I remember back in the day me and my friend would do that one, and whoever completed about 3-4 tracks would usually win because the song was ridiculously hard.
Great game, nicely played ! have seem some other perfect renditions, but for me I always tried to survive the brutal drum tracks and do a bit of freestyling on the tuen.
can you guys get this on your ps3 by online purchase???? fuck i want it but i have a 360. i had this on ps2 and when i remixed this song it literally made me sleepy everytime i listened to it....by the way....L1, R1, R2
@taddict808 Oh me too! I'd happily re-purchase a lot of my PS2 games to get them on my PS3 harddrive and play them any time. It's probably too much to ask for rescaling though :/
In any case, if it's not true, I've still got my working PS2 and games (and I'm playing it as I type this)
I use square, triangle, circle, but not with my thumb. I have my index on square, middle on triangle, and ring on circle. Only problems I have with it are using powerups since I have to move a finger down for X, and I can't hold a rhythm or hit fast enough for long periods of time when it comes to T,C,T,C,T,C,... sections.
I find myself warming up to the "L1, R1, R2" combination just using both index fingers and middle finger on the right for R2...but I find that my skills on expert level are too weak...I was wondering if you have any tips.
All I can say is practice, practice, practice. You just have to learn the patterns, and once you've got those down, the game is really easy. And if you're really struggling with certain sections, it helps to remember when and where the powerups are. Eventually you'll come up with a rough strategy of which order to do the tracks in so you'll have enough health to survive.
Hey, thanks for the advice. It really does seem to be just a matter of lots of practice, and mastering one song at a time.
I was finally able to get a decent score on Funkstar De Luxe - "Ignition" (that second drum track was killing me!) Long live frequency (so much better than Guitar Hero and Rockband)
It would be more than awesome if they Harmonix made a Frequency collectors edition (or somthing) with a whole bunch of new songs!
I just love this song so MUCH in this game because of its melodic axe instruments... I've heard so many awesome remixes of this song. Makes me wish I still had my PS2 and this game... Definitely one of my favorites for the PS2 along with Amp... MAKE ANOTHER GAME LIKE THIS, Harmonix!
AMAZING GAME. ahh the memories. it gets 20X harder than that, you need insane quick fingers to unlock like the last 5 tracks straight dnb, mad drumming, i remember the only controls either you use square, X, circle, or L1 R1 and R2 which was a NECESSITY lol take it from me
I just got a copy of this game so I'm playing it for the first time and wow you're good! I wonder how long it takes to get that good, I've had the game 3 days. I'm not bad at Guitar Hero so hopefully not too long.
Thanks! I've been playing it for 6 or so years, ever since it came out. Even still, I can barely beat the last few bonus songs on expert. It's still very fun and I'm glad you're enjoying it!
Actually I don't think she's saying any lyrics at all. I thought she was saying "touchdown", too, haha. But in an interview with Orbital, they said that she just sings whatever, not any specific lyrics.
found the actual lyrics, it goes on, actual song, Orbital- Funny Break (one is enough) Only one lover, never two loves baby. One is enough and it's driving me crazy. (I touch stars.) Only one lover, never two loves baby. One is enough and it's driving me crazy. (I reach the sky.) Only one lover, never two loves baby. One is enough and it's driving me crazy. (I touch stars.) Only one lover, never two loves baby. One is enough and it's driving me crazy. (I touch stars.)
actual lyrics :D Only one lover, never two loves baby. One is enough and it's driving me crazy. i freaking love the vocals on this X)

same the only way I did it was I had it on the folder between 2 books and I would finish the combo and quickly hit over.

Makes it just more inpressive that you can still play so well, I imagine being to slow playing with my thumb only!

They don't sell PS2 games on the PSN. There's currently no way of emulating PS2 games on the PS3, though they're working on it.
MattyBoy714 2 years ago
@MattyBoy714 there are rumors that that will change at E3 2010, I hope the rumors are true :D

As an avid frequency player, I was just wondering what key combination you find easiest?
Do you use "L1, R1, R2" or "Square, Triangle, Circle".....or a mix of those?

They have Amplitude, which is a sequel, but it's not as good and I don't like it very much.

I agree. i Liked frequency online community better. Less competing and more remixing/sharing/chatting. Those were the dayz :(

Everyone keeps talking about their FreQuency disks breaking. I've had mine since it came out, and it spent almost 4 years lost in my friend's room.
Earlier this year we finally found another copy, bought it, and then she found my original in her room.
Still works perfectly
