wow.. this is really interestin'.I have to ask.. HOW did you learn to do this?Is there any literature out there that would show a nepophyte like me how to do this? Moreover, would an SK-5 work?
actually there is nothing you can teach about it. ok, i have the advantage that i learned electronics-engineer. But when you can handle a soldering-iron it's not that difficult. just open in up, short-circuit some of the legs on the larger ICs and wait for a result. then solder a switch or a pot between these points.
There are a crap load of great books on the subject... check out reed ghazala's "Circuit-Bending" - Nicolas Collins' "Handmade Electronic Music" - or Craig Anderton's "Electronic Projects for Musicians" those are all great places to start....
I literally sat open mouthed throughout the whole of this. Absolutely astonishing. Well done man, keep these coming! I'm off to ebay to re-spark my love of electronics.. :)
Not at all. It's just the "Disco-Beat" from the SK-1 running in background. On the second half of the vid i sampled a glass-sound and ran it through the Demo-Song.
amazing!

I just noticed something- the one with the high staccato beats is used on a Homestar runner intro with fireworks, but sped up. It's no longer used.
