  • they should definatly go back and re-record/ re-master this album

  • @GH2mainiac I dont think so, that kind of sound is what makes this album so special.

  • Cont'd

This is ridiculous. Shut up & enjoy. If you don't like Chevelle & prefer Tool, shut up & go watch a Tool video. & vice versus.

  • tool and chevelle should tour. it would pretty good.

  • I miss MTV X. :(

  • This vid kinda gives me the creeps. The claymation is...just strange and creepy. Gives me a creepy feeling.

  • I've always wondered what those crawly things are at 1:59

  • I'm a fan of Chevelle don't get me wrong, but I think they could have built a better song around the beginning riff

  • this video is so shit and stupid, chevelle are obviously much better band now, how were they so crap...

  • This video kicks ass, what the fuck are you talking about?

  • if you only knew the time and dedication it takes to make this type of animation... and it wasn't actually chevelle who made the video.

  • q buena cancion y buen video conchamimare

  • ooooo amo este disco con este tema di mi primer veso xDDD

  • jejej si es buena la rola pero chamo Beso c scrib cn B larga xD y q lindo lo q dijiste xD

  • awsome video chevelle sexii

  • how is it sexii

  • tool is one of his big influences and thats probably how this video came to be

  • totally looks like adam jones made this music video.

  • no offense but adam would have done a much better job. .

  • yea but you cant hold everyone to that high standard. obviously there can be only one tool lol

  • i love all their albums

  • Wow, even this video reminds me of Tool : O

  • They base themselves on Tool and Helmet.

  • Why bicker like bitches. Chevelle, tool they both are good. Don't like don't listen

  • lol video but super song remember it from road rash :D

  • Road Rash for play station one??

  • Comment removed

  • yup it played in road rash from PS one that was some fine game with some fina music there i wont forget it

  • chevelle rocks period

  • There best album is Wonder What's Next. There second best was Vena Sera and Point #1 was their 3rd. Their worst is This Type of Thinking but all chevelle albums are good. Better than a few of the so called bands that are on the charts today.

  • i hav to say point #1 is there best album

  • well one of chevelle inspirations was tool

so that could a reason for the similar videos

  • Even though Tool is superior to all, Chevelle still kicks ass!!!

  • @quickerthansilver I was just about to say that lol.

  • @CORNHOL0

Hey look, The guy JUST turned the comments back on. They were off before because people kept bitching about chevelle and tool. Let's just stop talking about TOOL at all.

This is A CHEVELLE video not a tool video

  • ok Tool didn't invent stop-motion so stop saying they copied off Tool, ideas have to come from somewhere.

  • i agree.i recall primus using stop-motion for videos before tool.

  • I miss MTV X nothing but rock music videos now there just reality shows

  • wow i didnt even know that this song had a vid

  • Dude, all of CheVelle's albums frickin' own. I swear I remember watching this a long time ago.

The vid def reminds me of Tool, but that's cool.

  • This video reminds me of something Tool would do. I hated Chevelle's first cd but the albums since are the shit!

  • i am going to have to respectfully disagree with you on this one. Point #1 is there best album, they are hit and miss after that album

but agian this is my opion, and you have yours

  • yueah ia agree, i love chevelle lol

  • Tool blows Chevelle out of the water, but at least Chevelle is better than almost all of the garbage on the radio.

  • Chevelle have sited Tool as a huge influence on their music, I mean Pete sings very similiarly to Maynard Keenan, imo, this video is a tribute to that influence. But fuck ya Tool are better on a musical level to CheVelle, but I enjoy both of them immensely, could listen to both all day every day ^^

  • errr. stop motion

    my bad

  • please... as if tool invented claymation

  • awesome vid!

  • inspired by TOOL not copied.

  • I wish I could be as stupid as some of these people who have no idea what an inspiration is

  • This video was made years ago you fags should have been arguing if they copied tool then not now.Your wasteing your own time.

  • Chevelle definietly doesn't copy tool in the vocal style or in this music video. (Sarcasm)

  • I love Tool, but just because Chevelle likes stop motion, it's not copying Tool... why does Tool own stop motion videos?

  • great video and song. i absolutely loooooveeeee the guitar in it. and who cares if its like Tool's bands copy video ideas like that all the time get over it.

  • Very similar to Tool music videos...

  • you're right one of the things that the people took to compared from tool it was the mia video, the other thing is the pete's voice he have the same class of vocal cords than maynard

  • I have not heard this song in a very hot minute!

  • That´s crazy!

  • Awesome,5 Stars !!!

  • I love chevelle, I used to think the lead singer was so cute lol...

  • I agree, GET IT RIGHT!!!!!

  • Get it right, or pay the price!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

  • I'm made of peanuts, not of shells, u scumbag!!!!!!

  • check out my vid for Comfortable Liar =]

    watch?v=bk_tH7GQwo8

  • gREAT sONG!!!!

tHIS sONG iS iN tHE xBOX gAME

    ---PROJECT GOTHAM---

    IS gOOD!!

  • I know it's sooo cool!

  • I have always loved♥ chevelle and I heard this song in the 90's and have always loved it.

  • I wonder if the guitarist from TOOL did the stop motion animation on this for Chevelle. I know he has done many for his own band.

  • i was wondering bout it too

  • this so much like a Tool music video with all the wierd scenes

  • I just had to google half an hour with stuff like "beating heart" and "baby" because I could remember the name of this song...

    I love this video! thanks!

  • no problem. Glad you found it =)

  • Jonathan Richter made the stop motion videos for both this song and The Insyderz song "He Has Made Me Glad" while the bands were on Squint Entertainment. The other one is also on Youtube.

  • hahahahahahaha... this video is very funny, so is the people taking this video seriously...

  • you can't be that stubborn, it's obvious that Chevelle is deeply influenced by tool. I bet you 10/10 people who listen to tool turned on this video and immediatly thought of "sober" or "prison sex". I know they are very different bands, but Chevelle is a lot like Tool especially in their early years.

  • every band gets its inspiration from somewhere

  • wow chevelle isn't that good at all :P

  • your pretty stupid then

  • wow ur a faggot

  • I agree with ThrashAndCrash. You sir are an idiot for thinking that the so called band TOOL are the masters. Chevelle ups them by 1,000,000,000,000,000,000,000,000,000 times more. Sorry you obviously don't know what you are talking about. Leave the youtube community at once. Or i will inform the youtube police and you will get thrown out. Now i asked you nicely. LEAVE AT ALL COSTS. NOW!!!!!

  • wow are we listening to the same fucking band here? Have you even heard Tool. Give me 5 reasons why they're better instead of just saying they are and then I'll leave. Other wise shut your inbred trap and grow the fuck up.

  • wow just so you guys know i made the coment "wow ur a faggot" to vertigopills for saying "chevelle really isnt good at all" i didnt say anything about tool...tool is an amazing band

  • Even if they're "copying tool" Chevelle is way better.

  • oooo, mistake there buddy, Tool is better, I would listen to CheVelle more then I'd listen to Tool, but even I understand that Tool are the masters.

  • Either way, any argument between which bands are better comes down to personal opinion. Mine happens to be chevelle.

Its like convincing a 12 year old the simple plan isnt metal. you just cant do it.

  • You can, it just takes a lot of corporal punishment =p

  • adam jones did make this video!!!!!

  • this is a cheap copy of tool the video and the style of the singer is like maynard´s style

  • two totally different bands man stop makin that fucking comparison

  • I love tool, have for years, and you can't even compare chevelle to them. tool's much darker in the way their music sounds, creepier almost. Chevelle isn't so much creepy as more emotional, in a way.

  • run faster clay man! you have a baby!

  • if maynard and adam jones shit and it rolled around in bubblegum itd look feel smell and sound like this.

  • and then I'd make you eat that shit and see if you improve any.

  • TOOL! I remember Tool in this video! hahaha

  • It's not Tool. It's Chevelle. They copied the stop motion animation style from Tool, but it's very cheap looking and not nearly as elaborate as Adam Jones' work with Tool videos.

  • could not agree more

  • do you know how many people have been doing stop motion for years? Tool didn't start it. I love that band, but never say Chevelle is copying them. Yeah, this isn't one of their best vids, but it's not a copy.

  • this isn't tool read the title

  • They obviously know it isn't Tool

Why the hell would someone leave a comment that it was the band in the video in the video?

  • Hello Tool. I mean Chevelle. Hehe.

  • screw you

  • wow. Fail. It was a comment on the similarities of the bands, especially older Chevelle. Most people would've considered it a compliment.

  • Im made of peanuts not of shells. Greatest line of any songer...ever lol

  • After 55 seconds - IT'S STILL THERE!

  • I Just placed a comment on youtube for a music video that is almost ten years old!

  • Jesus-catch the baby!

  • Good song

  • love this song deffinately one of chevelles best!!!

  • me gusta el video, pero siento que no va con el tema, ni con la música de chevelle.

  • awsome song but the vid is a little weird but chevelle fuckin rocks!

  • watch my vid for Comfortable Liar on my page =]

  • is anybody creeped out when Mary the mother Jesus garbed that little things baby(1:01)

  • this is wicked!!! they look so real..cool

  • I think chevelle's favorite band is TOOL ,,,this is a good thing too

  • y the fuck is so muchshit happingto thad litle dude

  • Poor little guy.

  • i dont get the video

  • The video was a little distracting from the song...

  • this is my favorite band of all time. im just trying to get into their earlier stuff. enjoying it so far!

  • Funny, I was a Radio host for my college when I was 20 in 1999. I actually stole this CD from the station because I thought it was sick. Saw them open for Stone Sour when all the crowd knew was "Red" off their second album. Think I was the only one who knew any of their older shit. Great band..

  • This video is awesome. It's kind of like Stinkfist.

    Chevelle is awesome

    \m/

  • Theres nothing wrong with this video, its unique. Great song though

  • I like the music video!

  • Cool song not too crazy about the video.

  • Overplayed?

Lmao for kids who don't know what they're talking about.

Tool is one of the few bands that gained their huge success not from being whored on music channels (MTV, Fuse) or the radio but because of putting out amazing music that a huge amount of people enjoy.

  • And with "amazing music" that ofcourse is opinion but the band being very talented is not.

But anyways, great song and I also like the vid. I would kill for a remastered version of Point #1 but I don't see that happening since the record company that released it would have to make a deal to release a remastered version .

  • I got the Album from iTunes, I think it's remastered. The vocals are clear on the bass is is good. Also the crazy cord @ 0:39-0:50 was removed

  • why the hell would they remove that, that owns

  • wtf is up with the video lol love chevelle tho

  • yeah i kinda can pick up on the comparisons between tool and chevelle, though lead singer of chevelle and nowhere match that dark intense quality maynard can achieve

  • That's because Pete and Maynard are two different people.. Yes they have similar music, but they are still different people.

  • anyone know the tab for this song's intro, i found a tab but it doesnt sound right...

  • GREAT video!

  • oh gosh that's so horriable what the F?? I didn't think chevelle was capable of this?? I mean cause there so amazing now..well at least they kick ass now wew!

  • this whle albu sounds too much like tool

  • OOPS. I meant resemblance of sound

  • His voice kinda resembles Maynards' in this song. Other than that, I really don't see any kind of resemblance to Tool.

  • It not more of a resemblance of but just the way this video was made

  • That was Chevelle's best album

  • Reminds me of tool's videos. :D

  • This is such an odd video.

  • in the vid point #1, look about a min into it (00:59 to be exact) and when the cam goes into the room, the tv is playing this vid.

  • Nice

  • mtvX was the shit!!

  • This was such a good band then.

They shoulda stuck with this image.

  • Awesome!

  • Notoriamente, tool.

  • this video creeps me out...

  • see Tool - Stinkfist or Tool - Sober...

  • same here..very scary..in a strange way!

  • tool..

  • haha yeah..i was thinking that exactly

  • kewl song but wtf?! weird ass music video. O_o

  • cool!

  • tool

  • whats the video about... seems surreal

  • oh how i love this song

  • They tossed that kid around like nothing. I woulda been like *HADOKEN TO FACE* and flew off into the distance with my childling :D

  • stop motion animation FTMFW

  • love this song!!!!!!!!!!!

  • This was not MTV it was MTV X. I used to love this channel. All rock videos, no commercials, and then one day it just disappeared and was replaced with MTV Jams, all rap videos, plenty of commercials. I will always despise MTV because of this.

  • this must be an old one cause mtv use to have that logo on the low right side

  • Chevelle sounds alittle different though but still really good. I really got into the new album but their first one is probably my favorite.

  • the best part is when they throw the kid side to side, I love this stop motion vid, chevelle rocks!!!!

  • this looks likea tool video

  • Well thats cause Tool is a primary influence for this band Chevelle depsite the subject matter being totally different from one another. But this band is great on there own with a really catchy but heavy sound. And this lead singer vocals are pretty damn good from grungy and hard growls to clean cut vocals.

  • In my opinion, Point #1 WAS the best album. I only think it hasn't really stood the test of time because the songs on the album are all extremely similar, while on later albums Chevelle had more variety.

Still, best album right here. Point #1 doesn't get the attention it deserves.

  • it doesn't either. Chevelle doesn't even hav the video for Point #1 or Mia on their channel!

  • I think Chevelle should remake this album with Modern Quality now that they're famous with a major label. My favorite song by them is "Tug-O-War" from their album This Type of Thinking (Could Do Us In)

  • I tend to disagree with you actually, Point #1 holds an incredible amount of variety as compared to their other material which is rather generic. I love this album and song, and it will always remain their best work.

  • Generic? Seriously, wtf are you talking about? What's so wrong about their modern material?

Don't get me wrong, I really like some most songs from Point #1, MIA being my fave. But as for audio quality, it sounds like it was recorded in a friends garage. Seriously, they should remaster it

  • generic, as in it sounds like every other mainstream hard rock band out there, just with a melodic twist that takes tips from Tool(which surely has been done before).

  • Fuck Off! Chevelle are Awesome. You're probably the same as other assholes who think that using a synthesizer isn't true skill. News Flash, if you want sound to blend well, you gotta have a good synthesizer. Hence, the inability to reallt hear Pete on "Point #1"

  • no hes right..this has tool all over it..but its a good song

  • Ummm, yeah, I know this video is inspired by Tool. But that's not even what I'm talking about. Every band is inspired by someone, you don't become a rock star without being a fan of rock. It's just up to the new group to create their own recognizable sound, and Chevelle did so.

  • i agree
