  • I use to be a member of a mennonite church, still believe in alot of the same bible beliefs but I married in the baptist church and my husband does not wish to be mennonite. Please watch my videos, they are of my daughters and I singing accapela.Your videos are a blessing!

  • Look like great people! Sorry they're wasting their lives for an invisible man that doesn't exist.

  • @Diddlen not so, He does exist. Go read the Bible before you really decide to totally doubt.

  • @ShushLorraine I have, it's more fiction than Harry potter

  • @Diddlen There is no such thing as an invisible man that doesn't exist. I think you are mistakening that for God? (Who is not invisible or a man, and who does exist).

  • @eurasianchica god is visible? where/when did you see it? Any proof? Pictures?

  • @Diddlen Ah, and do you have proof that He is invisible?

God is not visible nor invisible. Those are qualities ascribed to creation, not the creator. However, God did appear for us in visible form as Jesus Christ, who I assure you was not invisible. No photos of him, but I don't have photos of Aristotle either and I can assure you that by the quality of being human, Jesus was visible.

  • @eurasianchica Of course I don't have proof he's invisible. You can't prove something is anything if it doesn't exist. So, you're denying that Aristotle existed? Wow. You are really reaching here. I can assure you that the Flying Spaghetti Monster is real also. No photos but I can assure you. You just have to BELIEVE.

  • @Diddlen That was a rhetorical question. Of course you don't have proof that He is invisible, because as I said (in)visibility is a quality ascribed to creation, not the creator. I am not denying that Aristotle existed, in fact, I am saying the opposite. You don't need scientific proof to know something existed. There are no experiments you can do to know that Aristotle existed, yet, you know he did. (I don't have any photos, though!)

  • Even the chickadees were singing to beat the band. Nice attempt!!

  • @hungariandreamer she wa ssinging and she may have medical problems that make her unable to stand for long periods of time!

  • Wow, when I was 6 my dad started attending a mennonoite church, we never joined but lived among and like them for three years. This brings back alot of memmories, mennonites are good people even if you don't understand them you can always count on them for just about anything.

  • wow no offence, but that was some horrible singing..relax a little then try singing!

  • @hotpinklove91 The mic was close to one who didn't have as good a voice. I heard some much better voices in the background.

  • @daffodyllady its no tabout the voices its about the fact that they are singing praises to god!!

  • @hotpinklove91 That's right! We need to sing like this more!!

  • May God shed his blessings among you, and your family. Peace be with you always.

  • I and my family admires and believes in your life style, in your God dedication! God Bless You.

  • God Bless You dear Children of God!!

  • hi my name is greg i love yall singing

  • Yes, this is beautiful.

  • People think this is beautiful?

  • Such a beautiful video. My wife and I had talked at one point about visiting a Mennonite church, when we lived in Kentucky (my native state) but now we live in Massachusetts and I can't see to find a Mennonite church in the western part of the state.

  • My 2cents about Mennonites (former Atheist and Catholic...):They put the rest of society to shame. They actually take the time to teach their children values, responsibility and the joy of simple pleasures. The kids rarely misbehave b/c they are not constantly in need of stimulation like. The kids arent in front of the TV or computer to be taught the world's version of values, responsibility and pleasure.

  • @carolinelandry75 I have 5 children-2 of which were exposed to the Mennonite culture throughout a good portion of their lives, and 3 who were not.I have rarely ever had to discipline those 2 children b/c they were mild-mannered, obedient and thoughtful children.I cannot say the same for the other 3 children who were raised on video games and movies and rock music.

  • @carolinelandry75 They could teach a great deal about marriage. My husband is not a believer, and they have given me fantastic counsel to love and respect my husband despite our differences b/c God often brings the unbeliever to faith through the believing spouse. I've seen the respectful way the Mennonite husband and wives treat one another; the humility, sacrifice and gentleness. Please show me a better example of marriage in the world.

  • @carolinelandry75 Somebody has seen sinful humanity in a Mennonite church and so naturally the whole Mennonite church is no good. I've got news for you - you don't find things better outside of the Mennonite church either. Please, show me the church full of sinless people before telling everyone that Mennonites are druggies and beaters etc..

  • @carolinelandry75 Their dress isn't "stylish" by worldly standards- that is the point. The world moves in the direction of dressing half-naked and women dressing like men, this denomination took a stand not to move in that direction at all and maintained a godly form of dress.

  • @carolinelandry75 The cape dress is functional/practical and comfortable at the same time, and meets the biblical principals of modesty and simplicity. The real sin is in having a wardrobe worth thousands of dollars but with no godly worth whatsoever

  • @carolinelandry75 Women pay 10 times what a cape dress costs for an outfit with a small fraction of the amount of material. There is no thought given to how one dresses - everyone dresses to please themselves or the opposite sex and not to please God, and many who do attempt to dress modestly often use the world's standards and so ultimately fail anyway.

  • @carolinelandry75 if one is addicted to amusing, noisy, fast-food, gotta-have-it-now, pleasure-seeking, excess-in-all-things, wasteful society then by all means Christianity is going to be boring. No one who left a plain church for these amusements got something better in the end - they got a counterfeit. Christ's teachings are not fulfilling to the flesh. What about cross-bearing and denying self?

  • @carolinelandry75 There are not many plain congregations in the world - they are unpopular - b/c it doesn't satisfy the flesh enough for the majority to follow. There are plenty of other churches out there that will water down the teachings and make the worship experience more enjoyable, but you won't find the "few there be that find it" (the way that leads to life) in those churches. That is not the narrow way.

  • @carolinelandry75 The world hates true followers of Christ just like they hated Christ when He walked the earth. Christians are dead to the world; "pilgrims and strangers" on the earth. That's not "fun" by the world's standards, but I've had the world's idea of fun for almost 40 years. There is no greater, or lasting joy than serving and worshipping God the way He intended. My pleasure is not found in a party here, a drink there, a movie tonight, an extravagant meal tomorrow...

  • Respond to this video... ... In between those things you will still toil and struggle and be unhappy. Not only will I not lose peace and joy during the drugery, illness, adversity.., but I will not need to seek after those "fun" experiences in order to find my peace and joy. Living for Christ is far more fulfilling. The world can have it's fun. I was dead when I was seeking after those things. My life is in Christ now. I pray others might know this joy.

    Peace~

  • I live near a bunch of mennonites, they are very nice people.

  • @synaps13 yes they are . I have a few friends who are progressive mennonites . they are very friendly .

  • people are talking stuff about mennonites getting arrested you know ive been going to the holdeman mennonite church for a long time and there are hundreds of different kinds of mennonites and if you actually decided to go get to know th real truth behing those stories most of them are normal dressed up like mennonites because they think they will have a better chance to smuggle accross the border and for the ones that are real mennonites we all make mistake. mennonite is just a religion

  • Then they all went off to smuggle British Columbian marijuana across the border. Creepy bastards.

  • @iamslknick78 what what do you mean by that?

  • @jessejmorris2nd What I mean is that mennonites are drug smugglers.

  • @iamslknick78 just to let you know I go to that type of church for the last year and we are not drug smugglers so watch how you judge pepole please before you think it!

  • @jessejmorris2nd Well for a group of people who "are not drug smugglers", mennonites sure do get arrested by DHS at DEA an awful lot for smuggling drugs.

  • @iamslknick78 may I ask where that group is from cause it may seam that you may be talking about another group like in the country mexico cause no one from my church commuinty had never been areested so just to let you know you can not be puting judgements on all........ of us cause that is one rule of the church no drugs or alchoale allowed.

  • lol thank god they don't have wealth other wise they would be like slaves too most of us in inner cities are like slaves paying tax and etc all the chaos we have to through and that's because we want it and the elite love to manipulate it but for the amish there isn't much to take or give them.

  • @bxccapricorn A lot of Amish and Mennonites are very rich. They just live frugally and simply, and save their money to give to the church. It's really possible for anyone to live like they do, if we're willing to sacrifice some of the conveniences we "have to" have.

  • Amish and other non catholics fought for 500 years in Europe with catholic church which was at that time like USA is today in Iraq and Afganistan.

  • Menno simons

    Was the anti Christ ???

  • may the lord blow my sac... Amen..

  • beautiful voices and thnkyou i finaly found a religion who is not pending their comments

  • very nice and

    beautiful!!!!

    where is this place?

  • im damn proud to be mennonite haha even tho i dont exactly go to the extreme as some it is still my culturee1 antyone with me on that!!!!!!

  • I used to be Mennonite but I switched to just non denominational, I love them but I could't take it anymore. God is not boring, this was boring. sorry but it was. I love the Lord but I don't want to live a dead life in Christ.

  • I married an ex Mennonite man and I agree this is to much for me!

  • @TexasToast09

"entertainment" does not equate eternal life. Once you've had a good dose of "entertainment theology..." you'll want to go back. Do yourself a favor and read the works of Menno Simons so you can have a clear understanding of what the Mennonite movement is all about. Its not about the "boring" hymns or clothes...it is about a true and dedicated life to Christ in Repentance.

  • @tainorebelde1 God is entertaining! I don't know where you go herd he wasn't! I was not saying I was not entertained, but the this, this was not feeding my eternal hunger for God. I would go to church hear the word and then leave. Every Sunday for years. I was not living for God, just praying prayers and singing hims that I had memorized from do it so much, no feeling or emotion. Same thing Every Sunday. and I would rather get my guidance from the Bible not a book. God is full of life.

  • @TexasToast09

    Like I said...Read Menno Simons.

  • @TexasToast09 I used to be Evangelical and became something like Mennonite. My faith until then was so dead, I'd go to church for the entertainment value, clap and sing and have a good time but not learn or have any desire to grow. I still go to the same church despite believing and dressing plain. This singing... to me it isn't boring at all, it's beautiful. Something about an entire church singing acapella is so worshipful and true. It makes me long for when I can join a plain church.

  • God bless you brothers and sisters in Christ!

  • Lovely...

  • I don't know anything about these people, but their simplicity and sobriety in singing is Godly. A true christian is viewed by the carnal mind as outwardly dead, though inwardly shining in Christ.

  • I don't know if Saul contradicts Jesus, but I see your point. What I will say though is that at one time I believed Paul made practical sense of Jesus' teachings; showed us how to apply them to our times. Of course, that was a long time ago - but if God's ways don't change... The Mennonite/(Anabaptist) wayswork**for those who are dead to the world and alive in Christ**. That has always been my belief. But I don't think God is limited to the Mennonite "charism". God is boundless.

  • do you have a personal hatred to these people?

  • Comment removed

  • WHAT DO YOU BELIEVE?

  • @dakotagerman1 what do you mean that they are hypocrites

  • @dakotagerman1 You're one to talk about xenophobes, although I suppose it takes one to know one.

  • @pibeagles

Not only xenophobes but child beaters.

These people spank their children, which is sadomasochism. They are perverts of the worst kind!

  • @dakotagerman1 What I meant is that you are a xenophobe. They only spank their children when absolutely necessary--my family isn't amish or mennonite, but I got spanked a few times when I was a kid and I know that those time I had been really bad and I deserved it as punishment. Frankly the amish and mennonite people that I have met are not at all xenophobic, unlike you.

  • @pibeagles

OK Well, then. How do you like spanking adults when "absolutely necessary"? Even the Bible says a rod is for the back of fools. Adults are who are implied by this. When's the last time you saw an adult spanked for being "really bad" and "deserving it" as punishment.

What makes you think I'm a xenophobe? Do you even know what you're talking about??

  • @dakotagerman1 A xenophobe is someone who is scared of foreigners or people outside of their culture. You're a prime example of one. And anyone who is sent to jail is essentially being spanked via the courts, although I must admit I was never spanked for anything illegal.

  • @pibeagles

I'm not scared of these yokels (although they are scary meaning creepy).

That's such faulty reasoning about someone being "spanked" by the courts when being sent to jail.

  • @dakotagerman1 I mean it in the sense of them being punished. I was being punished when I was being spanked, they are being punished when they are sent to jail.

You obviously have never met any amish or mennonites personally or you wouldn't call them scary and you just admitted to being scared of them which would in fact make you a xenophobe since they come from outside your culture.

  • @dakotagerman1 Well friend, I think the bible is pretty plain about how to bring up your children, and as for spanking adults, they are responsible to God, so I imagine their fisical punishment will be in the form of hellfire, but then if you dont believe the bible, then I dont know why you would be visiting here, unless deep down inside you know what's true... Nice vid, you all sing beautifully.

  • @dakotagerman1 I am so sorry . I will be praying for you .

  • @sailormoon114

Actually, you should pray that these Mennonites we see in this video can get some singing lessons, some marriage counseling, and some parenting skills.

  • @sailormoon114

Also, don't forget to pray that these Mennonites (in this video) can get some fashion tips.

  • @dakotagerman1 What is wrong with the way they dress ? I dont understaqnd . They prefer to be plain and modest. Why marriage counseling and parentign skill what makes you say they need these things ?

  • @dakotagerman1 how is a smack on the butt a horrible perverted thing. i don't enjoy spanking my kids, but as a last result........... beating a child is horrible, i agree. but not correcting a child is ten times worse. i think i love them more, if i raise them to be decent people with the knowledge of right and wrong. now, i would be a lousy mennonite, i'm not a conformist. but, the ones i have met, seem perfectly lovely people.

  • @dakotagerman1 Not diciplining children is what's causing the decay of morals and respect for elders in America, I do NOT advocate beating a child but a swat on the butt with a belt is just what the doctor prescribed.

  • @dakotagerman1 Naaaaah , I'm not into perversions but when your little "snowflake" ends up on drugs and tells you that she/he hates your guts you'll realize I was right and you were wrong.

  • Good Luck!

  • the only diffrence is the mennonites use light and drive cars.. but the amish don't, they are more strict with there believes!!.. and these are mennonites! don't you see the cars in the back ground!..

  • what's Amish? are they different than mennonites? but the title says they are...
