  • Nice to hear someone pronounce Paiste correctly!

And yeah, Paiste cymbals rule! I stated using them when I was a teenager because a friend sold me a few 2002s really cheap, and I have only played Paiste cymbals since.

  • Hey terry, Im looking to buy some sort of HEAVY DRY ride around 22 inches. Do u have any lying aorund which you would be willing to sell for a good price?

  • @metalYES12 Unfortunately I don't. Have you checked Craigslist? What part of the country are you in?

  • @bonzoleum Im actually from Australia :) But if you could send me a link to this guys website, i would really appreciate it. Im in dire need of a new ride cymbal as my band is about to record and im using a shitty sabian B8 20" ride.

  • @metalYES12 Hey, if you are still looking for a ride, I have a 70's Zildjian that is kind of heavy and dry, it's a 22". I'm looking at around selling it for $250 Australian. Let us know man.

  • Thanks for the history on paiste, I have all 505's around my kit with some 2000's penciled in here and there :)

  • Hey Terry, Jazzmaster cymbals are made by masterwork cymbals, which make cymbals for soultone, trx, etc.

  • @christianmc123 Thanks for the info-it's been so long I forgot about the Jazzmaster name! Thanks for the friend invite!

  • Hey Terry, I was wondering if you can make a video on The Ocean or Misty Mountain Hop. That would be great!!

  • Hey Terry, I'm looking for a good ride along the lines of what Bonzo was using at the time of the recording of Presence. I love the sound of the ride all over that album - Achilles and Candy Store especially. Do you know what he used or do you have any other recommendations?

  • @smajda85 According to the Paiste literature he was playing a 2002 24" RIDE model. I know he sometimes played a 24" Giant Beat live as late as 73' .. It definitely to me sounds B8 alloy and 24" (on Tea For One you can really hear the ride). It's either IMO a 24" 2002 RIDE or a 24" GB.

I've heard he sometimes used a 22" 2002 (FO602 early on) as well. I've seen some live pics where the cymbal looks smaller than the 'normal' 24".

But, The 24" 2002 RIDE I have sounds just like the TEA FOR ONE.

  • @bonzoleum I'm definitely going to invest in getting one then. I also meant to mention Tea for One for the great ride sound on that one. I already have a paiste crash and hi hats (14 inch I think.) They have a terrific sound!

  • and here I sit... with no cymbals haha

  • i bought a paiste 1000 15 inch high hats today for 20 bucks at a yardsale are those any good i just bought it becuase i had 20 bucks siting around
