going for safety
Great vid to show the legs of the service, what the guys in the Air did!!! 5- stars AirBorne will always impress me with what they had created and the standards they set!

Its not HELO jumps what would you say that stand for. Its HALO High Altitude Low Opening.
And its only high experienced paratroopers that get to do that.
