  • LOOOL awesome! that part at 1:10 is also in FT Island's Missing You!! :D

(mainly why i came here LOL)

  • excelso!!!

  • Bravo to Gil Shaham!!! this 4season is one of the best rendition amongst many other violinists with Orpheus Chamber Orchestra... check out his performance "cinema paradiso"... you would instantly notice it was performed by the same violinist... that i called it "a style of its own"....

  • winter it's just the best...doesn'tt matter what second orminute it is.... it is just hte best

  • So amazing, i mean how you not like this, it's Genius music, wish this was in the charts instead of R&B

  • Another fantastic rendition . . . thank you so much!

  • Definitely the best of the four seasons. I find this mostly because it is the only one that sounds different. The other three sound too much alike for me.

  • great ! so beautiful...

  • 1:22 - 1:25 mhmmmm.....

great all - music and pictures as whole

  • This piece literally moves me to tears.

  • 1:22 - 1:25 I felt an orgasm!!!

  • @TuEternaPesadilla LMFAO me too!

  • Gotta say, this song kicked my ass. Especially this version here..

    ..Gil Shaham was it?

  • LIVE VIVALDI...FOR EVER....

  • very nicely done !!!!

  • a piece from heaven

  • Great Music Video ....

    I love Winter

  • pity they don't sing at all

  • best one yet! true, he is wonderful!

  • this music makes me shudder....

  • fabulous! i'm just sorry my headphones don't allow me to hear all that seems to be in this interpretation.

  • 我認為小提琴是最能表達人類情感的樂器

  • sounds like a horror song at 1st

  • @Alucardthedeadone The horror and death of winter perhaps?

  • @AsSomedayItMayHappen yes 1000% agree.

  • @AsSomedayItMayHappen I don't know..... It has an unsettling feeling, but it is also so wild and chaotic. I feel that it is almost joyous in its outburst. I don't believe Vivaldi meant it to be about death or horror. Perhaps the sheer force of nature contained by a blizzard? Mother nature's power and beauty?

  • @South4TheSummer I don't see how death isn't separate from any of those things you said. I don't want to have a philisophical debate about whether death can be beautiful, but when I listen to this there are parts that speak 'death' to me; and what season is more representative of death than winter?

  • @AsSomedayItMayHappen we shall have to agree to disagree then. To me it speaks of danger, foreboding. Then the key becomes more major and resolves. I understand why you would think it was about dying.

  • Лучший!!!Город похож на Российский))

  • masterpiece

  • This is Fritz Kreisler, and by far the best interpretation of this piece that exists.

  • OMG. This is wonderful. Gil Shaham is a terrific violinist. I can see my violin teacher at 1:22 Eriko Sato ^_^ Huray~

  • OMG♥

  • OMG♥

  • It's not a piano, it's a "clavecin", (we say like that in french)

Yeah, it's the best! in 1:10 (try to listen FT Island - Missing You)

  • Very winter-esque.

  • I've goosebumps from this performance.

  • at 1:27 i see a piano but i dont hear it?

  • @Kuerbis626 its a harpsichord. its a keyboard instrument too, but it doesn't hammer the strings, it picks them like in a guitar

  • Gil's amazing

  • FinaleFantasy, Gil Shaham is the soloist

  • Mm phenom, I love it!

  • Magnífico montaje! Pone los pelos de punta, genial!

  • これは秀逸!!

  • Wonderful video and glorious music. They work very well together. Thanks for posting

  • Ah, this song is one of my favorites among the classical genre.

Dj Taka's modernized version of it, V, is enjoyable to listen to also but this song is the real deal.

  • Esecuzione perfetta!!!!!!!!!!!!!

  • 1:20 Lol what's with the funny face?? haha

  • I agree. This very nice interpretation indeed. Also the quality of the recording is good.

  • Who's the soloist? He plays way more in tune than most people play this piece.

  • I must agree with you FinaleFantasy, this is by far my favorite version of Winter.

The soloist is Gil Shaham (I think it was recorded on 1995). He plays the "Countess Polignac" - a 1699 Stradivarius.

  • it's me, andrew. thank you very much. you can see more on my channel. subscribe please.

  • this is a joke btw

  • @FinaleFantasy i thint its Sarasate

  • Fritz Kreisler. I agree, his interpretation of Vivaldi is beyond exceptional.

  • He's Gil Shaham !! The fabulous ! ;) I love his version.

  • @FinaleFantasy IT IS I!!!

  • @FinaleFantasy it's Gil Shaham and yes, he plays this very clean and timely precise.

  • @FinaleFantasy It's Gil Shaham when he was younger.

  • @FinaleFantasy This beautiful piece is played by Gil Saham (:

  • @FinaleFantasy Winter is a little to fast and is be very challenging to play, but this soloist pulls it off. There are are a few other videos in youtube but the soloists there are not quite in tune. Very good ear to have picked it up.

  • is cold here now. lol

  • I'm pretty sure this was on simon shamas power of art..

  • who is the concertmaster and conductor in this piece? The dynamics are amazing, definitely on of the best interpretations I've ever heard

  • nice video ;)

  • Winter is the best! Especially in 1:10!

  • It's sure, but the preparation makes this part enhaced.

  • @namytrebil that's the heaven! :D

  • @namytrebil you're right

  • I like the dynamics:]

  • imagine this in a rock stile.....

  • Atvance does a cool version

  • excelenttt !!

  • nicely done!

  • Bravo!

  • que ciudad es??

  • feliz de escucharlo!!

  • I loved this song de verdad es increible

  • Did you feel that? Amazing... that's just beautiful... made me want to cry and be so joyfull at the same time... God bless Vivaldi

  • Зимата на нашето незнание, зимата на нашата летаргия...а после всичко ще започне отначало. Само нас няма да ни има. Или ще ни има, но няма да помним.

  • very unique style! Very bright for a piece that's usually so dark.

  • Excuse me, but in my opinion the piece is not dark nor bright in excess, but precise in an equilibrium of what Vivaldi wanted to communicate. The usually bad renderings are the big problem. I permit myself to suggest to hear the renderings of Vivaldi's works in general, and of Le Quatro Staggioni in particular, in the very first place those of I Musici with Felix Ayo, then, of I Solisti de Zagreb, in the Yugoslavian era, and nowadays Jordi Saval and Le Concert des Nations. Greetings.

  • I've heard quite a few recordings of this piece myself, and all I'm suggesting is that this interpretation is simply happier and "brighter" sounding. I love these pieces myself and I love playing them, vivaldi was a real master of compostition. The piece if you listen without human interpretation (midi for example) is as you said neither exsecivly dark or bright.

  • yeah i go on youtube and try really hard to seem intelligent too

  • Who are you referring to when you say that? I haven't been part of any conversations on this video I was just curious who you're talking about. I'd like to find out whether you really know someone is "trying" to sound intelligent in their comments, or you don't have the vocabulary to comprehend what that particular person typed, therefore insult him/her. I honestly don't mean to be a troll, I was just wondering :D

  • Music makes a happy person happier, and thouse who are sad more sorrowful. Music awakes our true emotions, and that is it's greatest power. Love Vivaldi. Video is great!

  • Beautifully done

  • Gil Shaham

  • great violinist!!!

  • i agree.

  • so do i. omg lets make a chain of people that agrees... lmfao!!!

i do like his work though.

  • I agree.

  • magic

  • as do eye

  • Who are they, please?

  • they are the two girls in a cup band. i swear it, just look up for one of their videos.

  • Mi amigo San Diego-Mexico 04,besides your wacky sense of humor,no offense at all,I wanted to know because the rapidity in their rendering, usually called 'tempo, was good. Vivaldi is generally played either too fast or too slow for letting shine totally his quality. This group is a little on the fast side, but comes near to the golden rule stablished by "I Musicci" unsurpassable rendering with Felix Ayo. Also, this group has a noticeable good nuance and performs truly in concert. Saludos, compa.

  • no its gil shaham who plays this one

  • @juskisiberiano

One of the violins is played by Vasko Vasilev.

  • @gergister

No it's mistake. He isn't. Sorry for multiple posts.

  • amazing

    ...

  • Which string set is playing the?
