  • Dave's brother you really are so worried about the spelling of your name after 47 years. I at least mentioned your brothers name on my post as lead guitarist with the band no on else has,you must have a small mind. Thanks for the info.

  • In your dreams! Barry Conways son, he was never the Lead singer of this band I should know I was there at the time before you were born.Sorry about this but (facts are facts ) I still have the original acetate which was sent to me by Decca and they decided to release Now and Again as the B side of the single which I arranged ,thats a little more info for you.

  • I think the A-Side is better this sounds like to many songs of the time. A past fan of this band.

  • Came upon this by chance - my brother was the lead guitarist and the last name was Ampleford (not Amplefort as shown on the "Where have you been post") Just too many groups in the 60's - they sound really good but it was the luck of the draw back then if you made the big time.

  • I really like this song, its a hidden gem should definitely been the A side and could well have been a big hit for them.

  • I can't find the A-side anywhere. Do you think you could upload that one as well?

    Great little band. Thanks!

  • The lead singer is Barry Conway... my dad.... Still sounds great.

  • No, I haven't played in a band for years. I just play the piano for my own amusement, and to annoyance to my wife and family!!!!

  • Wow!! ..... this one takes me back. I was the drummer in the group. This track was actually the 'B' side. If my memory serves me correctly, 'Now and Again' was going to be the follow up single for 'The Applejacks' after their hit 'Tell Me When' they never recorded it , but we did........and the rest is history...........

  • Thanks For that information are you still playing in bands now?

  • hi the drummer in this group was henry winkler, and i was the bass player, john simpson.if you read this henry, please get in contact,as i would love to talk about the old times

  • @MrSimmo1964 i remember this band use to live across the road to John Simpson in Sawley Road many years ago
