@iElectrica I know what you mean. In the manga, Anzu wasn't all that preachy. She had a stronger personality than in the anime. Yet the original anime persona, she didn't always stand on the friendship soapbox.

Most folk blame 4Kids for this. The company didn't just translate the Japanese series. They re-wrote it completely, and made Tea the Ambassador of Goodwill.
